Vorahk1Panrahk2
The model seems to be missing the flowing lines and geometry that make the movie model Orthanc so appealing, but I guess there's really not a whole lot you can do about that at minifig scale (which is why I'd much rather see sets like this at the scale of the Architecture sets). I actually find the minifigures (and Treebeard) much more attractive than the model itself, but I don't see myself spending so much money for a few exclusive minifigures. Hitoshura
That looks really nice, and Treebeard(???) is really cool with the mobilty. The details on the inside look cool. I might consider getting this if I wasn't half broke. profiles

~garnira returns~
Wow! That is an AMAZING set! Lego, why do you have to tease me with this? "Copy and paste me into your sig! The shadows command you!" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)#tumaislove, tumaislife
Aanchir
At last, a flying mount! The ent looks interesting too! There's an identical eagle in the Battle at the Black Gate set also coming out this summer, as well, so you don't have to drop $250 to get one unless you're really interested in Orthanc. Twi
You'd think that in a set of this scale, there would be some form of stairs, or another method of traveling from floor to floor. Seriously, that is a huge pet peeve of mine. Gorgeous set though, may have to start saving for it.

Mare Tranquillitatis
Oh. My. Gosh. This is truly a must-have! That Ent is amazing, as well as the Eagle and the Tower itself. Very well done, LEGO! Now, if I had 200 euros to give away...
Obsessionist
I thought it looks kind of goofy from the official pictures. Of course, they have to scale it down to fit in the $200 price, so it can't be seven feet tall. But the way they also tried to make it minifig scale just looked disruptively disproportional. The video was a little more flattering, though- I think in person it will look terrific. Truly a stunningly designed model.
Takuta-Nui
Very impressive set! It does fall a bit short of the spectacular form shown in the movies, but it's an acceptable representation. The Ent looks a bit silly to me, and honestly gives more of an impression of some strange robot with leaves. I guess smooth plastic can never have the look or texture of wood unless the mould itself were really complicated. And that'd only drive up the price, which is outrageous enough as it is. Won't be buying it when the LEGO Store opens in my city, but perhaps it'll be there. Part One of the Chrysalis SagaBy Takuta-Nui
Toa Smoke Monster
I think that this looks really cool. True, the price is a little high, but I would still consider buying it if I had room for it. Aanchir
This is awesome even if Treebeard's eyes aren't aligned. Oh, look 200 posts.I think they're not supposed to be aligned. And I'm not sure he's supposed to be Treebeard. As some people have pointed out on other sides, they would likely call him Treebeard if that was who he was meant to be (he's just described as an "ent"), and they might be saving Treebeard for a later set with Merry and Pippin. 200 bucks and still no knee joints for Treebeard. Lego, I am disappoint.Knees might break up the column-like profile that makes him feel so much like a tree. I can see why they were omitted.
