Hapori Tohu
There's good news for Hero Factory fanatics and MOCists alike, as high resolution images of the Winter HF show up on a German toy site. The images, as shown in BZP Member Mesonak's Brickshelf gallery, depict a team of sleek heroes, equipped for their latest mission, and the villains they are up against. Cool looking sets with interesting pieces, (is that a little teal I spy?) these sets do not disapoint. Vorahk1Panrahk2
Intriguing looking. Some of them certainly don't look half bad and there are interesting pieces. Erebus
What are those things hanging by chains? Handcuffs?Looks that way. I am really digging the look of Toxic Reapa. I grew fond of its name even though it sounds a bit silly. This might be my first HF set. The Black Phantom set looks nicer than before. Takatu
Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing those helmets on the smaller first wave, or maybe it's just the picture angles, but their heads looks kinda small for their bodies. Loving the unique breastplate designs, though, especially the flames on Furno. Also, as with Bionicle, I'm convinced Lego is much better at designing villains than they are heroes. Dorek
Yeah, people are gonna dig Breez just because of Samus XP. Not a Metroid fan, so I'm less than enraptured with her. Also I still hope those helmets are redone in 2.0 style, but Glatorian helmets wouldn't be SO bad... I guess... Vezok's Friend
So, we have a main-villain that looks like he came from the cover of a heavy metal band, and one like two-face? Cool!Definitely going after Thornraxx (TEAL!) and maybe Furno. and Also, Breeze is so gonna get bought, those blades are just too good to pass up.While it is nice to see Surge again, he seems to be the must uninnovative of the bunch, alongside Evo, who seems a bit dull. ~Kodan~
These heroes seem to be a perplexing blend of greatness and disappointment: awesome new armor and other pieces, but the apparent choice to go back to the older Glatorion heads doesn't seem, to me, to be a step in the right direction. As much as liked the original helmets, I would have preferred to see them adapted to the 2.0 heads rather than taking a step backwards and making the 2.0 and 3.0 helmets incompatible. No complaints about those villains though ...~Kodan~

Gatanui
Guys, it´s not teal (a colour discontinued for years), it´s most likely the new dark azure colour from Alien Conquest sets, or ADU-blue, as I call it. ;)I love almost every single set of this, some more like Toxic Reapa (best villain eva ), some less like Breez. The only set that just does not grow on me is Splitface, but I expect it to look better in reality than on the pics. Overall great sets with many original ideas! I love how the piece count has increased with the 10 EUR/8 USD sets, which have gone from having 15 pieces like Nektann (14 without Golden Armor piece) to 39 on Surge and over 40 on Thornraxx. I think this development is truly amazing! Taking into consideration that the Piraka costed 10 EUR and had 42 pieces, of which 4 were Zamor spheres, and that these sets have more larger pieces we are in the old days of price/piece ratio again. In case you are interested, here are more piece counts as far as I could determine them:Breez: 53Evo: 36Furno: 51Surge: 39Rocka: 52+Jawblade: 39+Splitface: 43+ (confused about this one as Splitface is a 13 EUR/USD set)Thornraxx: 40+Toxic Reapa: 38+Why is it always the German online toy stores, anyway? ~Gata. J46 Nui
I love the return to the Agori heads. If I had one complaint about the last couple of waves it would be the new head that looks absolutely terrible when not wearing a helmet. I also think the red/steel bad guy looks cool. -JustGeorge-
Hmm...impressive and cool and neat with all the new pieces and stuff... But is anyone else bugged by the fact everyone has white cores? That kinda takes the individuality out a bit. Definitely impressed by the hero-cuffs, those were introduced when? the first year? Aanchir
Yeah, I'm really fond of this upcoming wave, just as I have been of the past two. As with those, of course, there are a few disappointments. I'm not totally happy with the return of Glatorian heads, particularly how they require so many eye colors to change (and I liked the 2.0 hero faces better anyway). A lot of people would argue that keeping unique eye colors would be just as easy as releasing Glatorian heads in different transparent colors, but it's really not that simple. The Glatorian heads appear in all the transparent fluorescent colors currently on TLG's color palette, and any non-fluorescent transparent colors would lack that level of glowiness that makes the transparency worth having to begin with. The white Hero Cores are a bit of a disappointment for me, although I prefer them to the transparent Hero Cores of the first wave that didn't always match the head/eye colors of the heroes who wore them. Still, most of the heroes keep their previous core colors somewhere in their color scheme, even if it's just on their fantastic torso prints. Evo is completely without purple, which is sad, but it doesn't ruin his aesthetic or even his nostalgic appeal (given that fantastic helmet design that echoes his 2.0 helmet). One last thing that bothers me about the Hero sets is their height. All of them seem to have the same torso size as 2.0 and 3.0 heroes (based on my estimation, anyway), but the larger three have longer legs. Up to now the heroes have had quite realistic proportions for the most part and I hope this doesn't upset that. Thankfully, of course, the fact that shorter limb bones do still exist means that the gangly arms that tended to plague BIONICLE shouldn't be a problem for the most part. The villains are amazing, with exciting color schemes, diverse appearances, and in many cases unique builds. Black Phantom is pretty mundane compared to the smaller villains, but he still looks very cool. Not sure which villains would be highest on my personal wanted list, although I love the non-humanoid designs of Jawblade and Thornraxx (as well as Thornraxx's introduction of Dark Azure to the Hero Factory color palette). Overall the upcoming wave looks promising. Breez and Evo are my two favorite Hero designs, and Breez is definitely on my wanted list (I had Breez 2.0 and liked the design very much, and this one's Samus Aran-like armor is quite well-designed IMO). The Great Spirit DM
I for one love the return to the agori/Glatorian heads. Our new megavillain looks cool, but oddly farmiliar. I don't like how each one has a white core either. I also don't know if I like the aqua theme. And if that's not teal, I (and most of the rest of BZP) will be quite dissapointed! bioboy95
I think that the new heroes look so awesome that it doesn't matter whether they have the glatorian heads or not. I can't help but notice that the pictures are titled "Finalized". Either this will be the last line of heroes, or we'll have to wait for the noise level to reach 200% before they're released... ...Sorry, Megaman Star Force 3 joke. Anyways, both the heroes and the villains look amazing. For the previous lines, I only bought one or two, but I just might have to buy all of them this time around. I'll probably buy "Final Breez" first. Not because of any resemblance to Samus, but just because "Final Breez" seems to have a lot of new pieces. Plus, those swords are awesome. By the way, am I the only one who misread Toxic Reapa's name and instantly thought "That'ssssssssss a very nice quaza core you have there..."? Quote Togariku: What the- where did YOU come from?! It has nothing to do with the set names, which for the heroes are just their last names with no numbers (Furno, Breez, Rocka, etc). Also, I noticed in the high-res Breez pic that the lower halves of the launchers? The ones that look like Thornax Launchers? They're actually not-- the part at the end that holds the sphere is less angular, there is less of a gap between the "accordion joint" section and the hand pieces, and there is only a single axle hole as an attachment point rather than an axle hole and a pin hole. You can see some of these changes in Splitface's high-res picture, as well. I wonder if the design changes are purely aesthetic, or whether the new launcher will be better suited to firing Zamor Spheres (I have noticed that regular Thornax Launchers can have trouble firing Zamor Spheres sometimes, particularly on my Ninjago dragons). .:Ascenic:.
Logic dictates, that because I enjoy Jawblade's design, and am interested in sharks, I shall be getting him probably in multiple for a number of reasons:1. He is a shark.2. He has Red Furno 1.0 blades.3. He appears to be modeled somewhat after Great White Sharks, (Carcharodon carcharias), which I am fascinated about.4. His Shark-like design makes him unique in a world where creatures generally stand on legs, (Or have two eyes.)5. I think his color scheme fits him perfectly, given his apparent Carcharodon carcharias-based design.

Pridak for Prez
I have to admit that I am seriously thinking about getting the villians, especially jaw-blade. The fact alone he is a shark had him already sold. Like the design of split face, reminds my of a MOC I saw a while ago. (I think it was called Flipside?) The villians are pretty awesome. The Fire Lo- I mean Black Phantom, looks familiar. The Heros are either a hit or miss for me. I like Breez and the hero armor is looking great. On the otherhand, Furno and Surge look really cluttered. As if they threw on everything they could think of on them, blades, turbines, shields, handcuffs, launches, rockets. Yikes! I like the idea of handcuffs though, the perfect piece for a true cop and robber set up. Evo (yellow dude) looks really good armor wise, but the lack of a close-combat weapon stinks. I never liked the idea of sets having only launchers as weapons. (I am talking about YOU, Onua and Gali Mistika.) But all in all, looks good and I might buy my first HF set! Ehlekdude
Black Phantom is really cool, so are a couple of the Heroes. Toxic Reapa is okay, Splitface is kinda cool, like a cross between Two-face and Thunder. Thornraxx is okay, I guess. Jawblade isn't great, but not horrible either. Furno and Rocka are the best Heroes, Surge and Evo are too simple and Breez looks way too manly with those shoulders.
