  1. Ahkmou His plans were as subtle as an ax to the head, and only half as interesting.
  2. I always thought that it was because that since Takanuva already "used" the mask to become a Toa, its trigger power was used up and can't turn any more Matoran into Toa. Kinda like how a Toa Stone can't be used more than once without recharging.
  3. Yeah, I know the gold color changed over the years. For what it was worth, it's pretty cool looking. My favorite gold was the Piraka/Brutaka gold they came out with in 2006, but the 2003-2005 gold was pretty good as well.
  4. Okay thanks! It's helpful with Gali, cuz it makes it that you can (kinda) see her eyes still, though it's nowhere near as transparent as her old mask lol.
  5. I know, you're probably sick of me starting topics about Golden masks, but ah well. Anyways, I recently got my hands on all 6 Mata golden masks, and I noticed that they're semi-transparent (kinda like one of the versions of the copper huna) such that you can see through them when you put them up to the light. And I'm just wondering, were they all made like that, or were there actually different versions of the actual parts, and I just happened to get six types that were all this quality?
  6. The question did say "did the Brotherhood usually carry out execution by disintegration". Maybe Greg took that part literally? And disintegration would still be used when they actually did want to remove the threat beyond all doubt? I'm quite sure they used disintegration every so often... Just a hunch though....
  7. Oh and let's not forget our friends the Skakdi! Those grinning maniacal OP characters who have powerful weapons, plus vision powers, plus a natural power plus elemental powers when teamed up. Hero Factory doesn't stand a chance.
  8. Them or even Brutaka. One swing of his sword and 6 Toa Nuva and 6 Matoran are down and out. Methinks any Order member would definitely outclass any hero, take Hydraxon or Botar, Trinuma, or Jebraz (he's the invisible guy right?) Also I seem to recall that Bionicle had a particular species that were exceptionally powerful... that also were skilled at possessing robots, I think they were called Makuta?
  9. I can see that. Anyway, I accidently forgot to mention two more annoying unresolved things, and they are: 10. How did Voltix create the Von Nebula ghost in the first Breakout episode? This has never been explained, so I find it annoying. 11. Why Evo changed personalities? At first, in the Ordeal of Fire episode, he was a clam ninja that mediates, but, from Episodes 8-now, he is acting like an unsure and panicking person who had a difficult time fighting Toxic Reapa. How ironic. I also find that annoying because again, this is not explained why he did that. To #10, one of the Hero Factory readers explained that Voltix has the power to create and control electrical projections, which seems to be what was happening in that episode. I agree that it was vague in the episode itself. To #11, the Hero Factory: Face-Off guide book says that after his victory in Ordeal of Fire, Evo was placed on the rookie team rather than the Alpha Team, and this was a huge blow to his confidence. This is why he felt such an extreme need to turn to his teammates for advice, rather than being as calm and collected as he had been in his first mission. To #10, then why make the projection look like Von Nebula? Doesn't make a lot of sense...
  10. Well, I was wanting to put in input, but I wasn't 100% sure what exactly I wanted to see in the comics. Maybe give Rach and Tiff more time in the spotlight? We haven't seen much from then other than just a few hits here and there... but I do wanna see Jontar and the other minors (especially Ghutan's minion. He's adorable)
  11. As a figure? I'd be Hydraxon, just because he has all those cool weapons and such. That or Antroz with the Jetrax T5
  12. Actually Lhikan being a Turaga would make killing him all that easier lol Maybe he'd learn how the Red Star works, so when he does kill Lhikan, he'd want to totally disintegrate him, to try and keep him from being revived again... or something like that haha
  13. Well considering that he made it a life goal to kill off that Toa, I think he wouldn't forget him anytime soon. revenge tends to keep a person in one's mind for awhile...
  14. Huh... well change in tactic... maybe Lhikan will find his way off of the Red Star (maybe with the help of two particular Toa we all know) and make it to Spherus Magna, and Vengeance "stumbles" on him.
  15. Technically the transparent Rau was supposed to portray the bug like eyes of the Nui-Rama. Same with the Tarakava and the Nui-Jaga, they incorporated the masks into their design to make it fun to knock them off, but canon-wise I'm quite sure that they weren't real masks. The only real ones were the masks the Muaka and Kane-Ra sets had (and maybe the Manas, but that's debatable... In the Mata Nui Online Game, the Tarakava's mask is removed by Gali. In Chronicles 4, Tahu is suprised that the Rahi Nui serves Makuta but wears no mask. This implies that every rahi that they fought in 2001 (including the Nui-Rama and the Nui-Jaga) wore an infected mask. That being said, as far as I know, you are correct in saying that the Kanohi represented parts of the rahis' design, not masks that cover their faces. I was meaning set wise, I know that they're supposed to all have infected masks in the story. You're right, I got my masks mixed up lol
  16. Does that mean that Zyglak are made of protodermis, and that protodermis can destroy itself? Weird. I'm not sure what you mean about destroying themselves or it being weird, but yes, they're made of protodermis, like "everything", including Krana (and since they're made accidentally by the same process that made Krana...). She's saying that it's weird that they're made from protodermis, yet they carry a disease that destroys organic protodermis, (even though for some reason they're not affected.)

  18. Oh I wasn't going for a main villain. More of a side menace to kinda cause a bit of a setback to a plan or something, you know kind of an "unexpected event" that throws everyone's plans around and they have to deal with it first. Besides, that shield has the ability to deflect almost any attack, so he's got that going for him. And it was stated that Lhikan was the equal of six Toa in a battle, so it's not like he was defeated by just anybody, Lhikan was a legend among Toa.
  19. I had an idea for a plot if anyone is gonna continue the story of Spherus Magna in the original story. We've seen very little of the Dark Hunters, (at least the individual characters such as Mimic, Ravager and Savage etc.) and we really have no idea what they've been up to now that things have drastically changed. Enter Vengeance. Recall that he's the Dark Hunter who was captured by Lhikan during the Dark Hunter-Toa War. He swore revenge on Lhikan but when Teridax killed Lhikan first, he felt cheated of his revenge and sought to kill the great Makuta himself. Here's where my idea comes in: Teridax was killed by Mata Nui in the great Robot Battle, which again, robs Vengeance of his due revenge, so the next logical step would for him to vow to kill Mata Nui! He'd seek to obtain the Ignika that houses Mata's spirit and try to find a way to either destroy the mask, or get Mata Nui out of it, so he can properly kill him. Tell me all what you think?
  20. Nidhiki as a first... Zaktan because he's totally amazing, and Darkness was totally epic because of his mystery and menace... and I love Mimic's powers. There's just a bunch that's really cool.
  21. He's saying the mask powers they have now, they had matoran versions of them. After they became toa hagah, they were given new masks with different shapes, but with the same powers (take Norik's for example)
  22. Actually those were assumed destroyed, but the energized protodermis entity revealed that if you cap up one of the lakes, it will just reappear somewhere else (which explained why Keetongu and Helryx found a huge lake of the stuff in that one cavern. So there is actually still a lot of EP around. ... Well, I never came by that interpretation. It seems highly illogical to me that EP would be simply indestructible, especially since Greg stated several times that it could be destroyed, and had been destroyed. I can't find the wording or the logic to disprove your statements. But that idea just seems plumb wrong to me. It's not my words it's what was written in the Destiny War serial, in the chapter when Helryx and Keetongu confronted the EP entity. But I don't think they destroyed the EP per se... from what the Entity said they were simply caving in the pool so that it was no longer inaccessible. So they created pressure there, and forced it to emerge somewhere else, and eventually all ended up in one place in one huge pool. And they never destroyed that particular pool, so EP is pretty much still active and around. But anyhow... how do you destroy something that destroys or changes anything that comes in contact with it? Edit: Biosector01 states that the Order figured out a counter substance to destroy it that way.

  24. Well... short answer is yes haha. Take some of the classic ones, the kakama, the pakari, or the hau, the huna, the komau, the mahiki or matatu... so far we've got speed, strength, shielding, invisibility, mind control, illusions and telekinesis, and that's only scratching the surface. Going from there you have the "immoral" masks the Makuta wear, the inika's masks, the mahri's masks... may of which are definitely helpful in combat, but then there are also many more that have practical use as well, such as the masks of vision, levitation, water breathing, truth, quick-travel... Then you throw in the legendary masks, such as time, life and creation, and I'd say yes definitely haha
