    Catching Up

    Finally decided to put aside some time for BZP and end the pseudo-hiatus that I've had going for the last week or so. Went on a total posting spree in GD to make up for lost time, as well as caught up on all the hubbub regarding psionics and the end of Bionicle sets. I don't really think I missed much, quite honestly. In addition to that, I've managed to catch up (I think?) on reviews for the most part (Check your HB Glats topic LK!), although I know there are still one or two things I missed (a review for your SSAO story is due soon, Velox ). There are still some stories that I'm obliged to read, and a number of writing edits that I'll hopefully be able to make in the coming weeks, but I've finally gotten the ball rolling towards making progress on this stuff. I'm stopped at 1499 posts for a reason, as well. How's everyone doing?

    I've never read any of these, although they're all by authors I'm familiar with. I'd recommend Player Piano, just because I like Kurt Vonnegut's stuff. Outside of these, I'd also recommend the Ranger's Apprentice series--not many people seem to have read it or heard of it, but despite this I'd place it up with other adventure/fantasy stories like Narnia and Harry Potter as far as how much I like it. Any of the books in the series are a fairly good read.

    Just curious 'cause I don't have your opinion on this yet--what's your take on all these Schumacher comeback rumors? Personally, I hope big-time that he'll be back next year, and for at least a few years.

    Well, I was in a lobby full of 7500+ guys, so it still gave me like, 7 points. Usually when I get second I'll always lose 20+ points, now. Funny--just raced a rematch at RR and won by a longshot, too. =P

    Yeah, I was stuck at 8900 for a long while. Just lost my first race in ages--and at Rainbow Road, too. ;_; Oh well, 2nd's not bad. =P

    That's why I haven't shown it or linked to it. I know what it is, though. (And knowing how far along you have to go just to get to the Phantoka ranks, it's probably hidden at like, 25,000 posts or something. )

    Agh, sorry to hear that things have gotten so hectic that it means a BZP absence. If it means nothing but absolute devotion to school/job hunting/whatever, then definitely give those things adequate attention above all else. What probably matters most right now is what will determine your future, and right now that's probably not BZP. So stay focused, Lady, and try to keep in touch!

    The TV commentators over here are always pointing that out. The winner of the first race has won the championship like, 70% of the time, I think.
