Klanadack
Don't be mistaken, I mean canister-size sets, like the bohrok, rather that titans like Makuta and Sidorak. My favorites are the Rahkshi, I mean, come on, what's there not to like? They finally had knee joints, they introduced tons of new parts, and they had a new collectable, the kraata! Kazi the Matoran
Definitely the Rahkshi. I liked the Barraki though. They each had unique builds, lots of interesting new pieces, and interesting character backgrounds. Squid launchers were terrible though; not sure they thought those through well enough. They did get good range on them though, when the squid didn't pop out and whip your hand. <Reverb>
Breaking the streak of votes for the Rahkshi here. The Piraka of '06 were by far, in my opinion, where the best canister-size villians. They introduced a whole new darker side to Bionicle, and what's not to like about light-up eyes?
AdaptingChaos
I have to say the best year were the 2008 Makuta. I really liked how LEGO revealed to us many more Makuta in the Bionicle universe so it was really epic IMO.
airvortex
set-wise for me it was the Barraki, unique set builds FTW! story-wise still the Barraki, 6 Toa vs 6 One time warlords each with massive armies at their command... what's not to like? Hitoshura
For me, it would be either the Piraka or the Barraki. The Piraka had very interesting builds, and the Barraki even more. Don't get me wrong, the others were really nice as well, but these two get my pick. Quote profiles
The 1st Shadow
I'm gonna go with the Piraka on this one. Light up eyes, GITD teeth, dual-function weapons, and a projectile that didn't fly all the way to Africa when you launched it? How could you not love that? Mr. Cup of Fail
The best year of villains to me are the Piraka and come on there no way you say they suck. They have glow in the dark teeth and light up eyes and if you don't know I LOVE Glow in the Dark parts . The Piraka have color that bionicle didn't have yet at that time, like the sand green and sand blue, plus it is where the Zamor Launcher was born and i like using the Zamor Launcher more then the other this year. The Piraka have amazing weapons like my favorite Seismic Pickaxe from Avak. There mask/haeds look epic of gow it look and with the spine. ToaKapura1234
Bohrok-Kal FTW. No, just kidding/ I would say hmm 08 Makuta Phantoka. The Mistika Makuta looked like bugs. avak5
I'm not sure. I don't have many villains but my fav must be the Piraka. The double weapons, spines and the gangster-like look made me love them. I like visorak for their uniqeness too

Wazdakka
I actually only have very few villains, so I'll probably go with the Visorak. Quote Steam Name: Toa Hahli Mahri. Xbox Live Gamertag: Makuta. Cambion
set-wise, the Barraki were definitely my favorite, because they broke the clone pattern Bionicle had been following up until then. story-wise, the Kal were great. the loss of the Toa's elemental powers made for a great storyline--it gave the sense that for once, the Toa could very well lose. i also thought the Piraka were neat; their powers came way out of left field. ~ShadowBolt~
It's a toss up between the Rahkshi, Makuta, and the Barraki. I wanna go with the Rakhshi as they started the trend of canister sets having knee joints. Bionicle wasn't going to last beyond 03/04 if the sets couldn't bend their knees.
