  1. I couldn't tell you myself, but now you've got me curious. I personally like different types of Asian traditional music (including Korean), so that would be pretty cool. On the subject of Korean rock, I particularly like this group called Guyz. They did the opening theme for the Korean dub of Bleach, and they can sing in Japanese as well. I love that they have that J-rock soudn I used to love in high school, but with the sound of the Korean language. Never heard of Norazo, but I was a huge Big Bang fan in 2012-2013ish. I'll still jam to them.
  2. Still think it sounds French, while also sounding like a fantasy elf name. French elf, perhaps?
  3. Red Star-charged Toa of Light. Honestly can't say I've seen that before. I like the figure itself. Nice armor piece choices, and unique weapon. (I don't think I've ever seen a Toa with a plain old staff as a weapon.) I like the martial artist vibes I get from this guy, I don't recall Bionicle having anything like that. I remember seeing somewhere that Av-Matoran supposedly have a higher ratio of Matoran who are destined to become Toa, but I always thought it was weird that Takanuva is the only canon one. In other words, I like seeing more Light Toa.
  4. 3/5 Makes me think of Life Is Strange. I like the sound, but it's not really my thing.
  5. 4/5 Man, brings me back to my J-rock days. Good times. Only a 4 though because while I love this style of sound, I've heard many like it before. Anyway, let's do a Vietnamese song.
  6. Lắng Nghe Tim Em - Đông Nhi (yep, a Vietnamese song)
  7. A 90s Korean song from a 90s movie that is about Japan and not Korea. I don't care that this song has more 90s cheese than Sonic the Hedgehog wearing Jnco Jeans and playing with a Tamagotchi while listening to Vanilla Ice on a Walkman, I love it.
  8. Like I've said, I respect TWICE. I like a few of their songs, but I just don't see what makes them revolutionary compared to past groups, besides maybe being more diverse (having 3 Japanese members and a Taiwanese member). Fun fact: In the movie 3 Ninjas Kick Back, the music they use to establish the Japanese setting is Korean, not Japanese. So if you're a 90s kid who saw that movie, you've been exposed to K-pop long before the Hallyu Wave. Word has it that one of the producers was Korean and wanted to expose Americans to Korean music. Some of those old 90s Korean songs are jams. Sure they're full of more 90s cheese than Will Smith and Jaleel White trading Pogs with the Saved By The Bell cast, but I love 'em.
  9. I get what you're trying to go for, and I completely understand you just wanted to build a CCBS Takanuva, so I'm not gonna criticize the lack of original building. That being said, there's room for improvement here. Main gripe is that literally only his lower legs and feet are the only white parts of his body here. G1 Takanuva has always had a primarily white body with his only other major color being his armor. I get that this isn't G1, but if you're trying to go for something that's more recognizably Takanuva, I'd recommend using significantly more white parts. At the very least, I think his arms should be white too, not just his legs. I guess I'll commend the use of Onua's mask, considering Takua used to wear a Pakari before he transformed. Was that what you were going for? Nice little reference there if so. Though I can see why others would have a problem with just blatantly using Onua's mask, I'm okay with it. I'd keep the gold armor, since that was always Taka's thing. Good call there. The short version: Needs way more white parts, but keep the gold armor, and I'm pretty okay with the choice of mask.
  10. A descriptive fantasy-sounding name for a Toa of Iron.
  11. A green mask. If I put it on, do I get maracas that go chick-chicky-boom chick-chicky-boom?
  12. Ooh, which Gundam? I'm curious. Some of them do transform into space fighters, like the Zeta, or the ones Athrun used in SEED Destiny.
  13. You end all the stress in this life...then you get reincarnated with all memories of this life, and this next life is full of stress. You spend your days longing for your previous stress-free life. I wish I had a perfect memory of every non-nightmare dream I've ever had in my life.
  14. Had a weird one last night. I was part of a post-apocalyptic resistance army with my friend from college. Sometimes she and I would just leave the base for a bit to climb on stuff Assassin's Creed style when we just needed to clear our heads. We started falling for each other while we were doing this. It was painfully obvious that we both liked each other in the final act of the dream, but when people would ask if we were dating, we'd both deny it. We made a successful final stand against our enemy (some ill-defined monsters that ravaged the country or whatever), so she and I were gonna celebrate by making it official. Then I woke up. For a second, I was disappointed, but then reality hit and whatever romantic feelings I had for her in the dream were gone IRL. IRL I've been thinking about her a lot lately, though in less of a romantic way and more of a "we should hang out more" way. I do wonder if this dream is telling me anything.
  15. "머리, 어깨, 무릎, 발, swag, check, swag, check..." Me too, my friend. Me too. But anyway, to stay on topic, I'm actually listening to the first level theme from the NES game City Connection. And now I wanna switch to Crayon. I literally have not heard that song in years and I'm feeling nostalgic.
  16. Cue the anime elitists and their pitchforks. But in that case let's talk Saint Seiya dubs. I used to watch the "Knights of the Zodiac" dub on Toonami. Despite changing Saori to Sienna and changing Saints to Knights (though this one I can understand), I do recall their name pronunciations for the Saints/Knights themselves was alright, and they kept the "Cloth" terminology. And I'm gonna be real honest here, I still dig Bowling For Soup's cover of I Ran. On the other hand, I gave ADV's dub a chance a long time ago, and while I appreciate that they didn't censor and cut things like Cartoon Network did, I remember being miffed that they didn't translate "Cloth" and just called it armor, and how most of the names were pronounced wrong. ("Say-OH-ri"? "HIGH-oh-ga"? Really?) I haven't really kept up with Saint Seiya in years, so I don't know if any other dubs were made of the series. I just know they put some OVAs on Netflix at some point.
  17. I like Vakama Horkida (sic)!!!! (reference to way back when BZP first introduced the spoiler tag and how not to use it)
  18. While I hate most of Psy's post-Gangnam Style stuff, I do like Daddy myself. Good choice of a favorite 2NE1 song. I just adore their entire Crush album too, though. I know quite a few people felt those songs all sounded the same and weren't great, but personally I love that album. What shame should there be in liking Girls Generation? If anyone has a problem with you liking them, that's entirely on them, not you. I love them! You seem to gravitate towards girl groups, so I can help you there. 2NE1 is disbanded now, but I'd give their successor group Blackpink a chance. Their style isn't identical to 2NE1, but I can definitely see the influences. If you like Girls Generation's style, I'd give f(x) and Red Velvet a chance. They're both from the same label. Red Velvet's two recent singles (Peek-A-Boo and Bad Boy) are my jams. One of f(x)'s members is former Girls Generation member Jessica's younger sister, but personally my favorite member is their rapper Amber. She just seems like someone I'd wanna hang with.
