  1. Hey guys. Ive been collecting the Bionicle comics for years from different countries regions and variants. Today i have finally completed the only documented complete US set of comics! If you have any questions please let me know. Below are all the US Bionicle comics pictured. Every Issue, variant, promotional, exclusive is included. Apologies for the main photo being blurry it was insanely difficult trying to get everything in one picture lined up like that.
  2. So we are now on the third wave of Collectible Minifigures featuring DC characters, only this time it's not branded as coming from The LEGO Batman movie. I'm personally a bigger fan of the generic CMFs so the increase in licensed themes isn't always to my tastes, but I'm a sucker for good figs so I wanted to collect some. Granted, I haven't had the most luck so far with these... LEGO Online order gave me two Green Lanterns and Joker (the latter who I did not want.) When I visited the LEGO Store, I mistook Mr. Miracle for Cyborg (stupid chain) and ended up getting two of him. I also traded with another AFOL who claimed he was handing me a Bumblebee, but he mis-felt the bag and it was actually Bat Mite (who I also don't care for). So I've had a pretty high miss rate on these so far; it doesn't help that the new stand element and jumper plates just add to the confusion while feeling. But I did open a few of them that I wanted so here's a little mini review More Photos on Instagram First off, the new stand elements are pretty great. They do a good job at proving a new angle for fig displays, and they can connect together to form a fun chain or circle eight together to make a full octagon. Better yet, most figs come with two of them! I say most... but not those with capes. For whatever reason, the figs with capes have their parts double bagged, and the double bags do away with spare parts, so no extra stand element. I dunno if this applies to all batches, but so far it was that way for the caped figs I opened. Modestly disappointing. Stargirl: Very nice fig with lots of great printed details. The end of her staff is also a new sparkly trans orange element, one of the few new molds in this series. (Which kinda sucks, a price increase but few new molds... although I'm sure licensing costs contribute.) I've read some arguments that the hair piece is not fitting for the character. I guess it kind of works, but honestly it's not my favorite mold in general and I think it's overused. When feeling for her, she's the only one with a 4L bar. Metamorpho: I like the distinct coloring they've given to his various limbs made of different elements; I'm particularly a fan of the trans clear leg. The magenta fist is a cool element, and also the one to feel for, although it's a bit of an unusual shape to recognize. Green Lantern: Honestly, I'm not familiar with the Simon Baz version (I've been told he's missing his revolver), but another Green Lantern variant isn't so bad. The printed green ring tile attaches well to the hand clip piece, which is a better representation of the rings than with previous figures where they just held the tile flat. (Plus, you get two of em!) The new lantern element isn't bad either, with a few useful connection points. The big lantern, the 1x1 round tile, or the hand clip pieces are the ones to feel for... unfortunately SInestro has those exact same pieces too, and the only difference between the two is that Sinestro has the extra hair piece, making it challenging to tell them apart. Aquaman: This is apparently true to one of the comic versions of Aquaman, so props there. I particularly like the new mold they created for his hook hand, and a new fish in pale green's not so bad. (Although the hairpiece is new to me, apparently it was used on the Aquaman fig from the sets last year... whoops.) The fish is the piece to feel for, although the hair piece could get confused for Wonder Woman's or Huntress's. Mr. Miracle: Honestly I don't know anything about this character, but when I showed my co-workers the lineup of the series, they were all like "Mr. Miracle is in there? Awesome." He comes with lots of fancy printing and a cape... which means his parts are double bagged and you get no extra fig stand thing. He comes with a long chain and handcuffs (okay, he came with two handcuffs but not two stand elements... boo). Now, getting the chain wrapped around him like in the images is a bit challenging, but doable. When feeling, the chain is the piece to feel for, but since he has the cape he'll also have the bag within a bag, so that kinda helps narrow him down. (As I mentioned earlier, I mistook him for Cyborg, who also has a shorter chain but presumably no secondary bag.) Huntress: Honestly, of the figs I've gotten so far, she's my favorite. I really like the detailing with the cape, utility belt, and printing. Hair mold is a reuse but new in black. She also has the cape problem so no extra pieces, so feel for the crossbow in the bag within the bag. Yeah, not the easiest to figure out, and she's among the rarer ones too. Cheetah: I guess I'm not super big into the old comics, because I'm used to the CHeetah from the animated shows and now this version. She has a great cat costume with excellent cheetah patterns printed on her torso, legs, arms, tail, and hat. The bag is just a recolor, but the dollar sign print on it will make it useful for some displays. (Personally, I've never been a fan of this cumbersome bag piece, but whatevs.) I guess technically the hat with cat ears is a new piece, although it's very reminiscent of other CMF costume helmets. IMO Cheetah could easily pass off as a generic costume character, but I guess this works for her comic book variant too. The piece to feel for is probably that bulky bag element, but the tail is also a unique if tricky to identify piece. And maybe the hat if you can figure out the rounded ears. I'm still on the hunt for Bumblebee and Jay Gordon, and maybe on Batman and Cyborg. So far most stores in my area don't have this figs yet; they're still trying to sell off their S19 and Disney S2 figs. At the Lego store, I know I felt through nearly a whole box and didn't once come across Batman or Bumblebee, so they might be tricky ones to figure out. I don't want to collect the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, or Sinestro; I also don't want Joker or Bat Mite but I already have copies of them, so I'll keep their bags unopened for possible trades in the future. Overall, this is a good wave of figs but I'm still not motivated to get them all, so I guess I get to save a little bit of money, heh.
  3. I am looking to buy physical copies of the Hero Factory comics, as eBay searches only bring up 5, 6, and 7. As a result, I am much more interested in getting copies of 1-4, but would not be opposed to a bundle of all the comics. Please let me know if you have copies that you would be willing to sell. Open to negotiation, but please stay reasonable. Most comic book database sites have these books listed at or only slightly above MSRP. Thank you!
  4. [This review is spoiler free] An unpopular opinion (I have many of those), but I liked Superman v. Batman: Dawn of Justice, and the longer cut of the film makes it one of my favorite films. With it's release, many more DC Comic movies were set for release. One of these was a welcome surprise, Aquaman, and i have been waiting to see this movie for a couple of years now. Despite his ridicule across the past half-century, I always thought Aquaman was cool, and after reading Geoff John's take on the character that he did early in the New 52 era of DC Comics, Aquaman became one of my favorite superheroes. I have a fridge magnet and two shirts, and have been wanting figures of some characters. People may ask why, nay, they always do, and I explain Aquaman's base plot-points as laid out by Geoff Johns: Arthur Curry is not only the heir to the Throne of Atlantis, he is also an unwelcome hybrid is an outcast between two worlds, and he runs from the world as a result. A time comes however when he must conquer his self-doubts and take up responsibility, and stops his half-brother from totally destroying the surface world and take up the Throne of Atlantis to create world peace. After that he has to watch over a people that doubt his place in power and conspire his downfall and represent his people in face of a surface world that holds him responsible for the actions of his people and predecessor. Also, the ocean is quite deep and vast, so supernatural forces often come to the forefront. The 2018 movie is largely inspired by the the Geoff John's run on Aquaman, but also takes inspiration from many points from throughout the character's long history as a comic book character. And i say inspired because it does not follow the comics point-per-point, and I largely applaud the vision seen in this movie as it takes many liberties, and some of those decisions I found myself preferring over the source material. Others, i think the source material did better. Story-wise, the movie is a little all over the place, something that would have been helped out in a clear Lord of the Rings-style intro exposition rather than telling such lore details in passing. A moment was given to explain everything but it was rather rushed. And the plot is very reliant on this world's history of the Empire of Atlantis and the varying kingdoms it split into (most of the existing remnants are mutants), so making it more clear would have been helpful. Also brief showing of character names a la Burn Notice would have been good. Another point to gripe about is West Sahara. The transition for the first royal duel and the events there and the arrival to West Sahara have quite the jarring difference in tone. You got to ease into the tone difference so ti is not natural, you don't go from being edge-of-the-seat action, to making jokes that felt more befitting of a romantic comedy. Redoing West Sahara prior to the ruins would have been preferred. Likewise, the action scenes in Siciliy lasted too long, took away from the overall plot. But to what i loved, were the elements of high sci-fantasy and the visuals. Sweet Jesus, the scale of the visuals were ambitious, the scope of the lights of Atlantis made you feel small, and the ending large-scale battle felt like an underwater version of Warhammer 40k. Another note are the sound effects, you actually feel as if they were filmed underwater, as both the vision fitted this and it sounded like they spoke underwater. And all the lore? I was able to pick up on it along the way, and i feel like we were only teased at the full scope of the underwater realms and the stuff related to them. Of all the DC Comics movies made with this universe, this movie felt like it carried more franchise potential then the main Superman entries. So, is this a perfect movie? No, but i loved this movie and I can look past the small mistakes. I implore everyone to go give this movie a shot and see more to Aquaman than just the orange dude that talks to fish. i was purposefully vague here because everything i liked is important to the story and i don't want any spoilers.
  5. in the improvment that ccbs has had in the time it has had, what characters would be great to see using this system? personally i would love to see Ultron, Spawn, Predator, WarMachine, Cyborg (DC) Deathstroke and Sauron and some monsters like werewolves and vampires but very mature. Though honestly i would just love to see more mature sets using ccbs, i am 23 and love the design ccbs is going with since bionicle g2 and starwars characters. but what ideas do you have? p.s i know mature sets arnt coming any time soon
  6. Ever wonder what would happen if all the Batmans in cinema attempted to form a league? It would probably go something like this: Note: I had nothing to do with the creation of this video. I just thought it was funny and worth posting in a blog entry.
  7. And here we have DC's third movie in it's connected universe. While I did think it was better than Batman vs. Superman, I do think it had some problems. Here are some of the pros and cons of Suicide Squad IMO. Warning, in the following I will talk about some spoilers about the movie, which is why its in spoiler tags. Read at your own risk.
  8. So, a while back, my cousin, Meyres the Anchorman, posted a topic asking what you'd like to see if LEGO ever did a Marvel-based series of Collectible Minifigures, similar to the Simpsons or LEGO Movie ones. Well, this evening, he and I discussed what we might like to see in a DC version of the same. However, after a few minutes of discussion, we deduced that it would be beneficial to have a New 52 series and a pre-52/Silver Age series, to give collectors and fans a lot of variety. Together, we devised 2 or 3 complete series from both timelines for your consideration. After you've read our thoughts, feel free to add to it and let us know what characters/versions you'd like to see in ABS form. Series 1: New 52--We figured we'd go with this one first to give current fans a set of familiar figures that would be immediately recognized and coveted Green Arrow--He's one of my favorite DC heroes, so of course I picked him. Plus, it'd be cool to see him standing next to his Pre-52 version Agent 37/Grayson--Meyres' pick for a cool New 52 character, and because he likes the Grayson character Black Hand--I figured we need another Lantern character that isn't Hal Jordan Jimmy Olsen--who said they all had to be heroes or villains? Supporting characters are just as important. Captain Cold--The only difference here is that I'd like to see an iteration closer to his CW version, because he's easily my favorite character in Legends of Tomorrow Ares--According to my cousin, he counts as a Wonder Woman villain. So, yeah, he would compliment.... God of War Wonder Woman--it's nice to have different versions of a character we've already seen in sets. Reverse Flash Cisco "Vibe" Ramone--Like Captain Cold, I'd want to see the CW version, or something close to it Kyle Rainer--because he's another significant Lantern character Red Hood--would compliment the Agent 37 character as another member of the Bat Family, as well as adding another villain Cyborg Superman--would be cool to see in plastic form Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer--would compliment the Green Arrow character Booster Gold--Because why not? CW Flash--Because the outfits between timelines are very pretty similar for Barry Allen, and the CW version would give us a dark red and gold Flash instead of normal red and bright yellow. Orion--Another of Meyres' picks that I know little about Series 2: Pre-52--The second series would encompass the earlier versions of the characters to give the die-hard fans a nice throwback to days long past Jay Garrick/Flash--This would give us a distinct contrast to the Barry Allen Flash, whose outfits are fairly similar across his iterations. This would give us more variety Red Robin--another iteration of Robin that hasn't appeared in any sets Bronze Age Green Arrow--As I said before, it would be cool to see the contrast between his classic and modern outfits Hush--appeared in the Batman 3 game, but would be nice to see in plastic Black Canary--enough said Alan Scott Green Lantern--would really give it some variety 90's Superboy--I agree with Meyres that this one would be a nice addition Silver Age Braniac--Would be an interesting take on the character. The Question--Because that's why. Silver Age Red Tornado--Not the coolest one in my opinion, but if he was good enough to make it into B3: Beyond Gotham, then this would be fine Talia Al'Ghul--Because another Batman character should show up, and we need more female characters Raven--A well-known member of the Teen Titans, and would give us a purple hood piece Bizarra--The Bizarro version of Wonder Woman would also be a nice addition to the lineup Zatanna--we both agreed that one magical young woman wasn't enough, and Zatanna was a significant JLA character and would make a great addition to the character lineup Deadman--Dunno who he is, but Meyres seems to think he'd be good. Miss Martian--Appeared in B3: Beyond Gotham, and I think she'd be a good compliment to Martian Manhunter, who we've already got two iterations of.So, there you have our idea for a potential Collectible Minfigures line of DC characters. What are your thoughts? EDIT: Whoops, almost forgot to add the third series we thought of. Introducing.... Series 3: Batman--You wondered at our lack of mention of Batman in the other two lineups, right? Well, we found a solution for that.... First Appearance Batman--A different version of that Bat than we're used to, his cape more closely resembled wings, and this one regularly used guns and wasn't above killing 60's Batman George Clooney Batman '89 Batman DCAU Batman Arctic Batman Sensor Suit Batman Power Suit Batman Dark Knight Batman LEGO Movie Batman Brave and the Bold Batman Blue Batman Darkest Night Batman (Lantern suit) Electricity Suit Batman Batzarro BatfleckEnjoy.

  10. Baltimore Comic Con is coming this weekend, and I am getting more and more pumped with anticipation with each day! On Friday I'll be hanging out with 55555, and on Saturday I'll be going solo unless a friend actually replies to my texts. There are plenty of exciting panels happening, so it's just a matter of if I can get in to see the awesome comic creators talk. So I guess it's a matter of getting in line in time. There's a talk about the 90s X-Men series New Mutants, one about comics as myths and working mythology into your story, Mark Waid talking about writing great characters, a spotlight on Waid and Charles Soule, looking at the science behind superheroes and their powers, and more! I also hope to get a handful of comics autographed by some favorite creators, like Mark Waid, Scott Snyder, and Charles Soule: That's five issues by Charles Soule, two by Greg Pak, two by Scott Snyder, two by Mark Waid including my Kingdom Come graphic novel, and a few others by some more cool comic creators. And eventually I'll get some of these signed works of art framed. I'm hoping to get some cool works of art in Artists Alley too. So we'll see what happens by the end of the weekend. And I'll be back in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. A beautiful part of the city! If you're going too, drop me a message! -CF
  11. You know what's great about having a friend who is extremely adept at making trades and scouring ebay for deals? He knows just how to grab something rad online. A few days later and bam!--Toa Lhikan Hordika puts in my hands the Collector, one of San Diego Comic Con's exclusive LEGO minifigs last year! (A trade, of course.) He looks good with the team, and by team I'm including the proper Nova, of course. And Drax has his signature energy axe. (A second thanks goes to xccj for grabbing me Rocket in his Ravagers outfit.) What is really cool about the Collector is the backing of the case unfolds to show a large image of him, scowling (the other side of his minifig head). Not that any sane LEGO collector would display this unless there was a safe way to do so, but it's a pretty neat bonus. But the exclusives don't stop there! I also have another benefactor: my manager who used to work at GameStop and snagged all kinds of extras for the LEGO video games. So now I have the exclusive Elrond figure and, better yet, Lex Luthor in power armor and, better yet, Plastic Man! Certainly exciting additions to my collection. What's next? Making a display case for all of these (and my other exclusives)! -CF
  12. So, it's recently been announced that DC Comics is introducing a new series aimed at young girls, and that Lego will be heavily involved with the merchandise. While I think it's reasonable to expect some minidoll sets out of this, I'm wondering if there's anything else in the works. What particularly caught my eye in the announcement was the mention of poseable, free-standing action figures to be produced in addition to more traditional "dolls." The use of the term "action figure" in relation to a toy for girls is pretty much unheard of, so I'm wondering if Lego is going to be involved with this. Their recent forays into more humanoid CCBS builds- particularly Star Wars- make me think that they are more capable than ever before of pulling off something like that. ... thoughts?

    First!

You know when you're working on something cool hoping it never gets usurped by official things? Well, I just want to go on record as having made Green Arrow, Cyborg, Supergirl, Captain Cold, and Hawkman minifigs. Because. Hehe. Seriously though, I'm becoming obsessed with making my own figs from DC and Marvel comics, and have a list of 20 more I want to make. Good guys, bad guys, known or obscure. And as soon as I figure out water-slide decals, they'll look even cooler. -CF
  14. Marvel: No secret identities!* DC: This small piece of fabric covering their eyes protects their identity! Marvel: Legacy characters! DC: Maybe some legacy characters. Marvel: New tone in character, new costume! DC: The same costume for 50+ years. Accurate? Or am I being too harsh on DC? Have any more? -CF *To an extent
  15. Welcome to Young Justice: Aftermath. This roleplay is set in the Earth-16 universe featured in the DC TV series Young Justice. The year is 2026.It has been ten years since the Reach were forced off this planet by its heroes, and five since the Light has resurfaced. They are more dangerous than they have ever been, with a Parademon army. After the Reach had been defeated, Lex Luthor started selling a variant Reach soft drink that was designed to make the inhabitants of Earth docile. This drink, unlike the original, made metagenes activate more frequently and even gave people without them metagenes. It didn't take long for the Justice League to find out about it, and he was quickly stopped, but the damage was done. LexCorp, being as large as it is, was hardly shaken by the incident and the case against Lex himself has been tied up in the courts for years.Five years, ago the Warworld arrived in the solar system carrying two original members of the Light; Savage and Klarion. With them was a new member; Darkseid. The Brain, Lex Luthor, Ra's al Ghul and Queen Bee were brought to the Warworld, and the reformed Light plotted. Not long after that, Sportsmaster realized that the best way to train new villains was to start young, and have the trainees be willing. It had worked, to an extent, with his daughters, after all. He started the Unjust League to do this. This organization trained young villains, and quickly became a large criminal group. But, during this time, the Team and the League also grew in number, making all three organizations quite large.Next, Cadmus was bought by the government as a defense against metahumans. All genomorphs were disposed off, and the organization is neither hostile nor friendly to the Light, Unjust League, the Team or the Justice League. Factions The Justice League: The most famous heroes there are. This organization is one of the largest there is, and is based in their satellite, the Watchtower. It is led by Black Canary, and most of the original Team is a member. The minimum is age is 18.The Team: The young counterpart to the Justice League, the Team's age lets them pass unnoticed by many and act as a stealth team. They are covert ops, and not many people know about them. They operate out of the Watchtower in conjunction with the League. They are watched over by Aqualad and Nightwing, two founding members. The three most prominent heroes are the Tornado Twins, children of the Flash, and Tabby Cat, child of Chesire and Red Arrow, all three of whom are ten.The Unjust League: In some ways, both a counterpart to the League and the Team. They are both young, and famous. They were founded and are trained by Sportsmaster. They have several bases scattered across the planet, but their main base is in the remains of Mount Justice. The Light: A large organization of evil villains, who only allow season operatives into their ranks. The actual members of the Light are the members of the leading council; Vandal Savage, Ra's al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Darksied, The Brain, and Klarion. Everyone else is merely a pawn. The 'lead pawn' is Deathstroke. Gordon G. Godfrey is the voice of persuasion for the Light, and is secretly a New God.Cadmus: Soon after the Reach was defeated, the US government, following suit from all others, bought up several genetic research firms, including Cadmus, and bundled them together as Cadmus. This was as protection against any sort of metahuman uprising. Gone are the genomorphs of old, and here to stay are clones and specially adapted weapons to each hero and villain. They are neutral in this war. For player-made factions, see post #2. Important Locations Earth: The biggest hot spot for activity of metahuman nature, Earth is an incredibly fragmented planet on the political spectrum. All five of the major factions in the metahuman war are primarily based here. There is a network of zeta-beam (teleportation) blocking technology orbiting over earth, preventing teleportation to and from Earth. The Watchtower is under this network, allowing the Justice League and the Team to travel to set locations placed in strategic locations on Earth. The International Space Station orbits higher than the network, and there is a Zeta Tube there that leads to the Olympus Mons colony on Mars.-The Watchtower: This is not exactly a location on Earth but rather a satellite orbiting the planet. It looks like a large tower atop a meteor and is the base of operations for both the Justice League and the Team, both of whom operate in conjunction.-The Cadmus Facility: The base of the Cadmus Military Corporation, this facility is located underground in Washington DC and is the US government's response to the growing metahuman situation. They employ their own metahumans, and are finding ways to defeat every public villain and hero.-Unjust Cave: This is a base for The Unjust League, located right underneath where Mount Justice could have been found before it was destroyed by the Light, in Happy Harbor, Rhode Island. Sportsmaster uses it as a base for his team because of his sense of humor and the fact that no one would look there.-Atlantis: This is an underwater kingdom populated by humans adapted to breathing and living underwater. The country is ruled by their king, known on the surface as Aquaman. Atlantis joined the UN approximately five years ago.-The UN Headquarters: This is where the General Assembly of the UN is located, and is used by the Team and the League to contact the governments of the world. Currently, the relations between the League and the UN are going well. It can be found in Manhattan, New York.-STAR Labs: STAR Labs is a private organization devoted to advanced technology and superpowers. They, unlike Cadmus, are trusted by the League. STAR Labs is the go to place if someone on the team doesn't recognize a piece of technology. They have many locations across the US.Mars: This is world is a peaceful one, seeing as how it only has two governments: The Co-Nation Colony and the Martian Government. The Martian government is a monarchy, with the Red Martians on top, Green in the middle and White on the bottom. Martians have a wide variety of powers at their disposal, but Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian are the most skilled and powerful.-Olympus Mons: This is the Co-Nation Colony founded by the UN and is both the only human colony on Mars and the only colony on the surface. A large dome covers the entire dormant volcano, and inside are buildings. The Justice League and Team have bases here.-N'Herzz G'Alm: The capital city of the Martians, this city is underground. The Red Martian Royal Family G'Alm have their palace here. The city is has three main layers: The high class Red Martians on the bottom, as that is closest to the core and warmest, the middle class Green Martian section in the middle and the White Martian slums on top. The entrance to the city is near Olympus Mons. The Unjust League has a base in the White Martian sector.Warworld: A giant artificial world that is more of a huge planet-city. The entire inside of the planet is just mechanics and city spots, and the outside is covered in rockets and weaponry systems. This is the base of the Light and sits between Saturn and Uranus. How to Join Simply fill out the form below, post it in the discussion topic and wait for a staffer to approve it.There is a four character maximum, with the qualification that no more than two characters may be a member of each faction (per player, naturally). Choose how to spend your characters wisely. Characters may be retired to make way for new ones, but you will need to wait a week between retirement and new character submission.Note that while you can directly join the Justice League or the Light, they have more rigorous screening than the other factions so its very unlikely you'll be able to sneak a double agent in there. PM a staffer if you want to try, but you'll probably be shot down unless you have a really good story to tell.Species not from Earth are allowed, provided they have been introduced in some form of DC media prior, as are the more unusual native species like Atlanteans, Amazons and homo magi. Feel free to get creative with the profiles. This is a superhero RPG, after all.Alias: (your superhero/supervillain name. 17. I have a handful of favorite comic book artists: Chris Bachalo, Stuart Immonen (those All-New X-Men covers, am I right?), Dave McKean, and recently Jae Lee in Batman/Superman (apologies to Jack Kirby, though I'll soon read some FF comics drawn by him), but none of them have drawn my #1 favorite cover ever. See, now and then a comic might get published with a blank variant cover made from hard stock paper, the purpose being for commissions, presumably from a well-known comic artist visiting a convention (or your 2-year-old who likes Batman). I took a slightly less orthodox approach and handed my comic over to a friend. Don't take this notion lightly. This was a paid commission (in various terms), but it was worth every penny. And, while everything comes with a price, I'm sure she'll be up for earning a bit of cash for commissions if you just drop her a PM. Without further ado, this is the lovely Lady Kopaka's fantastic, wonderful, too-good-for-words-like-those-raptors drawing of Batman and Superman on Batman/Superman #1, N52, published in June. I especially like how the capes flow with their length. And the backgrounds for each character. And the attention to detail, like Clark's t-shirt instead of his suit since that's what he has in this issue. Now I just gotta figure out how to frame this! -CF (Seriously though, send her a PM and see if she has the time for commissions. She likes making money off of her talent.)
  18. Time to post another recent MOC. My first ever DC MOC. I wasn't satisfied of the Joker's random green-white-orange-gunmetal-purple-neon green color scheme so I decided to revamp him, making him only purple and green (with some black, which I tried to avoid at best) and keeping white as his skin. I gave him a more classic gun and a scythe because I thought it'd look good with him.Front viewSide viewBack view (kinda hollow, I know)C&C welcomed.

  21. While these aren't Hero Factory sets persay, they use the same building system and pieces that HF has used since 2.0. As such I think this is a fitting place to post a topic for discussion about them. Here's a gallery consisting of the officially released pictures of the boxart (as of now). Confirmed sets include: Batman - $14.99The Joker - $14.99Green Lantern - $14.99Captain America - $14.99Hulk - $14.99Iron Man - $14.99 The DC Universe sets are the only ones that have had their Box Art officially released, however the Marvel sets (bar Captain America) were show at Comic-Con earlier this year. Those can also be found in the gallery above. My opinions on these are that they are best for their pieces (Purple and Mata Green cladding? Yes please), but as far the actual sets go, they're somewhat lacking. Except Iron Man, because he actually looks like he belongs seeing as he's in robotic armor. Discuss. -Mesonak
