Does anybody else have recurring dreams of BIONICLE? A common theme for me is dreaming I'm in a store and I suddenly discover there are all sorts of old and unopened sets, and I mean loads of them. And usually the more I start digging, the more sets appear; there are occasionally unusual variations of boxes that I'm seeing for the first time, limited edition sets and combo packages no one has ever documented. And just as I'm thinking I've just hit a gold mine, I usually wake up from the excitement. This happens to me about once every two or three months. Anything similar ever happen to you guys?

Hello fellow Bionicle fans, Just wanted to let everyone know that Quake Beast seems to be out of stock on shop.lego.com as of this posting. This set is also not currently available at Toys R Us.com either. I would recommend going to your local Lego and Toys R Us stores if you still want to get this set before it's super hard to find, or call Lego customer service to see if you can order it. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Quake-Beast-71315?fromListing=listing http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=85312186&prodFindSrc=search&cp= Thanks for your time! [The title got chopped; it says: (use headphones for better experience)] Hello, friends! Today I'm starting a musical project that is linked with Bionicle. I'll announce you when I post songs or if I have news. You can listen to my music here. This is the first song Le-Matoran in Bota Magna! I hope you enjoy! Thanks for listening! It is just the beginning (Constructive criticism is welcome)

In a few hours it will be exactly a week after the unexpected collapse of Bionicle Generation 2. While this event, cataclysmic to our beloved hobby, has answered a few questions, it has created many more new questions that loom over not only Bionicle, but over constraction as a whole. We know that Generation 2 has collapsed and I think that we can be certain that LEGO wouldn't have cancelled Bionicle if Bionicle was a success - in fact, if they cancelled it so quickly, unexpectedly and in defiance of their earlier plans, it must have been, financially speaking, extremely unsuccessful. I am quite certain that if it were only a minor unsuccess they would have merely decreased its production and stocking and not cancel it. The end of Generation 2 seems to indicate that the line must have been a true massacre unsuccess Which brings me to what we don't know - to the main question why I created this thread - What has failed? Was it Bionicle? Or was it constraction itself? Now the thing that really put this big question mark into my head was this tweet: This is a tweet released by the LEGO group itself. I really find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have contingency plans for a sudden collapse of one of their lines - you don't get to be the leader in the toy market without covering all the angles. They had exact financial figures so, unlike us, they had to see this coming. Yet they don't have a replacement for Bionicle. I can think of several interpretations of this kinda vague tweet - one of them being that this failure might have been something bigger than just Bionicle. What if constraction as a whole is dying? Truth is, this tweet seems to suggest that for the first time in many years, there won't be a constraction exclusive theme around. Now this is obviously mere speculation on my part - I am not saying that I know something about this issue, I am merely highlighting that I don't know what's happening and that I am puzzled by it. And because I am puzzled by this I would like to hear the opinions of other forumers, so please share your thoughts and maybe we can get some answers in this sea of proto .... ehm, I mean in this sea of questions

Guys, I know that Lego cancelled Bionicle G2 on July 29, which is three days ago, but this half of the year is Bionicle's 15th anniversary (It was born in 2001), so I consider this heinous: dying on its birthday. I'm sorry if it sounds dark, but cancellation is surely a bad birthday present to our beloved Bionicle. Anyone knew and shocked about it when you thought about it? I asked Lego through Twitter if they can come up with something that can celebrate Bionicle's 15th anniversary, like a TT video game or a documentary, but that something doesn't involve sets in my mind since there won't be 2017 sets. However, Lego replied that "We do not have plans for additional content. Stay tuned to Bionicle.lego.com for any future updates." Man, cancellation of the theme is a bummer. What about your thoughts, too? Speaking of this topic, you guys can also talk about your feelings about the cancellation in these two topics: 1. http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/22779-happy-15th-anniversary-bionicled/?do=findComment&comment=1083258 2. http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/22373-your-bionicle-wish-is-at-my-command/?do=findComment&comment=1074766 Hopefully, these could cheer you up, too.

There's many people I know that love transparent pieces for mocs and other things and those that seem to hate them for being too colourful and fresh looking. So I'm wondering what the fans' overall view is of the use of transparent pieces in ccbs, constraction and bionicle in general. I made a strawpoll to get a concrete look at what the fans think of this issue/topic http://www.strawpoll.me/10887707

The bionicle fandom and constraction in general seems to be at a cross roads as to what to think about bionicle getting cancelled. So I'm wondering what your first reaction was when you heard that bionicle was getting cancelled again. I also made a strawpoll to have some concrete evidence of what the fans think http://www.strawpoll.me/10881495

I was googling around and stumbled onto something peculiar: a lot of hi-res isolated images of BIONICLE movie characters appear to be available for purchase on Alamy – a stock photo site very similar to iStock or Shutterstock. I'm not entirely sure if they are available anywhere else, but I think this is a neat discovery, and the images themselves are actually fairly affordable if anyone wants to use them for posters or other types of home decoration.

Goodbye, Gen 2 Bionicle. You were fun while it lasted. You gave us some cool sets and some really amazing masks. (Mask of Creation FTW!) And while your story wasn't the best, it did have some good moments. Plus you gave us a TV show, which is something Gen 1 never got. (I still need to watch it though. ) R.I.P Bionicle. Maybe we'll see you again sometime in the future.

I wanted to get an estimate of pricing for the Villain Pack, if anyone wants to buy the mask, I'll be willing to let go for a reasonable price. I can provide pics if necessary, I won it Through a BZPower livestream.

I know it's still pretty soon, and we're all still adjusting to the news, but a question popped into my head a minute ago, and I thought I'd bring it here: "What defines G2 for you?" I'd seen topics like this about G1, where people would describe or name one thing that really sums up the best of BIONICLE for you. To some, it might be one year (like 2004 or 2007), one wave (like the Toa Metru or the Barraki), one set (Brutaka or Icarax), a mask, or some key point in the story. For G1, my thoughts always go back to Brutaka as my defining set and 2007 as my defining year. For me, when I think of G2, the story doesn't stand out to me as spectacular, and the sets aren't great, either. But for all I hated about G2 when it first came to us in 2015, I have to say the Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder set jumps out as what defines G2 for me. It gave us the ultimate good guy and the second-in-command bad guy. It had some good contrast and great appeal, and the new Mask of Creation, to boot. So, your turn. When you think of G2, what is the main thing you jump to?

Thinking back to when the original Bionicle got discontinued in 2010-2011, there was a lot of debate about how Bionicle should be if it was brought back, whether it should be a continuation of what we knew, or if it should be hard-rebooted. Some argued a continuation to keep the old fans, while others argued a hard reboot because the original was too complex. In the end we got a hard reboot, and it only lasted two years. The question I have is, do you think Bionicle would've lasted beyond 2016 if the decision was made to make it a continuation or soft reboot on Spherus Magna instead of the hard reboot we got? It's times like this I wish I had a Kanohi Olisi...

It's been interesting having to hold onto this secret for two months. I'm definitely sad that BIONICLE is over, but there are so many places the community can take this that I'm actually a little excited. I hope people respond well to our plans for the future.

A thing isn't beautiful because it lasts, it is a privilege to be among them.

Well, the announcement dropped today that G2 is ending, and well, I knew it was coming but honestly thought we would get another year. I'm very glad that LEGO even decided to make G2 in the first place, and happier still with the execution, while the ending is bittersweet after only two years, I think it was done well and respectfully. Goodbye again, BIONICLE, luckily for you, we've been through this before. I don't really have much else to say other besides that I better get on finishing up my G2 collection. -
It appears that season 2 of journey to one possibly confirms bionicle will be cancelled after 2017 and I believe it's up to us the fans and the grassroots of bionicle to rise up and speak out against lego's decision and with that I created a petition to bring back bionicle again! https://www.change.org/p/lego-group-lego-bionicle-continue-in-2017 https://www.change.org/p/bionicle-fans-bring-back-bionicle-again

While I was building my entry for the Makuta contest, I decided to actually build the MOUP using system pieces. It isn't perfect but it stands in well. I've thought about it for a while and decided to share the LDD file. Feel free to use this design on your own Makuta entry if you like. http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/gallery/192a4eaf-2491-4a13-8b80-ea5747239994?index=1 (may still be pending) Edit: While we wait for part of LEGO's staff to approve the post in the gallery, here are some pictures. (note I had to leave the mask on the left in the file, even though it isn't the final design, because the file wouldn't upload if I deleted it) If you find a way to improve the design, please share it with the rest of us, thanks. I wish everyone the best of luck in the contest and may the best MOC win. Update: Added eyes as suggested by Master Inika. Eyes are held in by the spikes (tested with physical bricks and it works).
