    Short answer: No. Long answer: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Helpful answer: I'm like 90% sure it didn't. It's a successful building system that's proved it can work in multiple IPs. Even if we don't get another original CCBS-based IP, I heavily doubt it's gone for good.

    Interesting theory. Doubt it's canon in any way, but it would make for an interesting fanfiction.

    Constraction has made too much money for them in the past to drop it permanently. Maybe it'll be back soon, maybe it won't, but there's no way we've seen the last of it.

    It didn't end properly. It got cancelled after 2 years when lego said it was going to be around for at least 3 years! I never said it ended properly. Even if I did, I'd be right at some level, because G2 at least did get an ending that wrapped up the current story, as opposed to G1, which just kind of cut off in the middle of it. It sucks that it didn't do well enough to get another year, but trying to bring it back right away isn't going to fix what made it end again in the first place.

    As far as something from it goes? The Mask of Creation. It's what led us into the reboot, and it played a symbolic role throughout. As far as overall stuff goes, I basically just see a lot of wasted potential. They could have done so much more with it. Just like they could have done so much more with G1 (like actually GIVE IT A PROPER ENDING), but like, even more so. I don't know, it just seems like every franchise I see nowadays never actually lives up to its potential. Not just Bionicle, but in general. I just associate that wasted potential with G2 a lot because of how ridiculously much they wasted.

    Honestly, we never see much of the outside universe aside from the few locations where the story we followed takes place. For all we know, there could be tons of mutants running around out there. There's really no way of knowing since G1 left like half of everything unexplained.

    Oh god 2010 "Bring Back Bionicle!" threads. The cringe is real. Look, Bionicle's probably going to come back at some point. Even if it doesn't, at least it got one last shot. We can keep supporting the franchise, but we do NOT need another 2010.

    The weird thing I've noticed is that Tumblr of all places is more positive about G2 than BZPower ever was. Tumblr. To be honest, it feels like part of the problem is how long this site's been around, how many people have left, and how (relatively) few new people we're getting. It feels like a dwindling community of crotchety old men.

    This incarnation of Batman certainly seems to be running with the 'I'm Batman, I do what I want!' interpretation instead of the usual dark, brooding character. I love it.
