  1. And both were extremely frustrating to work with. I faced countless problems with shaping the robes and hood, and sticking the stickers on tiny surface areas. Add to that the fact that the stickers would quite often fall off, which is the reason the head took over 5 hours to get right. Thanks for your input though!
  2. Thank you! I do my other renders using Bluerender, but wasn't really keen on making one. LDD to POV takes far too long to my liking to finish a render, something I can't be dealing with given how I always need my laptop to work on it.
  3. Feel free to download the LDD LXF to do whatever you want with it!
  4. PMed, posted, and received! Thanks a lot to An/A Blade for the awesome sketch of me working on a robotic arm... not too different from what I've been doing over summer! This has been a whole lot of fun guys, so thank you so much to the organizer (Windrider)! Happy holidays to everyone!!!
  5. Daedalus vs the Minotaur by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr I know this is not exactly how it went down in the Mythos, but I employed a bit of artistic license to depict a fight scene between the Minotaur and his imprisoner, Daedalus. This is dedicated to BZPower member Daedalus, for whom I happened to be selected Secret Santa. Well I can now gladly present him with his gift, this desert fight scene! LDD file available Here. Merry Christmas!
  6. https://flic.kr/p/CfFhQf Step 1: head to Preliminary Poll Leia Organa. Step 2: vote entry 2 (DARTH MAUL). Step 3: receive my utmost gratitude. Forever. Main shot https://flic.kr/p/BqDf2n Seriously though. Took me ages, especially with those tedious stickers. Really happy with the end result though. Thanks in advance for your ctiticism and comments and one last reminder to vote... for the good of the DARK SIDE!
  7. And what a great return it is! Quite fond of the leg shaping and the chest layers. The color scheme is one of my favorite combinations. Brilliant MOC as always!
  8. Great start! Where did you get all of those panels in Silver/grey (can't exactly tell which color that is)?
  9. I volunteer as tribute! This sounds like such a cool idea!
  10. Really well done dude! I really like the silver and green color scheme. Textures can be a bit more consistent tho. Aside from that it's quite the MOC
  11. Thank you! What you see as orange is actually red, poorly photographed as always After spending a total of 17 hours on the horse, I couldn't spend any more time to figure out how to light up my photography environment. That and I suck at photoediting of all kinds so... I also think I could have a bit more when it comes to the rider, but the main focus was the horse, and again.. after having spent 17 hours on a MOC you kinda want to move on to start writing up all your reports and all that
  12. Brilliant MOC. The eyes are particularly well done as well. The Skull Spider as a brain is ingenious!
  13. Figured I haven't posted here in forever so.... Gundam KW7 Dragoon (Original Suit)- Dual Pulse Pistols by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr A Gundam unit from my imagination. Inspired by some of matt_One's works and a re-do of a unit of the same name I made a while back. Renders and other poses coming soon (once I've figured out rendering, that is)! Gundam KW7 Dragoon (Original Suit)- Long-range Laser Rifle by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr More pictures here. Even more coming in December! Don't forget C&C! I always like a bit of feedback (owing to the fact that I've studied control theory for the past three years.. Feedback is very important)! Bubbye now!
  14. Precisely the reason (or one thereof) we know this wouldn't be suitable as a LEGO Ideas project Thank you so much guys! Word of caution: Unless your PC is powerful enough it probably wouldn't be a great idea to try and open the whole file. It took us ages to stitch it together because of how heavy and complex the whole thing was! If anyone has ideas for future collaborations we'd definitely like to hear them! Just PM me or TheOneVeyronian, and we'll try and work over some stuff in December/January time. Thanks again!
  15. Hats off (pun intended XD) to everyone who participated, and to those who voted for my Headless Horseman in the final poll: I thank you.
  16. Can't wait till Tufi Piyufi publishes the results thread for BBC#71!

    1. Nescent

Congrats on making 3rd place! :D

  17. Made it to the semis? I'm pleasantly surprised! Now if y'all could help me get somewhere in the top three, it'd be swell Either that or my Horseman will come for your HEAD!
  18. Same poll as DeeVee... will be interesting to see how far my headless horseman (#9) will make it. Best of luck to all!
  19. Excellent head technique! I was personally going for a pumpkin-head theme for my Headless Horseman, but after seeing this I knew I wouldn't be able to come close to how good it was, so I decided against it. I'd wish you luck, but I doubt you'll be needing any
  20. Some more effort could have gone into the hands, and I'm not too sure about the scale of the nose compared to the rest of the head. Other than that, I really like the pun and the character's got loads of...well...character! Also, really nice tail technique! And sublime photography, as always
  21. Love the technique used for the eyes! The rest of it is pretty cool as well, and simple! Best of luck!
  22. Edit: This MOC got third place in BBC#71! It's my highest ever standing in a BBC! Thanks to everyone for your votes!!!!! German folklore is rich with tales of horrors, whose marks have driven entire genres of books and literary productions. And we all know of a horseman who rides without a head, searching for mindless vengeance, and his lost skull. So it brings me great joy to have built this iconic character, and posted it for your eyes to see! BBC71HH02 by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr Other Side (Showing tail in more detail...lol!) I've built several horses over the years, the most recent of which was in 2012. I think this is so far my best in terms of scale, execution, and dare I say photography as well! The picture, while a bit too grainy to my liking, has come out rather nicely. A lot of credit for this build goes to Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, without whom some of the details would not have been possible.
  23. Great looking MOC! Seriously, not too often do you see such big and juicy Bionicle MOC's that look this good. And great photography as well! Overall, well done, and best of luck!
  24. So Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence is slowly eating away at my brain. It's gotten so bad I memorized the song by playing various covers of it for a couple hours. The song just managed to consume every single thought I had, owing to Draiman's impressive clean vocals. Getting a bit fed up of my normal stuff though. Anyone have any suggestions for something fast-paced, with strong vocals (like those of Jørn Lande, for example)? Cba with too much screaming/groaning at the moment. Thanks in advance
