  1. Hi, guys! Since Halloween was yesterday, so happy belated Halloween! Anyway, speaking of Halloween, which Bionicle character do you guys think is the scariest? For me, here's my list: 1. The Bahrag 2. 2003 Makuta Teridax 3. Ultimate Dume 4. The Kardas Dragon 5. Gadunka 6. The 2008 Makuta 7. Tuma 8. Vorox 9. The Skopio living creature that Mata Nui faced in The Legend Reborn 10. The Lord of Skull Spiders 11. Umarak the Destroyer So, what about you guys?
  2. "Only six Matoran were left free to oppose them." — Narrator, If a Universe Ends Here, have my renditions of six valiant rebels from Voya Nui. Before you ask, yes, there are inconsistencies (read: asymmetries) in their color schemes, it is intentional because in my book Karzahni is obsessed with asymmetry in everything (have you ever seen his mask?) And even then, Garan and Kazi came out quite symmetrical. Sigh. Anyway. I was not happy with some of Voyatorans’ tools (visually), so I decided to revamp them a bit. The most notable changes belong to Dalu, Kazi and Velika. Dalu now wears a pair of charger clamps that are wired directly to her body, hence their ability to drain her own powers. Kazi’s tools are simple yet brilliant: tuning forks! With Velika I went down the total reimagination road, with him having a cybernetic hammer arm and a chisel that suppose to perform the same task as his power carvers. * * * Now folks remember, if you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info! I also now have a Patreon page, so please consider supporting!
  3. Hey guys, I just bought a 8693 Chirox on eBay and the front tape part that holds the cave decoration onto the box was half cutoff thus leaving the cave part hanging. I opened it up and usually, sets would come with a few extra black pins. I suspect it may not be new. However, it did not so I wonder two things: 1. If the set has been opened as the front tape part was cut off or if this was just something caused by shipping, etc. I realize that there may have not been extra parts with the Phantoka sets as there were none with the Mahri. 2. I question if it was new or not; the tape being half cutoff and no extra pins make me question. However, the instruction book was folded and I think that is the case with all the older Bionicle sets. I would strongly appreciate it if everyone contributed! I attached two pictures; the one with the hand is mine and the one without is how it should be for the box.
  4. Taito was an adventurous if clumsy Ta-Matoran living in a remote village somewhere in the southern isles. His adventuring was considered odd by his fellow villagers, and thus he became something of an outcast. On one of his travels, he encountered a Toa stone. He vowed to look for the Matoran for whom it was intended and help him fulfill his destiny. Little did Taito suspect that he was the intended recipient of the stone. During one of his travels, he encountered an old, abandoned Suva, and upon inserting the stone into a receptacle, a beam of energy turned him into a Toa. Taito became one of the Undestined - Toa who, lacking a concrete destiny to be fulfilled, were tasked with travelling throughout the various islands of the Matoran universe, seeking evil wherever it may preside. Around the time Taito became a Toa, a number of other Matoran - five, to be precise - also became Toa. All were without Toa teams, and eventually drifted together to form an unofficial team, called the Toa Voya (meaning "voyage", to signify that they are not assigned to any one island). Taito wears the Kanohi Arai, the Great Mask of Fortification in the shape of a Hau. The Arai combines the powers of other masks, such as the Hau and Pakari in smaller doses, allowing the user to more effectively hold their ground against an overwhelming force. Taito is unlike most other Ta-Matoran or Toa of Fire. Though his element is characterized by brashness, hotheadedness and arrogance, Taito is curious, adventurous, and well mannered. This moc started out when I wanted to come up with my own Matoran build. Then once I was done, I thought I might as well build a Toa version, and then I thought I might as well add him to the new Toa team I was putting together. Further members coming soon! 5. I'm wondering what would have prevented g2's end and also how kids could have noticed the sets on the shelves because it seems like g1 wasn't difficult to notice thanks to those canisters and it's how I first noticed bionicle so I'm wondering if that's a leading factor's in it's early death Here's my video discussing this topic: Video with inappropriate content removed. -B6
  6. Hi, guys. Since the Makuta contest is over this week, I have a question that you guys may think about: What do we do now that Bionicle G2 is cancelled and the Makuta contest is over? It's a sad question, and I don't know the answer. I mean, there are no updates about G2 after the contest so far, and we don't hear what will come after it. We got 9 days of October and two months after it left. Do we know what to expect next for Bionicle G2. Do you hope any? For me, I hope that Lego could someday celebrate Bionicle's 15th anniversary and released the Ekimu's Falke polybag in the US (I live there) before this year is over, because Bionicle is one of our favorite things, so Lego should do these things (well, the anniversary at least). What do you think 2017 onwards would be like before G3 would theoretically come in the future? Boredom without the Bionicle set line running? Moving on to a new theme (a new constraction line, Hero Factory G2, or something else)? Make Bionicle MOCs? Make BZPower projects that would, I don't know, honor Bionicle G2 for its good things and/celebrate Bionicle's 15th anniversary? Make new official stories by Lego for G2 that take place after the events of The Journey to One Netflix series, like serials or more books? Officially re-continue and perhaps conclude the G1 story? What will the future of Bionicle be like without the G2 set line running and for us? I know these are also sad questions to think about. For me, I would move on to another theme, make a fan-made project that celebrate Bionicle's 15th anniversary in my way, play with my Bionicle sets, and perhaps talk about Bionicle to my friends through Instagram. Other than these, well, I can't think anything else. Have any thoughts and/or ideas about this?
  7. %5BRender%5D Team Sevetu (Technorealm OCs) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr These three are OC Toa from Technorealm Bionicle AU. The are a part of an RP Adventure me and my spouse are leading for our friends geardirector, artiestroke and galaxy-of-jellyfish. All three of the models somewhat based off Demitsorou's drawing of them. %5BRender%5D Toa Ferron (Technorealm OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Ferron is Toa of Iron and Gear’s character, a Nynrah Ghost in the past. Unlike all Nynrah Ghosts, he never was blessed with visions of blueprints, and never built anything brilliant. One day he saved a wounded Toa that was attacked by the Dark Hunters, who lended their Power to Ferron. Led by strange visions of objects and voices, Ferron is traveling to find his Destiny. (Character Bio / More Pics) %5BRender%5D Toa Rixec (Technorealm OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Rixec is Toa of Psionics and Roxy’s character. She was a monk in a secluded Ce-Matoran monastery when her spiritual leader saw visions of peril and lended Rixec a Toa Stone. Now new-formed Toa of Psionics is on a journey to discover her Destiny. (Character Bio / More Pics) %5BRender%5D Toa Arion (Technorealm OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Arion is a Toa of Fire and Nick’s character. He was just a simple blacksmith from Akamai-worshipping village. His Turaga saw visions of darkness on the North and saw it as a sign to pass down his Toa Stone to Arion. Now Arion travels north to learn about what exactly is wrong and, if such is his Destiny, prevent the disaster. 8. Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle G2 is over ( ) and we are talking about what would G3 look like if it were to happen, so I would like to ask you this: what characters would you like to come back, how would they be and look like, and how would you like their story information and backstories to be like? It would be obvious that the Toa Mata/Masters and Makuta (Teridax) would come back, but I would like some other characters (both G1 and G2) to come back. Usually when characters come back in reboots, they tend to look sort of different and have their story information at least slightly altered. Examples include Spider-Man movies and TV shows, Marvel's Hulk movies, Batman movies and TV shows, The Powerpuff Girls TV shows, Transformers TV series, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV shows and movies. Bionicle G3 would probably have a new building system if anyone is sick and tired of the CCBS. Here's my list of Bionicle characters: 1. Toa Mata/Toa Nuva/Masters/Uniters - Obvious. I would like them to be Matoran who train to be Toa before they can become them. The first forms on the Toa should be a mix of their Mata and Master forms, but with no gold or silver pieces. All of the Toa should be medium-sized sets that could save some money for Lego. They first would get new armor that makes them Uniters and able to combine with the Elemental Creatures, then get Energized Protodermis to become the Toa Nuva, then wear the Adaptive Armor and become able to combine with the Av-Matoran. I would also like the Toa to form the Toa Kaita again and a Toa Nui. If they get new and easy-to-memorize titles, they would be Heroes of Elements (and the same would go to other Toa). 2. Tahu - His first form would have: Primary color: opaque red. Secondary color: orange. Weapons: two fire swords that combine into a surfboard. Mask: Mask of Shielding or Fire. Eye color: blue or orange. He would be confirmed as the leader of the team this time. 3. Gali - Primary color: normal blue. Secondary colors: light or dark blue. Weapons: two hooks or a trident. Mask: Mask of Water-Breathing or Water. Eye color: blue or yellow. 4. Lewa - Primary color: normal green. Secondary colors: light or dark green. Weapons: an axe/sword or two. Mask: Mask of Levitation or Air. Eye color: light green. His elemental power would be Air this time. 5. Kopaka - Primary color: white. Secondary colors: light grey or light blue. Weapons: a shield and a sword/spear. Mask: Mask of X-Ray Vision or Ice. Eye color: blue. He would be the deputy of the team this time, too. 6. Pohatu - Primary color: brown. Secondary colors: tan or yellow. Weapons: boomerangs and Feet Additions. Mask: Mask of Speed or Stone. Eye color: Orange, yellow, or green. He would have the same Mata gear function as his Mata set, so when you turn the knob, he can kick with his leg this time. He should also have his cheerful G1 personality. 7. Onua - Primary color: black. Secondary colors: dark gray or purple. Weapons: claws/hammer. Mask: Mask of Strength or Earth. Eye color: green or dark green. His body would shape like his Master counterpart. 8. Takua/Takanuva - stays the same, but his eyes would be either blue or yellowish. 9. The Turaga of Mata Nui/Toa Metru/Toa Hordika - stay the same. The Toa Metru should have their arms placed horizontally rather than. Let them have the same secondary colors and eye colors as the Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters above or their Turaga forms. I would like the Toa Metru/Turaga teach the Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters how to do the duties of Toa. 10. Toa Inika/Mahri - stay the same, but I would like them to be the Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters' protégés. 11. Jaller - In his Inika form, give him two swords. 12. Hahli - Her secondary color would be light blue/dark blue, so he wouldn't look like a Toa Lightning (white) or a Toa of the Green (green). 13. Kongu - in his Mahri form, have him keep his melee combat weapon that he abandoned in G1. 14. Hewkii - in his Mahri form, make his arms even and give him a right hand. 15. Nuparu - in his Mahri form, give him the Aqua Blaster Blade. 16. Mata Nui (being) - If Mata Nui were to be a 7-foot-tall, Toa-like being, he would also have able to become giant, like his special edition set in 2009, in the story when he, well, goes Hulk on his enemies. If he were to have a Thornax Launcher in his set again, Mata Nui would have and use it in the story this time, or if he doesn't include it, don't have him do it in the story. It would have to be one of these two choices in G3. 17. The Infected Rahi from 2001 - I would like the Kane-Ra and Muaka's arms to be poseable and be less loose for storage. Give each of them two treads for legs, and the same goes to the Tarakava. I would like the Sand Tarakava to be released as a set as well. The Nui-Rama (wasps) need four more legs while the Nui-Jaja (scorpions) need two more legs. The Manas would not be battery-powered this time (I am not a fan of needing batteries). 18. Bohrok, Bohrok Va, Bahrag, and Bohrok-Kal - stay the same. 19. Exo-Toa - stay the same, but they could adapt to Toa's new building-system-made bodies. 20. Boxor - stay the same. I would like Agori or Okotan use it, too. 21. Rahkshi - stay the same. I would also like the Rahkshi of Heat Vision to be named, too. 22. Makuta Teridax - a mix of his 2003 set, Mask of Light movie form, Ultimate Dume set, Legends of Metru Nui movie form, and 2016 Titan forms by description, and I would like him to appear in a set again this time. He would be Mata Nui's brother or just be called "brother" again. He would first have the Mask of Shadows. When defeated by the Toa Mata, he would wear the Mask of Ultimate Power (as a set this time) to combat their powers the next time they meet. He would also use the Mask of Control to control his minions along the way. His primary colors should be black and red. 23. Takutanuva - his set should come with the Mask of Light and Shadows this time. 24. Nidhiki - it would be interesting if he were a Toa who was mutated in a science experiment. It would be cool if he appeared as both Toa and monster as sets. 25. Krekka - stays the same, but with two eyes this time. His arms should look more like the Legends of Metru Nui movie than his 2004 set, meaning they should be symmetrical rather than looking different from each other. 26. Niwark - stays the same. I would love him fight against Ikir or Agil. 27. Sidorak - stays the same, but his arms' articulation should be fixed. He needs a left hand, too. 28. Roodaka - stays the same, but she needs hands. 29. Keetongu - stays the same, but he needs hands/paws. 30. Visorak - stay the same. 31. Vahki - stay the same, and they should have elemental powers, too, if they were to control and patrol their certain Metru. 32. Lhikan - stays the same. He would appear as both Toa and Turaga as sets. 33. Kikanalo - stay the same. 34. Dume - stays the same, but give him a staff and make look more like a Turaga than his 2004 set. A Toa set being released this time would be cool, too. 35. The Rahaga/Toa Hagah - stay the same, but the other four Toa Hagah should be released as sets this time. 36. Voporak - give his lower arms hands. Would be cool if his set includes the Mask of Time, and he would be Sidorak's servant and his second-in-command for the Visorak and/or a fully official Dark Hunter. 37. Krakua - would like to see him as an official set. 38. The Piraka - would be cool if they are enhanced during science experiments to use their elemental powers independently and able to combine into Kaita and Piraka Nui. Plus, I would like them to have opening mouths in their sets. 39. Zaktan - would be cool if he were to be fused with Protodites during a science experiment. Think of it as mixing Skakdi DNA with Protodites. 40. Vezon - would be interesting if he were to be created from a science experiment as a clone created from Vezok's DNA, but deformed as a result. 41. Fenrakk/Kardas Dragon - stays the same. 42. Axonn - stays the same. 43. Brutaka - stays the same. It would cool if he appeared as both normal and Pit-mutated forms in set forms. 44. The Barraki - would be interesting if they are mutated with sea animal DNA during a science experiment. Plus, I would like them to have opening mouths in their sets. 45. Kalmah - he would have 6-8 tentacles for legs. 46. Ehlek - perhaps giving his set's claws a function where you push his claw prongs into his gauntlets and then push them out, similar to Wolverine from Marvel or the Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Give him one or two secondary colors, which are yellow and/or blue (I got that idea from Electro from Marvel and The Amazing Spider-Man movie in 2014). Also, fix his torso by making it less weird. Plus, give him an eel tail and a lower jaw. 47. Carapar - he would have 6-8 crab legs for legs and one pincer on each hand while his Squid Launcher is mounted on his shoulder. Plus, give him a lower jaw. 48. Mantax - make his arms look even by having same pieces on the forearms at the same length. Plus, give him a lower jaw. I would like him to have a function where he can turn from standing upright to having his body laying on the ground perfectly flat, like a manta ray that he is based on. 49. Pridak - give him a shark tail that can articulate, similar to Jawblade from Hero Factory. Perhaps make his dorsal fin and teeth bigger. Would be cool if his mouth can open and close in his set. 50. Nocturn - stays the same, but perhaps give him an extra tentacle. 51. Gadunka - stays the same. 52. Dekar and Hydraxon - stay the same. 53. Lesovikk - stays the same. If he were to appear in G3, make him more associated with the Toa Mahri's mission. Plus, he has to get over his guilt this time. 54. Karzahni - stays the same, but I would like his normal and mutated forms to be released as sets. If he were to appear in G3, make him more associated with the Toa Mahri's mission, too. The Toa Mahri would gladly give him pay back. 55. Artakha - would love to see him as a set. 56. Matoran - feels classic that way. I would like the ones that came out as sets be reintroduced, too. I would also like Vultraz and Mazeka to get really involved in the Toa Nuva's battle with the Kardi Nui Makuta. 57. Velika - as both a Matoran and a Great Being in sets. 58. Maxilos and Spinax - stay the same. 59. The Karda Nui Makuta in 2008 - stay the same. 60. Makuta Icarax - I would like him to stab Makuta Teridax in the back when a situation calls for it much more than in the 2008 storyline, similar to Scarscream from Transformers. 61. Makuta Miserix - would like to see him as an official set and goes to battle Teridax more. 62. Glatorian - stay the same. 63. Gresh and Vastus - give them Jungle powers to match their tribe. 64. Gelu - have Mata Nui give him Ice powers to match his tribe. 65. Agori - stay the same. 66. The Vorox - stay the same, but it would be cool if they were once normal Glatorian who were mutated in a science experiment with scorpion DNA. 67. The Zesk - stay the same, but it would be cool if they were once normal Agori who were mutated in a science experiment with scorpion DNA. 68. The Skrall - stay the same. Perhaps fix Tuma's legs' articulation. 69. Tren Krom - stays the same, and I would like him to be released as a set. 70. The Shadowed One and the Dark Hunters - stay the same. 71. Lariska - would like to see her as a set. 72. Helryx - would like to see her as a set. 73. Tuyet - would like to see her as a set. Perhaps make her a main villain in a new storyline. 74. The Element Lords - stay the same, but I would like to think that they got their powers from the Elemental Creatures (from G2) through a science experiment created by the Great Beings. The Great Beings would study the Creatures and their powers, so they can take some of their DNA and use it to turn normal people into the Element Lords. I would also like them to be released as sets. 75. Baterra - stay the same, but I would like them to be released as sets. 76. Makuta Spiriah - stay the same, but would be interesting if he were to be the ruler of the Skakdi. 77. Nektann (warlord) - Stays the same, but I would like him being slightly bigger than a Piraka in his set this time. It would be interesting if he would be Spiriah's second-in-command. 78. Nektann (robot) - I would like it to be its own set, like Maxilos. 79. Kabrua - would like to see him as a set, and would be slightly larger than a Vorox in his set, too. Or, I would like him to be the Vorox's own Tuma. 80. The Great Beings - I would like to see at least one of them or Angonce as a set. 81. The Protectors and their people in the island of Okoto - stay the same, but it would be interesting if they reveal as Agori who live in an island (Okoto) on Spherus Magna's Aqua Magna region. 82. Ekimu - stays the same, I would like to think that Ekimu would be one of the Great Beings' creations. He would also either be an inventor of Kanohi or Masks of Powers and provides the Great Beings with them, or the Great Beings had taught how to make masks. Either, he would be the first Mask Maker in history, and he would provided assistance. He would also be an assistant to Artakha or either one of them is inspired by the other in creating things. I would also like him to be a Titan set. 83. Skull Spiders - stay the same. I would like one of them to mind-control Lewa. 84. Lord of Skull Spiders - his set should be released as Titan-sized, like the 2015 Online Animations. His face should be made of more pieces and have two more legs. I would like to see him show and use the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders in the G3 story, too. 85. Skull Creatures and Skull Raiders - stay the same. I would like the see the Skull Raiders, including Axato, as sets. I would like all of the six Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters get his/her own Skull foe and drained mask this time. I mean, Gali and Tahu never had their own foes or had their masks drained. Kopaka's and Pohatu's weren't drained in the G2 story, either. Have the Skull villains steal and drain all of their masks in the story, but do one of the Toa at the time (example: first Lewa. After getting his mask back, it's Pohatu's turn, then Kopaka, etc.), too (I would like to think that Axato would be Gali's own foe who could drain her mask). The Skull villains should get more character development and have longer and harder battles than in G2. 86. Kulta - He needs more character development and have longer and harder battles than in G2. 87. The Elemental Creatures - I would like to think of them as inspirations for the creation of the Element Lords or creations of the Great Beings. I would like that there are more than seven creatures (for example, a Creature of Lightning and a Creature of Air) and the fact that there are types of them (for example: two Ikir's). I would like the creatures to combine with at least any Toa, Glatorian, Umarak the Hunter, and perhaps Ekimu. Agil should be released as an official set that can combine with a being in the same way as the others (What I mean by that is attaching to the back and head). Also, Uxar's wings should be fixed. 88. Umarak - I would like to think that he may either join the Dark Hunters or would want to lead them by overthrowing the Shadowed One. It would be interesting if he would become the Destroyer by being mutated in a science experiment, perhaps in a similar condition as the Abomination from The Incredible Hulk movie in 2008. His forelegs should be fixed. I would also like to see him capture and use all of the Elemental Creatures. (He only captured two while he didn't use Uxar as much as Ketar). 89. The Shadow Traps - stay the same, but I would like the Ice Trap to be released in sets along the way. 90. The Elemental Beasts/Shadow Horde - stay the same, but I would like each of the Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters have his/her own foe and corrupted mask. Each foe should come with the Toa's corrupted mask in the story. I mean, Lewa and Pohatu never had their own foes or corrupted masks. Kopaka has his own mask, but not really a foe. Gali has her own foe, but not her mask. I would like Storm Beast to include Gali's corrupted mask rather than Kopaka's if it were Gali's own enemy. I got the idea about science experiments from recent Marvel movies and TV shows, like Ultimate Spider-Man TV show, The Amazing Spider-Man movies in 2012 and 2014, and Marvel's Hulk movies. So, there. These are my ideas of characters that I would like them to appear in G3. I know it's a lot, but I picked them because I feel that they would be the most significant characters to a story, and I would like their sets to be more accurate to the story this time. Also so, you understand what I'm saying here, all of this? What about your ideas?
  9. I was just at LEGO Land in Billund, Denmark (woo!) and I noticed that there was next to no BIONICLE sets left, however both phase 1 G2's Lewa and phase 2 G2's Gali were in massive leftover quantities, left in bargain bins while a mix of other G2 sets remained at full price on shelves. Looking back, was there just less love for the G2 Lewa and Gali sets, or do you think it was a coincidence at one of LEGO's most highly visited stores? photo credit http://lopez-the-heavy.deviantart.com/art/Lewa-Is-Sadness-478068157
  10. Based on what we saw of G2's run, what sort of Story and Sets do you think would have been in the "last" year of BIONICLE G2? Would the Uniters have carried over? Or would the Toa get another upgrade? Would it have been a 1/2 year, or a full year with 2 waves? Other than the Makuta, would there have been other Titans? Would Makuta have lived, bit the dust, or turned good (like Garmadon)?
  11. hello all i am trading a lot of bionicle pieces away. my list: red bionicle inika arm pieces parts form metru matu lots of hand/foot pieces blue vakhi body red vaki arm whenua armour red vakhi lower body lego figures pm for trades
  12. Hi, guys! Since Halloween is coming this month, what Bionicle G2 character would you like to be for Halloween? I know that costumes aren't made, but people make custom costumes to do cosplays, right? Plus, G2 is cancelled this year and in two years, there is a much smaller amount of characters in G2 than G1, so the choices are more limited, sadly. Anyway, for what I would want to dress as for Halloween, I would be Onua, Pohatu, Lord of Skull Spiders, Skull Scorpio, Skull Basher, Kulta, Ekimu, Terak, Ketar, Melum, Umarak, Quake Beast, and Makuta. I would also put a doll or something that represents an Elemental Creature on the back of my Toa Uniter or Umarak the Hunter costume if I want Terak to be on my Onua Uniter costume or Ketar on Pohatu. So, what about you guys. What Bionicle G2 character are you going to be for Halloween? That way, if you can make a costume, that will give you time to make a costume based on your character, so you can celebrate Halloween with it. Just giving an advice.
  13. This will be a story series that takes place roughly one thousand years after the original line ended, by this time a new great war has occurred and wiped out the Agori, as compensation the Turaga decided to assimilate their culture and have forbidden the few survivors from telling the newly made Matoran the past and have abandoned the old Matoran language and religion. This story is following the adventures of Ahkmou and some acquaintances of his. Here's the link to the Discussion Board http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/23527-ahkmous-return-discussion-board/ Please give criticism, so far I've only gotten some from family that I've made read this.
  14. Hi, guys. I have been wondering about the G2 characters. We know that the Toa Mata are recycled as the Masters while Makuta Teridax as Makuta, but there are so many new other characters introduced in G2. So, my question is this: why there are the new characters? Why not the old ones? Usually, when I see reboots, they recycle protagonists, their friends/allies, and main antagonists. Examples include The Amazimg Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man TV shows, The Incredible Hulk in 2008, Captain America movies in 2011-2016, Teen Titans Go! TV series, this year's The Powerpuff Girls, and the Transformers TV shows. Some of them also recycled old villains and some introduced new ones. Bionicle G2, however, is one of a few reboots that I know that only recycled the main protagonists and main antagonist, not the heroes' friends/allies. This reminds me of Transformers' Beast Wars and Beast Machines TV shows, and this year's new Ghostbusters movie. Bionicle G2 also is like a reboot mixed with how Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom has all-but-one-characters-are-new idea (the character, Indiana Jones, is the only recycled character in the movie and his not-rebooted-at-all franchise). I know that Lego is trying to make new stories for Bionicle, but why put new characters that we are not familiar with from G1? Some of these new characters, however, remind me of some old G1 characters. Here a list: 1. The Protectors - the Turaga of Mata Nui 2. Ekimu - Mata Nui (being), Artakha, and Takanuva 3. Skull Spiders - Visorak (mixed with Infected Kanohi and Krana) 4. Lord of Skull Spiders - Fenrakk 5. Skull Slicer - Nocturn and the Glatorian 6. Skull Scorpio - the Nui-Rama and the Skopio X-V1 (the name) 7. Skull Basher - Kane-Ra 8. Kulta - Brutaka (the whacking-all-six-Toa-in-one-hit action) 9. The Elemental Creatures - the Rahi and Element Lords 10. Umarak the Hunter - the Dark Hunters 11. The Elemental Beasts - the Bohrok 12. People from Okoto - the Matoran and Agori So, why didn't Lego use the old supporting characters as well? Would it have made a difference for G2? Imagine the Turaga helping the Toa get the Golden Masks while going commando on the Visorak instead? Toa fighting the Fenrakk at the City of the Mask Makers? Toa awakening Mata Nui the being (not the giant robot form and just a Toa-sized form) or Artahka in the City? So, what do you think? Got any ideas about why the new characters in G2 replaced the old ones in G2?
  15. I ask this question for a few reasons...the first being that I recently have been in stores and online a lot searching for DC Funko figures to buy for a friend's birthday. The more obvious reason being that Funko figures have taken the world by storm, and are rapidly expanding to include new brands. These figures are highly collectible, and exclusives are being released at retailers such as GameStop or at conventions such as NYCC. Everything from Star Wars to Transformers to Harry Potter to Fast and Furious and even Frozen and BioShock and - shockingly enough - Call of Duty Zombies seem to have Funko figures now. So let's just say that LEGO decided to allow Funko to make Bionicle Pop Vinyl figures...sure, such a scenario may not be ultra-likely, but it's by no means impossible either. But if it were to happen...who would buy them? I'm sure many would, and I feel that it would be a good way to raise brand awareness and perhaps bring in an audience that previously did not exist. But those are just my thoughts...I'd like to hear yours now!
  16. Hi!! It has been a long time without activity here on this occasion I bring a version of Keetongu inspired by the movie Bionicle 3 reviewing some files, I found these pictures, like Krekka, I have made a version own Keetongu inspired by the movie version despite not receiving many changes to the set, this figure seeks to synthesize the best possible this concept, some details like the weapon still need to be added. I hope you like and enjoy this version as it as the other figures modified!!! Keetongu by vicent steffens (gerou 100), en Flickr
  17. Hi, guys! I am not sure if this would be a good topic, but I can say it, anyway: which (favorite) Bionicle character do you think would be worthy of being a Lantern from DC Comics? You see, in DC Comics, there is this emotional spectrum that has colors which represent emotions. This is all from Green Lantern. Each color can choose a character who expresses its emotion that the color matches, so the character becomes worthy of becoming a Lantern. The Lantern can use a magic rings that can create constructs made of colored energy based on the Lantern's emotion, can fly, survive space, and translate languages (For more information, read here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_ring_(DC_Comics)) ). There are nine types of Lanterns, and each have their own group, color, and emotion that they are worthy of, respectively: 1. Green Lantern Corps (green and willpower) - the main hero, Green Lantern, works there. More info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Lantern_Corps 2. Sinestro Corps (yellow and fear) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinestro_Corps 3. Orange Lantern Corps (orange and avarice/greed) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larfleeze 4. Red Lantern Corps (red and rage) -https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Lantern_Corps 5. Blue Lantern Corps (blue and hope) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Lantern_Corps 6. Indigo Tribe (indigo and compassion) - they use magic staffs instead of rings, but the staffs are the same as the rings - For more info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_Tribe 7. Star Sapphires (violet and love) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Sapphire_(comics)#Star_Sapphires 8. Black Lantern Corps (black and death) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lantern_Corps 9. White Lantern Corps (white and life) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Lantern_Corps This goes to the DC Comics character, Green Lantern, because he is worthy to use the ring for expressing willpower, so he can make green constructs based on his willpower. So, I would like to think that Bionicle characters would be worthy to using the rings because they expressed their emotions. We know that the characters have feelings while being bio-mechanical, so here's my list of worthy characters: 1. Green Lanterns - the Toa Mata/Nuva/Toa Masters/Uniters, Takanuva, Hahli 2. Sinestro Lanterns - the Makuta species and Turahk, the Piraka, the Toa Inika/Mahri 3. Orange Lanterns - Makuta Teridax, Makuta Icarax, Makuta Bitil, and the Piraka 4. Red Lanterns - the Makuta, Makuta Miserix, Kurahk, Tahu, Vezok, Tuma, and Metus 5. Blue Lanterns - Matoro, Takanuva 6. Indigo Tribe members - Gali, Onua, Takanuva, G1 Pohatu, Ekimu 7. Star Sapphires - I know that love is non-canon in Bionicle (perhaps only in 2001-2008), but I would go with Macku, Gali, Nokama, Hahli, and Kiina on this one. 8. Black Lanterns - the Makuta species, the Shadowed One, Nidhiki, Krekka, Carapar, Takadox, Eliminator, Skull Creatures, Umarak, people who got revived in the Red Star 9. White Lanterns - the Great Spirit Mata Nui, Toa Ignika, Matoro, the Toa Mata/Toa Nuva/Toa Masters/Toa Uniters, Takanuva. So, there. You see what I mean? What are your thoughts about characters in your minds, who are they, and what kinds of Lanterns are they worthy of and why? I mean, we experienced them having emotions while being bio-mechanical beings, so I think the Lantern idea would be interesting, as you can think about their feelings.
  18. Now I'm pretty sure this topic reared its head in these forums, possibly even several times, but the search function didn't toss anything out and I'm also pretty sure all of those threads are beyond the necro threshold. So this is pretty simple: where in the Bionicle universe(s) would you live? I included G2's Okoto as well. While it wouldn't be my personal choice, I do see it being a possible selection for some fans. It is similar to Mata-Nui, true, however Okotoan architecture is pretty unique when compared to things in G1 so I see reason for it to be a legitimate choice. There are several more named islands in the GSR, however the poll only allows for 17 options. Feel free to write up why you chose what you chose, since this is supposed to be a discussion after all. For me, Metru Nui is the obvious choice. I've said as much on two occasions in two separate topics recently, as Metru Nui always fascinated me. The idea of a massive, technologically advanced city which is rooted in natural elements regardless (Po-Metru is a literal desert in spite of being part of a metropolis, Ga-Metru is beautiful with its lakes and lagunas) has always captivated my imagination. It was my favorite setting across all of G1 as well, precisely because of all the potential it had. That said, I was a tad disappointed when some years later, after reading up on official lore, that it is actually pretty small and only has about a thousand Matoran living in it (canonically, though others have mentioned how in LoMN, more are shown). In my headcanon, Metru-Nui will always remain the inconceivably massive sprawling sci-fi metropolis with countless millions of Matoran working, living, playing and resting among its skyscrapers. So which location would be your preferred home in the Bionicle universe?
  19. Umarak the Destroyer is an ok set but he wasn't bulky enough for my liking. So I've made a few changes to him. They are as followed 1. Completely redesigned the torso so its much bulkier 2. Bulked up legs slightly 3. Removed claw gimmick so he can have poseable wrists. 4. Changed up the horns on the mask. I didn't like how Umarak's horns went away when he put on the Mask of Control so I combined them with the Mask of Control's horns. Umarak's horns are now gold. 5. Moved the jaw up so its not hanging down so far. With that out of the way here are pictures. View from all sides http://www.brickshel...destroyer_1.jpg http://www.brickshel...destroyer_2.jpg http://www.brickshel...destroyer_3.jpg Comparison with my Umarak the Hunter mod. (I've made some more changes to Umarak the Hunter since the topic I posted about him) http://www.brickshel...destroyer_5.jpg Version with the original horns the set had in case someone wanted to see him like that http://www.brickshel...destroyer_6.jpg Lastly two poses. One of him screaming from his transformation. The other holding the trans orange and gunmetal version of his mask http://www.brickshel...destroyer_4.jpg http://www.brickshel...destroyer_7.jpg Comments and criticism appreciated.
  20. Seeing as JTO Makuta was a combiner model. I thought I'd take a crack at making a Makuta that used soley pieces from the purple sets. The sets used in this combiner are Protector of Earth Onua Master of Earth Skull Basher Terak Creature of Earth Onua Uniter of Earth Quake Beast Mask of Control from Umarak the Hunter. With that out of the way here are the pictures http://www.brickshel...or_makuta_1.jpg http://www.brickshel...or_makuta_2.jpg http://www.brickshel...or_makuta_3.jpg http://www.brickshel...or_makuta_4.jpg http://www.brickshel...or_makuta_5.jpg http://www.brickshel...or_makuta_6.jpg Comments and criticism appreciated

  23. Hello everyone, My local high school is hosting an arts commission festival titled "Films in Five" where you had to create a video that runs 5 minutes or less. My entry for the event is a short adventure skit involving my favorite Toa of Ice, Kopaka. It took about 4 months to create (On and off), and it just got accepted into the festival and will be shown there on October 1st! I'm so excited for other people to see it, especially on the big screen! I wanted to share it with everyone on BZPower too. I hope you enjoy the film, and tell me what you think of it below!
  24. Crack! Lightning split the air and thunder rolled over their craft. Yet the pair of Makuta continued to weather the storm, for there was no room for either of them in the hold, among their meager provisions. They were roughly two and a half hours at sea, now, and the storm had been persisting since before they had left. Normally, one would not shove off in such a bad storm, but circumstances had been... extenuating. These two Makuta were escapees from the fateful coup staged by Teridax. Opposed by nature to the vile rule of their former brother-in-arms, the pair had, like many others, attempted to escape to a far-off locale, in hopes of living out the rest of their existence incognito. Regarding those two Makuta: One lay prostrate upon the deck, and the other was hunched over him. The feature most immediately noticeable to a passive onlooker was that, from the former of the beings described, there was rapidly escaping that pale, green mist known as antidermis. The source of this emission was a massive injury on the backside of the being's pitch-black armor casing. Various cloths and lengths of rope had been employed in the effort of stemming the life-giving substance's escape, but it continued to flow in spite of them, and in spite of the cannonball-like midak ball that still remained lodged in the wound, without which obstacle the victim would, ironically, have far earlier died. A more astute observer would notice a similar stream of gas emanating from the destroyed right half of the healthier Makuta's Kanohi. A portion of the gas escaping from both injuries was dissolving into the rain that streamed down that unfortunate pair of bodies, leaving a trail of a ghastly green tint in the water that flowed off the sides of the boat. Struck by the hopelessness of his situation, the dying Makuta reached his shaking hands up to his face, and weakly removed his own, undamaged Kanohi, offering it to his companion in the hopes that the latter could avoid a similar fate. With some understandable hesitation, the hunched one slowly took the pristine mask. Lifting it to his face, he stared into its empty, soulless eyes. And through them he saw those of his comrade, which were beginning to take on a similar vacancy. As he continued to stare, heartbroken, more gas began to weakly seep from his friend's bare face. The Makuta, unwilling to turn down the apparent dying wish of his comrade, removed his ruined mask and replaced it with the dripping, rain-streaked Kanohi by which he had known his friend for centuries. If any attempt had been made to exchange words in this scene, they had gone unheard over the storm. Meanwhile, the boat that now carried a single, unfortunate soul, came into sight of Keno Island's beach. ------- What a crock. The soft sound of his footfalls echoed from the steep bank which marked the end of the beach. Having long since shifted his form into that of a lowly Matoran, the disguised Makuta was in search of whatever type of civilization sparsely inhabited this island. He was but several hours into his circumnavigation of the island's coast, when he gained view of a small settlement. It was another hour of trudging through the sand (Matoran, he found, have egregiously short and stubby legs) before he approached the village-- a mere dot on the surface of the island, sprawling maybe two dozen shacks and shanties along the waterfront, with a single, properly-constructed building up off of the beach; probably a meeting hall or some other sort of gathering place. As he neared, the unfortunate survivor increasingly sensed something amiss. Even a village this small should have people out and about in the middle of the day, and yet, in the hour that he had spent walking towards it, he had seen not a soul. No Matoran on fishing boats in the water, not a man going between the buildings for his tasks. Only ghosts strolled down the dirt path that divided the town. Entering the midst of the buildings, he began to investigate the shacks. Though small, and certainly under-equipped for a being of his stature, they had a certain pleasant, homey quality, which he recognized as being characteristic of the constructions of simple beings like Matoran. The fortresses and outposts of the Brotherhood, though he recalled them fondly, were far from comfortable. He pushed through the hanging mesh of palm leaves that served as a door to one building, and, his keen eyes failing to perceive any living beings within, he began to rummage around. Though a single room, another mesh of leaves separated it into two halves. In one, it seemed, the inhabitants of the shack slept, while the other contained a series of wooden bowls, utensils for cooking and eating, and most impressively, a rudimentary stove. The Makuta looked upon it with the unwittingly self-superior wonderment of a man witnessing the complex tunnels of an ant colony. Yet, he thought, I cannot locate the residents of this abode. Worried for the well-being of his newfound ants, he ventured forth from the shack he had been investigating. He knew exactly where to search next: The meeting hall. That would certainly be where Matoran would go in a crisis. He approached the building - monumental in comparison to those ones which dotted the beach - and parted the doors. And he stopped, for he was immediately assaulted by the hideous stench of death. Sadness welled up in his heart. Oh, no, he said to himself in worriment. They've all died, haven't they? It took only a cursory search to confirm his suspicions. Several bodies littered the foyer, where he had entered, but in the very next room was piled at least three quarters of the village's population. Their corpses were in some cases hideously mutilated, and he thought it best to begin his examination with one of those. It did not take long to determine the cause-- a peculiar, viral infection, the key characteristic of which was its tendency to cause the infected to develop manipulative, secretive, and usually paranoid personalities, and experience nightly episodes of psychosis, often with a focus on spreading the malady to others. The infection took hold of its victim immediately, and was extremely difficult to detect 90% of the time, when the victim would act almost completely normally. In one week's time, it would begin to replicate so rapidly that the host's cells would start to burst, causing various other symptoms until death. Under normal circumstances, it would be simple to synthesize a cure. However, with the Brotherhood in chaos, that would prove impossible, and this Makuta's knowledge of local flora was unfortunately nonexistent. Nor, it seemed, were the Matoran natives able to develop a true cure on their own-- as evidenced by the pile of bodies in front of him. In such circumstances, the only thing to do was to slaughter patients before they could infect anyone else. And, on that note, the sound of ragged breathing, and stirring as if from sleep, seemed to indicate that the Makuta had judged one such 'body' rather prematurely. He turned, to witness the apparent sole survivor of this incident rising from the floor. His mannerisms clearly indicated that he was in the later stages of the infection. The end was near for him, anyway. "Oh..." Breathed the visitor, still in the guise of a Matoran. "You poor wretch." The Makuta on Keno Island A deadly infection has taken root in the population of Keno Island, and it's making use of its victims to guarantee its spread. Led by the sole Turaga of the island, the healthy residents of various villages have come together to one location. But little do they know that the infection has already claimed one of their own. Meanwhile, a Makuta turned political refugee seeks to escape the notice of the Teridax-led Brotherhood of Makuta. But it would seem that they have already turned their search upon this small island, for one of their own agents also walks among the Matoran. The Village - Wins by eliminating the Infected, and any Makuta that are revealed Matoran x 17 - Simple villagers, these roles vote during the day, and have no actions to perform at night. Turaga - The leader of the Matoran, this role's votes count for double during the day. Doctor - Well-versed in the medicinal plants native to the island, this role can prevent either death or infection for one individual each night-- including itself. May not protect against both at once, however, if the Detective is targeted with either form of protection, they will gain the benefits of both. The Doctor's concoction to prevent infection is fatal to the infected. Detective - This resourceful Matoran can detect signs that one might not be as they seem. Investigates someone during the night, and finds whether they are village-aligned or not. No more, no less. The Infected - Wins by infecting the majority of the remaining players, or by keeping Patient Zero alive through day 7 Patient Zero - The first infected in this village. Picks two people to infect before other roles go out. Votes with all Infected on who to convert during the night. If allowed to live for 7 days, dies in a gruesome spectacle in which all remaining Villagers are infected. Infected x2 - Chosen by Patient Zero before the start of the game. Vote with him on who to infect during the night. The Makuta - Both are immune to the infection, and will survive the first attempt to lynch them. Must not reveal roles to Village. Visitor - Kills someone every night. Wins by eliminating the Infection while remaining undetected by the Agent, or by eliminating the Agent as well as the Infection. Loses if all Villagers are eliminated or infected. Agent - Can kill once per game. Wins by seeing Visitor eliminated. Rules: 0. Roles act as described during the night. During the day, everyone votes on who to lynch. Null votes are allowed, however, abstaining is not. One person will be lynched, and ties will be broken by the Turaga. If the Turaga's vote has already been cast for one of the tied candidates, that one will be immediately lynched, otherwise the Turaga will give their decision via PM. Null cannot win ties. Ties will not be announced, nor will vote totals. 1. A Makuta is considered 'revealed' only by being unsuccessfully lynched (which reveals them to all), or by revealing their role to a Villager (which reveals only to that individual). If someone claims to know a Makuta, whether it be true or false, or by that player's admission to being one or no, that player is not revealed to all as a Makuta. 2. Villagers are to play to their role, which means attempting to lynch a Makuta of which they become aware (however, they may put this off until the Infected are dealt with, or what have you). They may claim that someone is a Makuta to the rest of the village, however, that Makuta is not revealed, and other players are not required to lynch them at any point, though they certainly may. 3. Everyone must do everything in their power (and within the rules) to win, until they have died or the game has concluded. 4. The dead must not interfere with the game. 5. Use of screenshots in any scenario, as well as quoting from your role PM to prove your role, are forbidden. Relevant out-of-game discussion is permitted*, and may be quoted (or have quotes faked) from, but since I can't view those conversations, honor rule is in play, particularly regarding rule #2; Makuta should not out themselves to a Villager, looking for an alliance! 6. Infection conversions occur before any deaths in a scene. So, if there's one Infected and they die, their conversion for that night will occur before their death, and thus still take effect. *7. During the night, Infected may only converse with each other, and everyone else must be isolated-- the idea is that everyone retreats to their own meeting/house during the night. Player list 1.
