  1. Hmmm. In the system limit, I am. No attention, pay to the bricks on my face. Vote you shall...
  2. Then Takua would be slandered by nerds everywhere. I wish I had a steak with some A1 sauce right now.
  3. Lego designer: "Hey you here that Halo 5 is T-Rated now?" Concept Artist: "Sweat, maybe we can take the license away from Megablocks now! I'm going to draw up a piece of concept art for a CCBS elite!" Lego designer: "Awesome!" Concept Artist works on design... Lego designer comes back: "Hey bad news, corporate still says no on the Halo thing." Concept Artist: "Then what am I going to do with this?" Lego designer: "I don't know; slap some red paint on it and we will shove it into the Bionicle concept art bin..." To be honest, if Lego did produce a CCBS Elite, I would buy that up pretty quick...
  4. I'm kind of working on a Gen 2 version of Takua, Jaller, and Hahli. (My first attempt at a Gen 2 Takua is already on MOCpages: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/421075) I kind off have "adopted" Takua as a favorite character, especially because as a kid when I played MNOG the first time I was convinced I WAS the main character, and then I was surprised to realize that no I wasn't, and said character was a Matoran... I don't know if I'd dare call my new Gen 2 Takua a self MOC, but I still kind of identify with him. Because he is a non-conformist dork, that's why.
  5. Just finished listening to The Anarchist from Rush, Pork and Beans: from Weezer; and Moment of Surrender from U2 is what is now playing on my iTunes playlist.
  6. Well looks like someone edited the page to remove the Takadox/Kulta/G2 stuff. Jokes over it seems
  7. I build them, I display them, I take them apart and rebuild them. And sometimes I sit on the floor and play with them. Yeah, its still cool. I actually haven't been that much into Bionicle since 2007, but the arrival of the new sets changed all that... Nostalgia is a great factor in buying stuff. And in the hypothetical future when I would get married and have kids; if Bionicle is still around then you can guess my kids would be having some interesting birthday and Christmas presents!
  8. I hope so! I have a lot of the early 2000' Harry Potter sets, but I didn't buy any of the new stuff (other than the visual dictionary). I hope the line could be revived in two waves: 1) Fantastic Beasts Wave, 2) Classic Harry Potter Wave. I would definitely want a re-release Hogwarts, or an updated Hogwart's Express using the Emerald Night drive wheels (Power Functions perhaps?). Fantastic Beasts could have some cool stuff, it basically sounds like the film will be Gatsby meets Wizards. 1920's New York City could offer a lot of sets and locations.
  9. asdf movie reference? Or is it a legitimate hobby of yours? I know the difference between an SD-40N and a GP-7. I can tell you the current status of SP 4449, UP 844, and all the steam engines on the Heber Valley Railroad. Then there is this: "http://xboxtravis.rrpicturearchives.net/" .Also note my signature that I pulled from Eurobricks... Legitimate enough?
  10. Again the Kaukau gets a down vote. Both the Classic 2002 Nuva and the 2008 version are pretty bad. It took Lego 14 years from the release of the first Gali to finally give her a good mask again!
  11. Umm... its a picture. Of me. (Dodges tomatoes from those who use avatars as an artsy form of expression...) P.S. If you look at the picture though, you might get a subtle hint at my other interests...
  12. Wow, good find in the forum's older posts. Reading this story, its not a laugh out loud type comedy; but it is highly satirical. Toa Stardust (?) so perfectly capturesthe crazy whims of fandoms, the way she proclaimed to be Nuju/Ackar's daughter. Or the way she made Takanuva fall madly in love for no good reason. Or the fact she wears the Mask ofLife/Time! The best was seeing Onua and Pohatu super embarrassed when Stardust ordered them to be shipped! I'll hope for a new chapter, if not I'll imagine my own
  13. That swooshing GIF; laughing out loud! I like the design of this Tie fighter a lot, but since I already own 2012 model I don't have a big urge to get this new one. The difference between the 2012 and the 2015 Tie's is not nearly as pronounced as the difference between my 1999 X-wing and the newer sets.
  14. Gold, silver... It all just reminds me I don't have money to buy the whole 2016 wave on release! That's okay though, to be a good AFOL I have to spend my money on a modular or something and not these silly constraction figures . (Sarcasm , nobody please take me seriously; I will be getting the 2016 figs once the money is available! Especially Umarak, he'll look good with all the mule deer that like to wander in cities during the winter here in Utah [Hey shouldn't there be a poll about Umarak's blended mask too?])
  15. Imagine this, you have been given the option of moving to a location in the Bionicle story. You'll still be human though, and won't belong to any specific Matoran tribe; as such you can pick the scenery and your neighbors! Any location on the GSR, Spherus Magna, and Okoto's Planet are up for grabs, and if you can't pick one choose a few favorites. My Ideas: On Mata-Nui the area near Midak's hut looks nice to me. Some vegetation, a great desert nearby and some caves to explore. On Metru-Nui I would like Ga-Metru, looks pretty; but also very civilized and modern. On Okoto the lower tundra of the ice region sounds good to me. Edit: I wanted the topic title to say "Real Estate Available!" and not "Retail Available"! but I goofed up in writing it...
  16. Wow, Okoto just went from being Mata Nui's little brother; to the place that puts the MNOG to shame... (Maybe I'm exaggerating a little) Still, makes me want to get the PC game and try it out!
  17. Hewkii had a unique form too, while the six Toa Metru's Matoran form was also another model.
  18. As a kid I followed most of the books up until 2007 when I decided I just wasn't into it anymore. From then on out I got the story just through the comics, but even then I didn't follow it closely (I'm not sure, but I think I learned Matoro died in mid-2008!) The comics made sense, except for when the Glatorian story skipped a chunk for TLR. Last comic I was pretty content that the story came to a dramatic close. I was not aware that Greg had the serials and podcasts. I didn't know all that story until I googled it around 2013... And that's when things got confusing. But I wasn't that invested in Bionicle, so I kind of brushed it aside. Come 2015 though... New wave of Bionicle. amazing set designs. Then a pump of nostalgia that hit my AFOL heart. Next thing I know I'm back here and on BioSector01 trying to make sense of everything...
  19. Instead of a fight, a scheming Contest: Makuta Teridax vs. Emperor Sheev Palpatine! Who has the power to manipulate armies and nations better? Who can best manipulate the good guys? Is the Force as powerful as a planet sized robot? Who can be the most evil?! Find out tonight, at the Staples Center!
  20. Poor Kongu; the Le-Toa who couldn't fly. He just has to stick to watching Hahli and Nuparu do it!
  21. ^Thats why I'm Bricklinking parts for G2 style Takua, Jaller, and Hahli right now. G2 stylize everyone!
