  1. Somewhat matches their market I guess - but I think moving up from that a bit would still appeal to their demographic as well as the older one. But I'm sure they'll adjust as needed.
  2. It sounds good - but I'm not sure it's enough to convince me unfortunately for that price. Particularly after how the last movie left me feeling...
  3. Christain is so friggin good to us fans! So much love for him! Thank you!
  4. Keen for this - hoping it does a good job fleshing everything out in more detail.
  5. Really cool stuff, makes me wish we had a wider variety of Rahi combiners like these/the ones in 2001 the expand the world. My favs are the Lava Ussal and Orange Kuckoo Bird. The Ussal is ssoo cute.
  6. From what I've heard a large part of the rating comes from consumer trust, brand loyalty etc... Which TLC excels at so not too surprising on those fronts. Combine that with the branching out into other industries it makes a decent bit of sense IMO.
  7. So sad it didn't get the nomination for movie and didn't win the award for what it did get the nomination for. Ah well it was nice to see this touch for the show and increased my enjoyment.
  8. Why not have a "youth", "junior" and "senior" category? Like youth being 0-12, 12-17 and seniors being 18+? It allows some ambiguity of age. My point is more that since age is, if you want it to be, arbitrary on this site, you might as well make the categories not so closely linked by age? Tbh though I don't think would make an enormous difference either way, but I do think having skill based categories of some type might be nice for the newer/less skilled MOCers.
  9. Nice idea in general but between people not wanting to reveal their age/not showing their real age and the other issues mentioned - I feel it'd be more trouble than its worth. Perhaps an optional "casual" and "serious" catagorisation instead? Give the serious category a better prize, but make the casual one easier to win/have the rules set up that its more friendly to a younger audience specifically? Making it optional would allow people to judge what skill level they're at regardless of age and compete with others similar to themselves? (I can think of some issues but can also think of work arounds for those - for example if someone who's reeeaaally good decides to go into the casual/easier one maybe mods could suggest they try for the harder/competitive one?) Just my initial thoughts.
  10. That would be such an exciting job! Congratulations, am sure they made the perfect choice!
  11. Personally I prefer mystical, but I think a good balance of both is the best for the series. Maybe have cycles starting with mystery and ending in epic conclusions? Not an insightful thought, but I think that's what they've kind of aimed for a lot of the time.
  12. Probably from around 2011 when I was in my senior year of high school and things got busy - after that was over I'd pop back here and there, but between Bionicle having ended and the forums popping on and offline I didn't really come back properly until the rumours of Bionicle's return.
  13. That's encouraging to see, hopefully it keeps up as things progress.
  14. Probably wouldn't have retained my interest in Bionicle as heavily around 2006-2007 and may have moved on to something else to obsess over. Very hard to say though because the site had such a large impact on that period of my life.
  15. Yeah didn't find it very clever or funny and wasn't very honest to look at one aspect of a very good movie (the Oscar nomination bite was pretty poor I thought). That being said I never really found any of their more famous parodies particular funny either.
  16. 2008 - ignoring the fact that it'd have needed other movies prior to it to explain the previous two years for it to be good IMO. That being said 2007 probably my second choice because I really liked the villains characters that year and think would work well as a movie.
  17. That's a fair point actually - splitting the subforum purely for the purpose of having a place to discuss the aspects of G2 with no relation to the decade long back story to make new members more welcome seems like a nice idea. I remember back during G1 posting in S&T could be pretty intimidating at first and I imagine it'd be a lot worse for G2 first timers.
  18. Aquay bluey whitey pattern on a grid of squares/diamonds
  19. Could be an idea to wait a bit longer to see how exactly G2's storyline is set entirely and how people take discussing G1, G2 and topics involving both. Also would need to get a better idea of how much of each sort of discussion is occurring and whether it justifies/could sustain a subforum.
  20. Made my order and got mine - happy Australia is getting this.
  21. As mentioned previously, I think the biggest difference for me is/will be the lack of something like MNOG which not only took a lot longer to work through, but also allowed you to explore from the point of view of a character of the world and allowed you to immerse yourself not only into the game itself but also the other media (ie after playing MNOG you could appreciate the settings and characters in the books and comics etc... a lot more, or at least I thought so). It also allowed I think little details added to the game to be inspected by the community and indirectly expanding the mythology and fleshing out in the world. It's a lot harder to do that with a non-interactive format I feel. Not saying every year needs MNOG, but it's a very good thing to have at the beginning of a new setting and basically new cast of characters since it allows you to establish it a lot better and immerse your audience.
  22. I like Mukau more, but it doesn't feel to be a pressing or relevant enough issue to bother changing it for me personally.
