Queen of Liars Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) I remember there being a topic like this in the old forums... So, what is the last item of music you acquired, be it an album, EP, single or anything else to do with music? Myself, I Just got an exclusive collector's 10'' vinyl of Machine Head's Locust. Xinlo Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 My most recent would probably be Opeth's Heritage. It was a few weeks ago, but I've had no money since. Transcendence Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Evanescence's new album which just hit Nr.1 on Billboard 200, Evanescence. Critically acclaimed and worth my money. Marina & The Diamonds' new single Radioactive, off the album that comes out Spring 2012. And then Florence + The Machine's two new singles, What The Water Gave Me and Shake It Out, off her upcoming album Ceremonials, which hits stores on Halloween (October 31st). Yep, that's pretty much it. You should check them out, they're all off different musical categories. I'm sure you'll find something you like. Quote

Protodite Karzahni Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I purchased Moonquake / Caedeus from the Monster Hunter Tri soundtrack off of iTunes this morning, while waiting for a bus that never turned up. I bought it to cheer myself up after missing the first bus into college. Guess who had an unwanted day off. >_> Quote I wrote stories once. They were okay.
Hanako Herupa Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 AWOLNATION's Megalithic Symphony (Yes the name of the band is in all caps). Every song from that album is different and I love it, especially "Guilty Filthy Soul". Quote
Nescent Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I'll list the few albums I've bought recently: (all within a day or two of release) -X Rated by Excision-Cross The Line (Special Edition) by Camo & Krooked-Evanescence (Deluxe Edition) by Evanescence None have disappointed, although Evanescence was a bit slow to deliver Quote
pls respond Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) The last album I bought was Against The World by Winds of Plague. I bought it on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. There are some awful wigger moments spread throughout but if you can get past those and the god-awful lyrics it's actually a decent release. Huzzah! Edited October 19, 2011 by Idunnolol Quote
Deep-Freeze Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 F-Zero GX/AX Soundtrack. It's impossible to not like that game's OST. It's a shame I have to import it, shipping costs an arm and a leg even for the cheaper options. Quote KUYASHIIXbox LIVE Gamertag: ImaGonnaGetYou

~Takava Nirhii~ Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Hmmmm The last album I bought was Comatose by skillet. Awesome album. Not really a purchase, but I downloaded SEES's album TheenD after it was recommended to me. They were offering it for free, so it's cool. The album's really good, too. Last thing that cost me money was the song "Slip Away" by Dry Cell. Also pretty good, though not stellar. re:Twilite Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Split The Atom by Noisia. It's not the usual dubstep/drum and bass that I usually listen to, but I like it. The opening track is sick and their (2) collabs with Foreign Beggars are gold. Quote It's all because the internet.
Nytrone Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 The new 311 album: Universal Pulse. For only $8! On release day! And it's some of the best new music I've heard in a while! I love the album's summery, groovy, uplifting vibes! Always makes my day! Quote

Bundalings Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 A signed copy of Switchfoot's Vice Verses. It's good, but I don't like it quite as much as Hello Huricane. And before that it was the Bastion soundtrack. Quote I want to THRIVE Not just survive.
Laughing Man Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Picked up Playlist: The Very Best of Mudvayne. Mudvayne is one of the few nu-metal bands I legitimately enjoy, but not enough to collect multiple albums just for the sake of getting the songs I especially like, so this was fairly perfect - especially since it was $7 for 14 songs.
