I could probably ask the Short Stories Critics Club about this, but as they're looking rather busy at the moment, I'd like to see if I can get some help from a few regular members. Most of my recent writing works have gone un-reviewed lately, and it's starting to make me wonder the slightest bit if it's because I'm simply not as good at writing as I may have previously estimated. If you're reading this, I would really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind at least checking out one of the stories listed below. I'm not even asking for reviews here--if you were to read one of these stories and simply post a short blog comment on this entry telling me what you thought, that would be really helpful. Of course, reviews are still welcome, but all I'm asking is for a basic opinion of my writing. Here are some of my most recent stories, all of which have gone with little to no feedback: Flying Alone The Mansion Wish You Were Here Again, any help would be extremely appreciated, even if only to find out how my writing's been doing lately. EDIT: This is the last time I'll be bumping this--any help would mean a lot to me.

I did read the entry, and though I had to backtrack a few times, I still got the gist of it. I think that this is something that's been getting continually worse over the past few months. I think it could be a result of a number of things (bonesiii is sounding pretty accurate with member turnover), one of which is just that some members might be getting older and their tastes are changing. Either that, or arrogance is "in" because showing indifference or being boastful is supposed to equal strength somehow. I'll never get why some people think that not caring or not being helpful makes them look better. It's a bit confusing to understand why people behave certain ways sometimes, but I'll applaud you for your effort of trying to encourage more polite behavior. I don't want BZP to devolve into a forum of flaming and trolling--not that I think that it's happening quickly, but the way things are going, it might be on that track so gradually that most people don't notice it.

Cannot wait for the first set of testing times to come in from Barcelona. I remember doing a bunch of math to average the times of the cars last year, so as to figure out who was fastest. My predictions weren't too far off--I had Brawn as fastest by over a second with Ferrari and Red Bull tied on a dead-even pace behind them. =P

Geometry, algebra, or math of any kind is not my favorite subject. I'd rather work on a research paper than a 50 question math exam, so you're not alone there.

Hey, good to hear things seem to have done a 180 for you. I wish I could get into gear and get started on some writing projects, but I keep getting distracted by other stuff. That's a pretty awesome solution to the job problem as well--your art skills are starting to pay off, literally. I'm stuck on math stuff too, but I loved astronomy when I studied it in science a few years ago. I'll have to see if there's not an astronomy course I can take soon.

It's supposed to be cold and wintery where I live, but it seems that Mother Nature opted for a brisk two weeks of brutally cold temperatures before deciding that spring should be in the air. The temperature is sitting at twice as many degrees Fahrenheit as it should be at this time of year. Normally I'd complain about how it should be snowing, but the weather outside is absolutely fantastic right now. It's warm and breezy just like one of those lazy summer days... and in the middle of winter. I love the weather.

So now that I am somewhat caught up on writing stuff, and finally did get a refreshing bit of inspiration earlier, why is it that I feel like I'm worse off than I was before? There are still some other ideas that I'd like to put into topics here on BZP eventually, and even though I want to work on them, I can't seem to get the drive to do it all of a sudden, even when I was ready to write just last night. Can't figure it out at all, and it's driving me nuts. Oh, and does anyone have any idea why the views for my latest story topic doubled from 40 to 80 today even though I only viewed it four times?
