  1. Anybody started clearing off their display shelves for the 2016 Uniters yet? I'd like to keep them together. But since Kulta's already fallen foul of my Uber-MoC's need for CCBS, they're starting to look ripe for integration...
  2. Hate to be the party pooper, but we haven't seen these pieces yet...
  3. Make them all the same species. This is the universe where six-foot tall elemental warriors are the same species as hobbit-sized armoured people and barely-mobile hunched staff holders.
  4. The question was whether that meant the Rahkshi was blinded or merely visually impaired? Sure as Karzahni I'd be considered blind in any period of history before glasses were invented, but I wouldn't be completely blinded.
  5. By using the nystical and powerful element of "plot", that's how. Nobody found the Mask of Plot, or the Kanohi Narrativ, in G1. Even Teridax failed. However, it still waits to be found....
  6. Sight range. (12km on an earth-sized planet). The scope gives the user a better view of the distance, but is not an inherent part of the mask power. So kopaka using his scope was looking through the scope with the mask power on, not using the mask power to look through the scope.
  7. Heat is infrared radiation. So I suppose (since we're talking beams of heat rather than night vision) there's some method of producing high-intensity infrared radiation that uses the eyes, or areas close enough that it's even odds the same.
  8. Makuta-bones! Piraka and Rahkshi! Now I have to buy the small and medium sets to have all the awesome. At least the combiners this year were wimpy. Phoenix Tahu is just awesome, and I want to build it! But I need to save money. Piraka! Observation: does Umarak's mask/face look a bit like Kulta's mask? Perhaps Umarak is a living member of Kulta's species, and the species whose bones were used to make the other Skulls.
  9. Heat vision (at least with our eye-makeup) would overheat various parts of the eyeball temporarily, causing a decline. I'm not much of a camera person, but I'm sure significant amounts of heat damage cameras' quality as well.
  10. Take it from someone who is actually horribly shortsighted; weakened vision does not mean blinded. I am not blind without my glasses, but I'm incapable of reading and have tremendous difficulty making out clouds against a blue sky, let alone faces or a dark-armoured Toa hiding in shadows. That's more what I picture heat vision does; it robs the user's vision of details, colours or location while still leaving them able to see.
  11. Interesting intepretation. It does fit with TLC's ethos, and the MoCr was stated to be made out of gold and magic. Though how does creation mean enhancement?
  12. Don't have an office, but I have the Hannah crab sitting on my laptop over the camera, silently judging... I took my MoC to use in displays at a library I worked at, the giant dragon in the dinosaur display. The Sea Sled and To a for a vehicles display, etc.
  13. D&D's resurrection spells take a level off the revived character, so I can see that happening.
  14. One for each element. Somebody said somewhere there were more villages scattered throughout the Regions. Smaller and of the same elements, but more villages.
  15. Ekimu's shield exists, he just didn't have time to rebuild it during the fight with SG. LoSS is the literal mother of all Skull Spiders, which were twisted by SG's use of the MoCr. Lewa and Onua have a thing. That's right, a thing. The armour colours on the villagers are paint/pigments inherent in the armour. A villager could join another tribe and change their armour to match.
  16. Nobody was expecting a stunning piece of English literature to come out of 2015. Especially considering that this was the first third of the story. Patience, people. We got a good storyline for this year. Not fantastic, not horrible. Interesting, giving us a better 'young Toa' vibe than the Inika or Metru ever did. The Masters at this point are basically the earnest young kids (*cough*target audience*cough*) to G1's saviours of the universe. We have two more years before the Masters and G2 have to retire.
  17. OK, let's come back at the earthquake thing from a different angle; in Avatar:TLA or TLK, we see earthbenders (in no particular order) move people aside by moving the earth under them, knock people over by rippling the earth, spin people by turning the ground under them, and shake the ground as a side effect of using a lot of power. Taking those as a baseline for what 'earth control' can do, is it really hard to believe that Onua could shake the terrain to cause a localized tremor?
  18. I just suggested it as an idea. I'm sure there are other situations where the MoU would be necessary.
  19. MU inhabitants need to breathe, right? Here's a theoretical justification for the Mask of Undeath; Say some Toa manages to get outside the MU knowingly. They'd take along a MoU so that they can return to the MU if they die out there. After which the RS can revive them properly.
  20. "End" "Apocalypse" "Searer" (as opposed to the Shadowed One) "Wrath" "Depletion"
  21. How is translating stuff useless?Archeologists would like to have one.And why has no one yet mentioned the mask of flashlight(Ruru)? Because seeing in the dark is pretty handy.
  22. Or the armour colours within the Ancient City were a personal choice, but out out in the tribes it was different.
  23. '06 jumps out at me; the most powerful toa on MU go fight six random skakdi and lose. They are then made useless for an entire year because "the meanies took their masks". They didn't even play mentor to the newly-minted Inika, becuase heaven forbid they have the slightest chance of being more relevant than our new heroes (in store buy now).
  24. Well, almost time to disassemble the '15 Toa to make room for the '16 'Uniters'. I've already beefed up my Marendar MoC with Skull Grinder parts. LoSS is looking pretty shaky too, but he's adorable sitting on top of my TV threatening to eat the AGT judges... I want to experiment with those leg-ends, but I also like LoSS as a cool bug... Eeh! Maybe make Ekimu (who's safe from disassembly) ride LoSS like an Ussalry member and keep him together.
  25. Er... Have you watched the animations? That's what we knew at the beginning of the year. Now we know a fair bit more than that. Also, we are only a third of the way through the story.
