IC(BK): The Dark Knight awaited her armor's completion."Ma'am, it's done now.""Good...Wait...this is too light to be my armor. I don't need my mask to move it.""Erm...well, your armor was damaged beyond repair. Big sonic resonances tend to do that. So, we made a new set out of Protosteel. Powerful and light. Very Expensive...speaking of which...that'll be 1,000,000 Widgets.""WHAT!?" Larger bits of crystal formed on her fists and knees."One Million Widgets. Take it or leav-" A single punch knocked the smithy halfway across the room. Crystal was lodged in his mask."Now, thou shalt learn the true power of...the Black Knight." A lightning crash would have been perfect here, but it was a perfect, beautiful night. Moon out and everything. Of course, the Smithy chose a horrible night to be cursed by a witch. He didn't survive the night."Now,I require a weapon." She grabbed an elegant blade off of the wall, wielded it for a little, testing it out, then grabbed a second blade, a Falchion."Perfect." She smiled from behind her helmet, and left the smithy, bleeding to 150% death. OOC: Smithy shop open for investigations.

OOC: Woopah! Money all around.. Just, do you keep count of your widgets in your profile or spend them like most? FYI: if my character has something, it's in there profile. If it's not, something is seriously wrong. :PIC: IshiIshi smirked as the toa of fire sauntered away with his merry band."We'll see who has the last laugh, firre-spitter."Turning back to the bar he watched as the front lamps were lit by his young niece's husband. Having such a large family was helpful, especially in times like the one which just took place. Walking in, he surveyed the damage to his cousin's bar -- of course the place wasn't his exactly, but being the first child in the Ishi clan gave him total say and privilege -- with a frown. This little "romp" of his was going to cost him more than money and a few burials, it would cost a heavy ear-full from the family council. Turning towards Kiox, Ishi grinned and said; "Alright Sea Rrat, you'rre hirred. Follow me orrderrs an' ye'll live a king's life, got it?"

IC: (Valria)When Mef had pecked her on the cheek, she had snapped back to reality and her face was flush pink. Her hand had touched the cheek where Mef had kissed her Honestly she had no idea what had came over her and it worried her more than a little but she did here best to not wear it across her face. She handed Mef his crossbow back, though she felt a little weaker. Something had came over her and she wasn't sure that she liked the idea of it. Though everyone seemed to be congratulating her on it."Well, uh no Mef...I don't know if I could even defend myself properly." She replied quietly.

OOC: As my belated birthday present I give you Interaction to Nova.

IC (Po-Koro inn):No answer.Nova tried knocking again; the sound echoed through the hallway. Still, the doorknob did not rattle, no footsteps sounded -- the room was empty. He felt suddenly foolish. A glance in each direction, left and right, showed no one was watching. Determined to keep things that way, he bolted (in a casual fashion, of course) back down the stairwell and into the bar. Any one of the Toa milling about could be Kellin, Nova supposed; but he couldn't pick out anyone as looking more like an escort- or bounty hunter-for-hire than the rest.To the left of the door facing out was a nice, quiet, empty corner with a single table. Nova moved there, not sitting, just standing and watching the bustle of beings. He didn't feel like staying, but then, where could he go?

IC: Vernadon (OOC: Oh yeah, he's back)Vernadon flipped a coin, there was no way of telling which side it would land on, that all came down to chance. Tails, my favorite not mine. Vernadon kept walking down the hot streets of Po-Koro, I may of red armor, but I'm not a Toa of Fire. I don't like this heat, wimp, shut up Vernadon hated his 'Tails' side but like a coin he had no choice in the matter. Vernadon pulled his cloak tighter around him, it may be hot but he didn't want anyone to see his armor. That wound raise too many questions that he did not want to answer. Vernadon was walking along one of the roads crossing through the Koro. Watching as the Matoran scuttled around building things and what not. Those Matoran always so busy, never pausing to see the beauty around them. What shear chance led them to be so busy. Perhaps the chance that killed our father. Shut up! Karz if only there was someone actually interesting I could talk too. They couldn't be any worse than mister Tails. Hey!After a little while of walking Vernadon spotted, as luck would have it, a blue Toa sitting by himself. Odd for some who looked to be from Ga-Wahi, to just sit by himself. Especially in all this heat. He decided to speak to him. "Greetings, may I inquire as to what a young Toa such as yourself doing out all alone in this heat?" Vernadon asked, bowing like only a bard could.Oh pleaseOOC: By the way if you do recreate Kynaera do you want this version of Vernadon to know her as well? Edited by Toa Onarax

IC: (Mef)"Not defend yourself properly?" repeats the Toa of Earth. "I'm sure you can if you have the right weapons. Here," he says as he hands her his hunting knife after wiping off some blood that was on it. "Take this. We'll get you some more weapons soon, but you can have this for the time being."He holsters the crossbow by placing it on his back after handing Valria the knife and sheath. Mef smiles at her once more before turning back toward the others."How about we pick up the questions and et cetera after we get a place to stay for the night. I don't know about all of you, but I'm beat."-Mef

OOC: Onarax, I'm not recreating Kynaera in the BZPRPG. Maybe she'll be in some other RPG, but in this one she doesn't exist; the loss of Xa-Kuta kind of ruined her character. :PAlso, muchas gracias for the "present". :DIC (just outside Po-Koro inn):Forget the bar. Nova had moved outside, away from the scents and sounds of people. At least braving the sun's rays will make me stronger. Then he blinked: He hadn't realized someone was speaking to him. As he focused, his eyes lighting up with concentration, he caught words: "...inquire as to what a young Toa such as yourself is doing out all alone in this heat?"A red-masked Toa was bowing before Nova, a cloak covering his armor. Nova blinked again, surprised that someone would be bowing to a little Toa sitting by the corner of a building. Then he realized he had been staring at the newcomer for a good few seconds; feeling his face flush beneath his Kanohi Kakama, he stood up."Er, well," said the Toa of Fire, trying to meet the other's Kanohi Huna with a confident gaze, "I've been kind of... um, looking for a teacher." He shuffled uncomfortably. "No luck thus far, I'm afraid."

IC: [Naona/Stronin]Naona turned to face the direction of Po-Koro, gesturing to the group to follow her. Before they could react, she quickly began to walk off, leaving them to try and catch up."Let's not keep her waiting," Stronin said cheerfully, before sprinting after the Stone Toa, dragging Alex along the ground as he did.

OOC: I hope you don't mind if I move us along a bit ;)IC:"We're following a trail to bring a criminal Toa to justice." Agni said to Volin, truthfully. It was only one half of the story though. The other half was what Valria so far had only shared in detail with him a few days ago. And he preferred to keep it that way, at least until they had gotten a good rest. They would have to follow up on Valria's leads the next day. Talking to the Turaga would be a good place to start. But just for once, the Toa wanted a good bed more than to bring in a fugitive. "I'm sorry, that's all I can say right now." He turned to look at Valria. "If it's okay with you, we can share a little more tomorrow. Come on, I know a place where we can stay."The Toa of fire led their small group through the dusty streets of Po-Koro, guided by the torches the Matoran had lit on the sides of their huts at this late hour. It didn't take long to reach the place the Toa of fire had been talking about. It was relatively small inn, but looked very inviting from the outside. The front-door was open and a warm light beckoned them to enter. As they stepped inside, an older Matoran looked up from behind the counter, where he had been reading a tablet. He gave each of them a good look, before something like recognition showed in his eyes, when he saw Agni. "Well, great Spirit pull my leg, did you finally manage to set a foot outside of that smoking volcano.""Good to see you too, Dekah." Agni replied. The Po-Matoran now gave them a second round of looks, much more welcoming this time."So, what do you need? No, don't tell me. Food, drink and rooms for four, right?" he asked with a wink."Well, what can I say, you know your guests." the Toa of fire replied with a dry smile. The contrast to Dekah's upbeat nature made him realize how tired he actually was. The Po-Matoran continued, while rummaging around behind the counter: "Charming as usual. Well then, you're in luck. I have a few rooms left up on the first floor, facing the sunrise. I will have a small meal prepared for you in no time and then you're all set." When he stood up again, he presented them with four keys. Agni accepted them and while Dekah disappeared to prepare a late supper, Agni turned to the group."I know we all want our rest now, but before we eat, I just wanted to set the order we'll take the rooms. I do not think anything is going to happen, but our run-in at the bar earlier is bound to have circulated through word of mouth by now, so I want to take precautions. I'll take the one closest to the stairs. Valria, you can take the second room and Mef you'll get the third one right next to it. I am sure you like it that way. Volin, you'll be one room over from Mef. There's another staircase leading to the ground-floor there, just so you know. Well, I guess that's it for now then."OOC: This is the same inn that Kohra stayed at some pages back. Why make up a new location if you can reuse? ^^

IC (Alex, in Syyge's body, Po-Wahi):IC (Henkka, in Voi's body, Po-Wahi):As the group walked, Henkka thought about the situation. He and Alex had both been sent on this crazy time-travel journey through the usage of the Life Machine. It was called that because it could be used to reanimate the dead. For such amazing feats it needed a strong energy source too. The Vahi was good for that. Alex and Henkka had collided with the machine... and the Vahi... maybe...While Henkka pondered about the beginning, Alex thought of the ending. He was greatly annoyed by Henkka's "leadership" attitude towards him. He would make sure Henkka regretted it. However, they'd have to get back to their own time first. And Alex wasn't sure if he could wait so long."Stronin..." Henkka suddenly said, breaking the silence. "Do you remember a Matoran named... um... Lohkare?"

IC: [Stronin]Stronin stopped and frowned, his eyes darkening slightly as he tried to recognise the name. For some reason it seemed familiar, yet at the very edges of his memories. The name seemed to fit with that strange memory of being impaled through the chest, but he was pretty sure he had never been stabbed by cultists before."Can't say it rings a bell," he muttered. "But it seems strangely familiar."OOC: I'm just going to attribute his memories from before the Downtime as temporal leakage/overflow.

IC: (Mef)The Toa of Earth had been listening to the Toa of Fire's words intently. Even though he had joined them, he wasn't entirely sure what he had gotten himself into.Fugitive Toa? Piece of cake.Mef smiles as they arrive at the hotel. Finally, a good night's sleep. He was sure the bags under his eyes were showing, and he was ready to finally rest. The run-in at the bar hade made him even more exhausted, and the bottle over the head didn't help any. After listening to the way the rooms were going to be, Mef jokes at Agni saying,"Of course you want the room closest to the stairs. In case of fire, you'll be the first one out." He smiles as he gently wacks Agni's shoulder with his knuckles. "No, the rooms sound fine to me," added Mef, a more serious expression on his face, but the tired looking smile was still there. "I wonder if they have a bath somewhere...."The Onu-Toa was lost in thought about the being called Tirok who had followed them. He was about to tell the group something before they left for the hotel. He hoped that the Toa knew they weren't trying to ignore him, but they just wanted some sleep before they went into any big discussions. At the top of the stairs, Mef sighs, happily. "A nice bed, a view, and, hopefully, a bath. This is the life, Valria," he says to her as he closes his eyes. The Toa was almost wishing that the new being and Agni would go ahead in their rooms so he could talk to Valria alone. Frankly, though, he didn't want to do some dramatic scene like the ones in the plays that were performed around the islands. Where the male brings the female home, they sit on a swing, they talk. she leans her head against his, they look at each other, and they end up with their lips against each other's. All in a matter of two to three minutes. Nothing that romantic. I just want to be alone with her and make sure she's alright. She had acted a little strange after the bar fight, as if she was ashamed or something. This had the Onu-Toa concerned. Was she acting the way she was because she suddenly turned from being the defenseless and weak Toa to a deadeye shot who's not afraid to pull the trigger? Mef wasn't sure. Whatever it was, though, he wanted to make sure it wasn't bothering the female Toa.Mef takes out the cloth and continues to wipe the rest of the blood off of his Mask. Thankfully, the wounds had stopped bleeding, but it still hurt pretty bad. Have to have this looked at, soon.OOC: I think this is my longest RPing post I've ever written.-Mef Man

OOC: Vezok, aren't you forgetting someone? Well, actually, I never really mentioned I was tagging along. Sorry, should have mentioned earlier...IC: Tirokk and The ShadeThe Toa of Iron decided it to be best if he told his tale in the morning. " I'll be paying for myself... Wait, where's my... Those Karzahni forsaken... Someone stole my widgets!!!!" *Sighs* Well, it seemed he'd be staying outside.---------------------------------"Don't worry, I've got something on me..." Dackelus trew a sum of widgets on the table, "Two rooms please..." "Very well then" The Innkeeper said. "I'll be taking this room;" He say's, pointing at his room, which was right beside Volin's, "And you'll be taking the one over from mine..." ---------------------------------"Very well" The Toa of Iron say's, as he enters his room. It was small and cozy, with a bed just big enough for him to sleep in. Not that he needed it. The Toa of Iron sits down on the floor, still in some pain from the stab wound from the bar brawl from earlier. "Nnngh." Now he was in a good, relaxing position. And then he began the process. He'd realized something from earlier; He hadn't been in a fight for almost a century... all the time had been spent in Onu-Koro, defending it from seemingly non-existant threats. Now that he got in one again... he was very rusty. And because he hadn't been in a fight, he had forgotten that even the smallest gap in one's armor could be fatal if the enemy hit right. "Focus, Tirokk, focus..." he gathered all his strenght, all his power, and began the slow process of filling in the gaps with chainmail, even replacing some of his normal armor with it. This would take all night, but it would most certainly be worth it.---------------------------------"Ahhhhhh, finally, some peace and solitude." Dackelus said, removing his gauntlet from his arm. At the moment he took it off, his image changed from a black, white-clad Toa, to a being seeming to be made out of pure darkness... No, the being was of pure darkness. This also explained his weakness against light, even the smallest amount pierced his being, making him powerless... That's why he wore a cloak... and the gauntlet's image also defended him. "Soon, Tirokk, you will know the true meaning of revenge..."

Mef looks back at Tirok and the other being who had been tagging along with him. Once they entered their rooms, Mef says out loud,"So that's where he went." The Toa of Earth looks toward the group and was about to say something, but decided that all questions and conversations could wait untit the morning. He was tired and he knew the others had to have been as well. The last thing he wanted was to deny them their rest. "Well, goodnight, everyone," said the Toa. He smiles at the group, looking from Agni's face, then Valria's, then the new being's. I'm glad to be with them. Although, I'm not too sure about the new beings...-Mef Man

OOC: I didn't forget, Chief, but Tirokk was still at the bar and you did indeed not mention him tagging along. IC:"Aren't you forgetting something?" he asked the Toa of Earth. Answering Mef's questioning look, Agni dangled the keys to the rooms in front of them, which he hadn't had a chance to hand out before going upstairs. He started with Volin, then giving a key to Mef. Last, he gave Valria her key. He looked at her encouragingly. "You did good today." the Toa of fire said.

IC:

(Ga'mal)

Ga'mal looks back in the direction of Ta-Koro as they continue toward Po-Koro. Ghar-Knel and Ga'mal had just come from the village of Fire and were ready to go anywhere but there and Ga-Koro, so they travelled to the closest Koro, Po-Koro. The Ga-Matoran hoped to sell her goods in Po-Koro, but wasn't sure if she'd be able to sell them to anyone. Most beings in Po-Koro already had all they needed."Half-way there," said Ga'mal as she looks toward the sunset. "Isn't it beautiful," she says in a quiet voice, almost a whisper.-Mef Man

IC: (Valria)"Really...I was just worried...about you all." She replied quietly, she was surprised that Mef had given her a knife, but she was still really weak, and she didn't remember weapons training that much. So if anything she was a little worried about how she was able to hand it so well. It didn't sit well with her, especially those thoughts that took pleasure in other's suffering, it made her worried. She shouldn't she couldn't take pleasure if thoughts of dissecting those annoying and dangerous matoran for daring to attack her, it made her shiver to think she was capable of such thoughts. Now, that's not why she's acting the way she is.Mef still didn't understand it. Why was she acting the way she was. She did well-more than well, actually great-with the crossbow and came out unscaved (better than he did). So, why was she upset? The Toa of Earth sees that Valria was trying to get past him and up the steps. He considered just standing there and waiting until she told him what was wrong with her, but decided against it. Mef decides, rather, that he would try to talk to her in private."Valria, could I talk to you?" asks Mef. "In private," he adds before giving her a kind smile. He turns around and walks up the stairs, leading the way to his room. Mef didn't want to put her on the spot or make her think she had done something wrong. He also hoped he wasn't trying to be some sort of prince charming once they were alone. He just wanted a moment alone with her.-Mef Man

"I'm not really that familiar with everybody in Po-Koro though."Despite the fact that he had stolen from most of the village's population, he was actually telling the truth. The Iron Toa was not one for planning massive heists, so he didn't really research his targets, meaning that he probably had absolutely no idea who some of the people were.Several minutes later, the group reached the gates of the village, where Naona's two colleagues were waiting."Could you please escort these two to the holding facilities," she said, gesturing to Henkka and Alex. "I will bring Stronin along myself."A grin appeared on the Iron Toa's face."Nice to see that you love me so much.""Be quiet," the Stone Toa snapped, bonking her fellow Toa's head. "How have you been?"Naona did not respond to the question, focusing only on interrogating the being who she had been chasing for most of her career."We are not here to make small talk," she said, frowning in annoyance. "Normally I would just chuck you into the cells, but I just want to ask you a question."She leaned forward, her mask nearly touching Stronin's."Why do you resist? Why do you continue defying us and committing crimes even when every officer has a capture-on-sight order when they meet you? Why are you doing all this?"A small smile appeared on Stronin's face as he leaned backwards, somehow managing to relax into a cold and hard stone chair."Because I can," he said simply. It suffices. Now let's go. I think we have a date with that Toa of Stone."

IC: (Valria)He knew, how could he possibly know? What was he go doing to do to her? Kill her, punish her? She didn't know where those thoughts came from, though she could probably deduce where. With all the stress and horrors she had been through her mind found her to be too weak, too weak to hold herself together and protect herself, this new self was protecting her but was also bloodthirsty."Well...nothing's wrong...I just couldn't believe I was capable of fighting like that." She smiled a bit, trying to cover it up with a lie. She didn't want Mef to think she was a monster, even if he might have felt the same himself about those matoran.

Is she lying? The Onu-Toa wasn't sure. Valria seemed as if she didn't know the answer to the question he asked her, but substituted a lie instead. But, was it a lie? Mef thought maybe it was."We didn't think you were either, no offense," he replies, smiling. "You did great today. And, I'm glad you came out alive." Mef looks down toward her hands that were still in his. "I-I was afraid that I'd-we'd-lose you today." The Toa looks toward the direction of the bar. "Those Mata-Nui forsaken beasts deserved every bit of punishment they were delt today. And you helped us deal the damage." Mef turns back around and looks her in the eye. "You did superb, better than any of us could have imagined you doing. "I'm glad I was able to meet you and Agni back in Onu-Koro. I'm not sure where I'd be without you two." Mef leans forward and gives her a kiss on her left cheek. What is up with you kissing her today, silt head?Mef releases his hands from around hers before turning back toward the door. He scratches his Mask where the bottle had been smashed over his head."Well, I'll-uh. Let you sleep. It's been a long day," he says to Valria. He smiles at her as he says,"I hope they have a bath or something around here. I'm sure I stink."The Toa of Earth suddenly felt...awkward. He had never had so much compassion for a being in his life. Not even for his parents, well, especially not for his parents. Mef was confused about his recent emotions and almost overwhelmed after the battle when he had the fear of losing Valria. He needed sleep like Valria probably did. He didn't want to hold up the fragile Toa any longer. -Mef Man

IC: (Valria)Valria blushed at the compliments Mef was giving her, and the fact that he was genuinely worried for her. The kiss on her left cheek had only helped to cause her face to warm up even more, a scarlet red blush covering her entire face. Still not only had Mef and Agni spent a lot of time protecting her, Mef really seemed to like her. She could think of only one thing. Valria kissed Mef's right cheek before walking out the door."Yeah...I'm not sure what I would have done without you either." She replied quietly, before closing the door behind her, likely leaving a stunned Mef. She was worried, maybe Agni could talk to her about what was going on. He knew her the longest of the group and he might be able to understand where she's coming from.

IC Vernadon"A teacher you say," Vernadon mused. Oh no, what are you thinking, do you really what to train him. Why shouldn't I. Cause we already have enough issues on our hands. My hands not yours. But before offering his services he had to get the answer to one question, and it's follow ups. "May I ask for what purpose do you desire this teacher?" This won't end well Shut up. OOC: Hence the reason I wrote 'if', but that's too bad she had a lot of potential for a character.

OOC: Indeed. As I said, though, I just might introduce her in another RPG. It's just... she needs magic or she doesn't turn out right. :PIC (outside Po-Koro inn):Nova looked the Toa over. He seemed innocent enough; but there was something in his eyes, some mental conflict that Nova couldn't interpret. His eyes went to the ground, breaking eye contact for a moment, then moved back up. This time Nova's gaze was on the other Toa's face, not his eyes. "Well... I'm a novice Toa. I need training. What other reason do I need?" The conflict was there again; even in his mid-peripheral vision Nova could see the subtle flickering of the Toa's eyes that meant indecision. "You wouldn't happen to know anyone who could teach a Toa of Fire, would you?"

Mef continues to stand where he was, dazed, but not confused. A small smile creeps onto his face as places his hand on his right cheek. He looks back toward the door before walking over toward his bed."I still got it," he jokes, loud enough for only him to hear, but no one else. He chuckles as he thinks about the words "still." "Still" wasn't really a good word. He had never been in any kind of relationship before, let alone one like this. His parents and him had barely gotten along, especially after he was literally kicked out of the family.I'll find you all some day and show you what a Mata-Nui worshipper can grow up to be.Mef's smile was gone, but only temporarily. It had been a great day, and he wasn't about to let the memories of his family ruin his mood. He had met a handful of beings, kissed one of them, was kissed by her, had a bar fight, came out alive, as well as got to stay in a room for free. It was turning out to be a good day.He looks around the room for a bathroom or somewhere to refresh himself."There just has to be a bath..." he mumbles. The Toa continues to look around the room until he finds a small latrine. It wasn't much, just a small facet over a tub that water barely trickled out of, a small sink with a similar facet, but smaller. He didn't spot a toilet anywhere.Probably outside somewhere. The Toa locks the door to his room before taking off his armor and rinsing himself off in the shower. He steps out and places the small body suit on that was under the armor as well as his coat before looking at the cracked mirror above the sink. Mef looks at the cuts from the bottle that were on his head."He did a number on me," he mutters before going back into the main room. He grabs his armor and sits down on the bed, rubbing away the dirt and blood from the iron armor. Mef smiles to himself as he starts to whistle a tune. "Yes, it has been a good day."He stands up and lays the armor in a stack beside the bed. The Onu-Toa reaches for his weapons and looks over them."Missing my throwing knives, hunting knife, and three arrows. Valria has the hunting knife, but the other weapons must still be in the bar." He goes over the items out loud before reaching down and grabbing his cutlas. The Toa looks around the room for something to sharpen it with. Spotting a large stone that was in the room, he grabs it and starts to sharpen his weapon."I can't stand this weapon," he mumbles after sharpening it. The blade dulled easily, it was hard to swing in combat; he just didn't like the weapon. "Oh well. Maybe I can sell it and get something better soon."He makes a mental note to find a weapons dealer and sell his cutlas as well as buy a medium sized sword. He also remembered that Valria needed some new weapons. Mef makes a note of that as he reaches for his bag of trinkets."Hardly enough for a meal."He frowns before placing the bag on a table beside the bed. Mef starts to lie down to sleep, but, instead, gets up and reaches for his bolas and cutlas. He leans the cutlas against the table and places the bolas beside the pouch of trinkets. The Toa then walks toward the door and calls out a simple,"Good night," to everyone (who were probably down stairs) and goes back to his bed to finally sleep."Oh, I needed this."-Mef Man

IC: MardaMarda walked into her bar, tired and cranky."What a waste of two weeks. Not a single piece of land for mio. I guess it really is an endless ocean." she mumbled. She was horribly hungry, and had run out of rations three days before reaching Po-Wahi. She was about to get some food and go to sleep when a customer came in.Marda open for interaction.
