I'm alone in a old house in rural Minnesota. There's creatures living in this house, let's call them bats. Bats have been known to forcibly enter my living space, but they have not been a problem since late summer.

I hear them. Above my skull and within my life. Creeping and scratching. Probing for weakness.

I shall not let this end in my defeat. I down a potion of strength. The scraping grows louder.

Nothing can kill me. I am eternal.

Today, is the day that I finally leave BZPower. The (many) reasons I prefer not to mention, because I don't want to annoy you.

The BIONICLE 2 game project is still on, you can follow it on both the RRU blog and the SM.com blog.

My Skype is guurahk203, if needed.

Stay tuned (mainly in SM.com) to check out on my newer and exciting projects!

  2. Hey all you MOCers!

You should send some cool MOCs to BFAL2014! We had a good turn-out last year, and I think we're already on track to surpass our numbers from last year! That's awesome.

Keep building things and don't forget to send them in! PM me for my address. :D

[send your mocs to BFAL emoji]

  3. So, while hunting for a Mawile, I found a shiny Solrock.

While cool, I wish it was a pokemon I would ever use again. :P

I was first introduced to BZPower through the BS01 wiki, which I had been visiting for a while before I joined this site. Today I have been on this forum for one year. It's been incredible, and even though I haven't been as active lately as I would like, I want to thank all the members and admins for making BZPower a cool place to be! I love what the admins have been doing recently to make BZP an even better place, and I hope that this site will flourish and live for a long while yet!

    :bzp:

  6. Vegans.

I like meat and eggs and milk far too much to be a vegan. But man, do I admire vegans. I have no idea how they keep up that diet. It looks so difficult! From not being able to buy bulk, because organic stuff goes bad quickly, to only being able to eat select few foods. I couldn't even imagine doing that for a month, let alone my life. So if any of you are vegans, I salute you.

  7. Recently, I've acquired the habit of shrieking things like "No! STAHP! STAHP THE DYING THING!" and "OTP FEEEEEEEELS!" at the TV.

On a completely unrelated note, Vance has been sitting further and further away from me with every new episode. Maybe I need to shower more or something.

  8. By almost a full month this time, I'm really bad at this lol. Makes me feel so old, though, seeing a spinny Tohu.

  9. blog-0635737001376723610.pngThe AccelePedia was once the largest Hot Wheels AcceleRacers / World Race wiki and community. For a few years, it remained a thriving place, but then a major data loss began to kill it off. When I recently realized the AccelePedia was near death, I knew I had to do something about it. So I proposed a plan for a complete and much needed overhaul of the site and forums and assembled a staff to help me with it. The site hasn't been updated since 2006, and the phpBB forums since 2007. That all changed today, when I installed IP.Board. If you are unfamiliar with what IP.Board is, it is the same exact forum software BZP runs on! The drastic change in AccelePedia's forums nearly brought tears to my eyes. My first online community finally has rebounded, after all these years. Aside from BZP, you won't find a better community than the AccelePedia anywhere on the internet. As a side note, BZP and AccelePedia actually share a few members aside from myself.

I invite you all to be a part of this rejuvenated community, whether you're a fan of Hotwheels and cars in general or not. Myself and my fellow staff members have worked extremely hard every single day preparing for this upgrade and the upcoming site upgrade for the past month and a half. And I kid you not when I say EVERY SINGLE DAY. So please, at least give the AccelePedia a look, and join if you like what you see. And please spread the word about the AccelePedia if you like it! We need all the members we can get!

You can visit the AccelePedia at: http://www.accelepedia.com/mb3

  10. Whatever just happened to my early teenage story, oh well. You will be missed because I didn't save you. :'(

Anyways, had plenty of fun at MakutaFest 2013 and talking it up for four hours and going on about Tuma for the majority of it. It'll be the last MakutaFest for me for at least the next two years, given it's still around then. Until the next time I'm there! :P

I like to use Scouts as bait.

If I have the Intel and know a Sniper is watching one of the two exit doors, I'll let a team mate Scout go first, get killed and quickly escape as the Sniper reloads.

  13. So hey, is BZPRPG still a thing? Like do people play that anymore or has it gone downhill or something or another?

Or should I just make sprite comics or whatever?

Man, what do the cool kids here do nowadays?

I'm going to lock this, as non premier members are not allowed to make blog entries unless they purchase premier membership.-Nukaya

... Then why make making blog entries an available function?

So, it's been almost six years (!) since I started working for LEGO. Yesterday was my last day with the company. So now I can actually post on BZPower again!

I'll probably be posting some reminiscences about my life in Denmark, and what I found it to be like to work for one of the best companies in the world. A year and a half in Denmark, four and a half years back in the US, and frequent travel. It was really the most excellent job I've ever had, and the BIONICLE portion of it was by far the best.

Short answer to "why I'm not with LEGO anymore": the position was relocated to the East Coast, and for various personal reasons (family mostly) I decided not to relocate. So we parted on amicable terms, LEGO and I.

Obviously I won't be posting any confidential, non-public info about the company, or talking about future products or anything like that. Mostly just my experiences working there, the friends I made, and what it was like for me to be able to do things like take tours of the molding halls, packaging areas, and so on. I also recently moved, and discovered just how MUCH memorabilia I've collected in the last few years. I think it might be a good idea to take some pictures and share with people who'd be interested.

I was also thinking of doing an AMAA (ask me almost anything) thread later, when i have some time. I'll announce that later.

  16. Anniversary Ramblings

Episode 2 - Choosing is Good (Unless You Do It)

“Choice....There is great power in choices."

This here is (half of) a quote you may hear from Flemeth while playing Dragon Age. Origins, of course, and not DA2. It's something I sat and thought about and decided to share some insight on, relating to certain games and to real life alike. Let's look then, shall we?

Frankly, some games give you quite a lot of options based on your choice. The aforementioned game has quite a few things that can occur differently according to your choices, and the possible endings are all decided based on what you did - from minor details like what that person is wearing, to major ones like who gets to rule the country and who lives... or dies.

Contrast this to more linear games. Bionicle: Heroes, for instance, since most people on here either know about it, or own a copy and have 100% completing (I did it twice). How does the game end, exactly? The same way every time. Minor differences based on play style, of course, but those don't really impact anything when you get right down to it, you know.

Even with Origins, though, some stuff is already decided for you. And in Heroes, those minor play style differences can play a part.

    What am I getting at?

Even when you have no real choice, you can still find your own way of doing things. How you execute the movements, in what order you do things. And when you have lots of options, you have to accept that some things are out of your control. What you do with circumstances beyond your control affects you as a person.

Even if the decision you make is a bad one, don't live with regrets. Embrace those mistakes and flaws. If that character in the game died or didn't drop the right item for you, you can reload. But you can't in real life, and you must be willing to accept that no, the shake machine at Del Taco is not working (I once went a really long time without having a milkshake, so I asked for one at a fast food place; twelve visits to assorted fast foods later, months later, every one had a broken shake machine)

So like the heading says - choice is good, unless you do it! But you've gotta live with those choices anyways.

A tad more sentimental and quite a bit shorter than my last rambling, I think.

Minor life lesson from a sixteen year old. It probably doesn't matter any and frankly has been said so many times that I'm now a walking cliche in every way (until the day this rhyme don't pay).

Goodbye blog. See you next year, if I'm still here.

  19. As BZPower's Anniversary Week is drawing to a close, I'd like to say thank you to those of you who have read my few pitiful blog entries. Since BZPower's advertising policy has changed, and since I'm looking to start an off-site blog anyway, I'll probably link to the blog on BZPower once it has been created.

In the immortal words of Tigger, "TTFN -- ta-ta for now!"

(P.S. Is it just me, or is it funny to see the amount of BZPower members saying, "Welp, can't link to my other sites here!"?)
