Vorahk1Panrahk2
I just got back from Take Shelter, sort of a horror/drama about a man who's so convinced that an apocalyptic storm is coming that he obsesses over building a storm shelter. It was a very good movie. It's first and foremost a drama film, but the horror elements were well integrated into the story, providing appropriate tension and scares when necessary. And while I was initially skeptical about the ending, I now find it beautiful. The one problem is the pacing. I understand why it is the way it is, but some parts of the movie did drag a bit. It didn't bother me much (I certainly wasn't bored), but I could see an audience becoming quickly disinterested. Quote BZPRPG Profiles
SonicBOOM XS
Tron Legacy. I'm still waiting for Battlefield 3. No wait. Stryker055
The Dark Knight. It didn't seem as cool as the first time I watched it, but still a fantastic film. Malevolence
Hocus Pocus. It was on the telly. Bette Midler was terrific, and I must say that, as beautiful as Sarah Jessica Parker is, I've never seen her quite as beautiful as she was in this movie. LaputanMachine
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, a few days ago. In my opinion it was the best of the series. Quote For me, BIONICLE was an epic science fantasy saga with a deep and complex lore, and was best when it was exactly that in its later years. I'm not sorry if that offended you. ManiacToaLaco
Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. Not bad, best fight scenes in the series I think. But the first one was still the best. Watching Lord of the Rings on the weekend though. Again Those are the some of the best movies ever. Along with Indiana Jones. And pirates of the Caribbean. Dark_Stranger
I watched V for Vendetta for the second time yesterday. It suffers just a bit from a slight excess of political correctness, but next to the its many virtues, this flaw is minor to the point of nonexistence. In short, a true masterpiece of a film.
