G3? Honestly, I'd just want to see something fresh and bold. Fresh: hmm...Bionicle has never taken place on a full continent before...only islands and under water and the core of the universe (and then the other planet which I usually forget about...) and a storyline that isn't a reboot or rehash of anything G1 (or now G2) covered. Bold: New group of toa (sorry, I love Tahu and crew, but I feel like keeping the original characters somehow limited what the writers could do in some ways) Maybe featuring more contests like the Rahi and dark hunters where the winners get their creations added into the story. (And making said winners provide instructions so that other fans may build those characters if they so choose). And then things that I've been wanting for a while: A fully dedicated console game to the story and a more constant series or even a movie.

I'd say I'm about 25% surprised, but I saw it coming when they started pulling sets from the shelves

That's why I wanted to ask for an alternative! D: Uh...before I get to an alternative, let me just say that while that's accurate, I wish it wasn't. People need to just let go and move past a problem and worry about other things. I don't see any heresy in saying that there's more to life than just Lego. We all love Lego and Bionicle, but unless you're under the age of 12, I refuse to believe that this is the most important issue in your life that you have to cope with right now. That being said, I am sad to see the line go, but to be frank I'm a college student and I just don't really have the freetime to constantly be concerned with what's happening with Lego or Bionicle. As for an alternative, just because new story lines aren't being produced doesn't mean that you can't still use your pieces and imagination to create your own new adventures or write your own Expanded Universe with it. Or even just go socialize and hang out with your friends! Get up and active, go find something else that captures your imagination. Honestly, what are we talking about here? Look at Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra. Both of them are great shows! However, Korra struggled in the beginning 2 seasons...because it relied too much on the previous show (Airbender). When she lost connection to all the past lives and essentially became a new beginning and the show ventured off to new ideas in the same world as the previous show, that's when it became gold. Were seasons 1 and 2 bad? Absolutely not, but were they great? Not as good as what the expectation was. Seasons 3 and 4 took the same world and went to new places, developed new ideas and added tastefully to the original storyline without relying on it. Why am I referencing these shows? Because that's the only way G2 could've worked if it wasn't a reboot. The writers and creators would need to carefully find a connection point in the plot and create new characters that did something that was familiar enough to please the old fans that still cared and adventurous enough to A: not feel dated and B: still be marketable and profitable to a new group of fans. Gen 2 played it safe...maybe a little too safe for its own good. I understand that G2 is a different entity than the original, but if we're being honest, storyline wise, it didn't really do anything too outside the original gen. The writers chose to reboot the original characters and keep a lot of the same characteristics while adding a few new and such. They did a great job staying true to what G1 was all about while making a new storyline in a new universe with classic characters...and that lasted 4 waves... If they would've created a new team of toa and explored ways to expand the Gen 1 story while not relying too much on the original gen, then we could've potentially gotten something tasteful and special. However, this is all easier said than done. Would it have lasted longer? There's so many factors that we need to look at that I don't have the time, nor patience to do. Hope this is helpful/relevant

New Epica song released recently. Definitely worth checking out. I personally find them to be the best group in the symphonic metal genre and one of the few to actually live up to the metal expectation and not just noodle around with the orchestral arrangements.

Honestly... When I first heard that Bionicle was being pulled from store shelves, I knew that something was up. I really have no words to describe this move by lego. I don't really feel betrayed, but I just can't help but wonder why they don't just come out and say why they pulled the plug. At least give us that information.

Please do the following: -define "edgelord" -tell us what putting more thought and emotion into Bionicle could accomplish -why do you think the only current emotion in bionicle is happiness I'd like to understand what you're trying to say, but the way it's currently worded confuses me (and judging by other posts, I'm not the only one) Please and thank you

I feel like I'm easy to please: I just want the Mask of Ultimate Power

As long as it's released for PC, I'm all with you... I agree that PC is a great platform, but I want some more games for my PS4 (I'm a very casual gamer and only play things that I enjoy (therefore I only have like 5 games at the moment)) I'm not an elitist, I just don't own a console I know we're going off topic here, but how do you like your PS4? I've been on the fence about one literally since they were released. The rumors of an upgraded version coming soon has me put off from getting one, but I am interested in the upgraded version, but still undecided. PS4 is my first console since the original Nintendo Wii. I really like it. I use the DVD/Blu Ray player and Netflix more than I play games tbh, but the games are great when I'm in the mood, not to mention the graphics are amazing. I have zero complaints about the system. Back to the matter at hand though, I also think that some parts packs would be great (like that ultimate creature kit or whatever that had 400 random pieces in it. Those were great).

Very nice work! I love the gold's return. When I first saw the pics of Ekimu 2k16 I was stumped by the lack of gold. The trans blue mask looks boss, but without any gold, the set looked very bland. This however...I love and approve of! Great job!

Added. Nice! This is one of the best methods to accomplish the task of putting a mata head on a newer age body (Av Matoran, HF, current Bionicle) that I have seen! It actually looks good from the side (which is the angle some of the methods don't take into consideration). You have my stamp of approval!

Hmm... Honestly, I think a console game... (if the designers are meticulous about it and don't rush it like the '03 game...and please not anything resembling the Heroes games or Lego Star Wars or others of the like. I want a pretty action packed game that tells the story and takes it seriously (with some appropriate comic relief but not at the saturation level of Lego Star Wars) and immerses the player in the Bionicle World.) I could go on and on about how the '03 game was one of my favorite aspects of Bionicle (even despite its flaws) and I honestly think that a console game would help the line sell more. Being real here, kids these days play a lot of video games and it wouldn't hurt the actual toy sales to have a console game (because I really hate most mobile games because they take too much phone battery and they aren't nearly as fun because they're on a tiny screen.) That would basically be it. The other things I would've said have already been covered (larger, more Technic oriented rahi/creatures and more mask color options) ...wait...One last Idea: larger more technic oriented titans/villains. I understand that we have large titans, but what happened to those super titans? Like Brutakka or Tuma that just tower over the heroes and actually look like it would take all 6 toa together to defeat?

Bionicle was special to me because my cousin introduced it to me via his MoC's. His MoC style was so cool and I thought they were sets at first and then he said he built them from scratch and then I was sold. It didn't take much for me to get into Bionicle lol

I voted that it'll be replaced by something new. I love G2 dearly, but I'm just not sure if it's as successful this time around. The netflix series is a good indication that it's going to stick around longer though. It's still too early to accurately predict though imo.

Oh Megadeth's drumming isn't that bad. Anyway, I just got around to listening to The Book of Souls album from last year and I'm loving it. And aside from The Unguided, Anthrax, and Megadeth, I haven't really heard many new albums from this year, any recommendations? Also new Evergrey single coming out on July 28th and new album in September (pretty excited)
