I do agree that you need a better portrayal next time, JiMing.

 

For the record though, I intended to steal the show this time. And given that I had unique, authentic weapons, the distinctive persona, and success for most of the game, killing 2 people and surviving multiple assassination attempts, including 3 on the same night, I think I succeeded.

Oh, everyone loves the Joker, so that doesn't hurt. What does hurt is Baltarc was the savior of that scene while I was the stupid amateur who never thought ahead.

 

Next time, I don't want to fail because I was too stupid to see the obvious mistake. Heck, all I want is some common sense! Who would shout at the person they're trying to kill before they kill them?! Haven't seen anyone else treated like that...

Well, you ARE dealing with The Joker. Most people would fail, and you did kill 2 people with that grenade, so you kinda beat everyone else there in terms of bodycount. Also, Pulse made the bigger mistake of keeping me alive when I was vulnerable to being killed.

Killing two nameless mooks is not a thing to be proud of. I let the first scene off with 'hey I'm not a newbie alright', but the second scene, I slip on the floor and knock myself out three feet away from Dapper. That is just freaking ridiculous.

 

It wasn't enough to be bullied in real life, now I have become the butt monkey here and in Bionifight. Lovely.

Considering Pulse didn't kill anyone, and got punched away after a few seconds, even letting me make a joke, you did better than him. It was my apparent acrobatics that saved me, not your incompetence. The scene after, you were treated badly there, though. I agree with that. I didn't do that good originally, either, mind you. I'm only doing well now due to having my own game to write whatever I want in 0.3, being The Joker here, and having an important piece of information to taunt the players with in Mafia XI. If you actually had the chance to appear in a scene in 0.3, I'd have treated you well, there.

The entire point of the game is for people who fail at killings to seem incompetent. Heck, every time someone fails, they pretty much just say "Well, I wasn't expecting that," stare at their would-be victim awkwardly, and walk off. On top of that, in game one, I was a strangled glutton, and in games 2 and 3, I was decapitated unceremoniously. In 3, I was also a cocky pushover, and in 2, worst of all, I was a sports fan.

Needing a new ball, Pupwa decided to ask Pulsating Explosive for one. "Sure," Pulse says, "you can have this one." Then, whipping out a knife that was not ball-shaped in the least, Pulse lunged towards Pupwa, only to be met with a hearty smack across the face. Shaking his head at Pulse's inability, Pupwa wrenched the actual golf ball from Pulse's grasp and went on to score a hole-in-one.

Pulse sat on the ground, head in his hands, ashamed. Commander Viral walked up, also shaking his head. "That was pathetic, Pulse," he said matter-of-factly, and, using his wire, promptly put an end to Pulse's misery.

 

Yeah. You thought that last scene was bad? =P

Actually, it was because I screamed at you beforehand that made the killing fail. So the scene was still my fault.

Then how come Baltarc was such an awesome assassin when he succeeded? And at least you weren't a completely incompetent and useless assassin who can't even set up the kill correctly. I get that it's supposed to be my fault for not setting up the correct kill, but the scenes just take that up to eleven.

Obviously I was Immune to Poison, being The Joker, and I make the weapon that killed me the game before my highest resistance. Most other stuff moves one down, and generally I'm killed by my Achilles heel anyway, so I just move them down.

I actually generally kept the same stats throughout the three games.. besides swapping two resistances..

I think it's because I haven't played from the beginning, making you think of me as a newbie. However, I did see the first game, played in the second (albeit I failed but so did all the other Order members), and have been here. And I'd be less bitter if other players weren't portrayed better. Baltarc completely stole the show last time, being a complete and total bad(butt), and also saving me. However, I was portrayed the last two times as dumb, called a 'squire', and even suffered slapstick humor this round. In fact, the one scene I succeeded I wasn't even portrayed! I've grown up being bullied and suffered from self-esteem issues my entire life. Having someone on the internet make a bumbling fool out of my character doesn't help. I know I probably make dumb decisions all the time, but this game is very hard to predict. I also know other players probably haven't been treated better, but being a butt monkey in nearly every scene leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If this is how future hosts will treat me then I do not wish to play anymore.

 

I don't need to be the most skilled and epic assassin, but I'd at least like to have a shred of dignity seeing myself being portrayed. And I'm sorry to say but 'it's not personal' isn't good enough for me. Bullies never have anything personal with me, yet it hurts anyways. Years and years of mockery and emotional warfare makes little things like this that much worse.

I'm sorry to hear about your history with bullying. As someone who used to struggle with self-esteem issues, I can certainly empathize with the pain and frustration you may be feeling.

 

That being said, my treatment of your character has not constituted bullying, and I apologize if it has come across as such. I strive to make the summaries for each round light-hearted and enjoyable, and sometimes that means injecting a little humor. I'm sorry if some of that humor has come at the expense of your character's dignity. I'm being completely honest when I say that any disrespect towards your character was unintentional. As Chro humorously pointed out, I tend to portray successful assassins as awesome and unsuccessful assassins as buffoons. It's just the nature of the game, and it's all meant in good fun. In any case, your emotional needs have been duly noted and I will be sure to cater to them in the future.

Round 6 Summary

Dusk fell on the Odinan skyline as the sixth day of the Assassin Olympics started drawing to an end. The whole day had nearly gone by, but with the night came the murderers, with their minds steeled and hands ready to practice their deadly, artful craft.

Pulsating Explosive kicked off the carnage, as he stealthily stalked his chosen prey: the crowd favorite, JiMing. Spying his target in a nearby casino, Pulse entered casually, collecting a cache of chips and sitting down at a blackjack table adjacent to JiMing, who was busy playing his fifth round of roulette. Pulse waited patiently, until he heard the roulette table erupt in a cacophony of jovial shouts and dejected moans, indicating that the round was over. Stepping up, Pulse reached into his coat pocket, his fingers wrapping around his precious Winchester knife.

But Pulse wasn't the only one with his eyes on JiMing that night; in the same casino, seated at a nearby five-card stud table, sat Baltarc. He noticed Pulse advancing on JiMing, and correctly guessed his intentions. Excusing himself from the game, he stood up quickly and strode over towards the roulette table, his right hand in his pants pocket clutching his trusty wire.

The two assassins converged on their target, arriving at the table nearly at the same time. Before they could act out on their murderous thoughts, however, there was a loud pop and the entire table was suddenly flooded with smoke. Choking on the sudden influx of gas, Baltarc and Pulsating Explosive stumbled backwards. Baltarc was laid out on the ground with a roundhouse kick to the face from JiMing. Pulse, on the other hand, was not so lucky, as his face was met with a hail of bullets from JiMing's concealed SMG.

Stepping over his stalkers' incapacitated bodies, JiMing calmly collected his winnings and headed towards the casino's exit. "5,000 widgets," he mused, as he walked out of the building to his awaiting limousine. "Not too shabby."

Jiming I don't know who upvoted my post either but perhaps that should say something. I don't think anyone truly dislikes you but I am sure there are those of us who dislike how you play the 'Victim' alot. And Yes we know you went through Bullying. But I'm sorry almost every single person in this world has gone through bullying at one point. Some worst than others. Heck i am sure if we took a poll it right now most of bzpower would likely admit they have been bullied. And I am sorry to hear you were bullied but there is a separation. No one here is targeting you and I am fairly bloody certain the host wasn't targeting you either.

 

You just seem to take things too personal and I'm sorry but someone had to say it. I have kept my mouth shut through this whole topic but no more. If you not prepared to play a game where everyone targets everyone else then don't. But you know what this game is about. As such complain when people place bounties on your character. It is a part of the game.

Look, I didn't expect to be the star of the show that post. All I wanted was to stop being the laughingstock character. I feel a little uncomfortable with all the praise that post had too, alright?

And I wasn't complaining about anything. I just noted how the others this round started targeting me for various things. You're just trying to find even more fault in me. I complained a little too much, okay? I said it. But I succumbed to emotion. I try to be as level-headed as possible, but it happens.

I agree fully with what Blade has said. Make your future what you want it. If i let the past make my future I would be dead right now. And that i am not exaggerating about. But we must choose our own futures.

I am not perfect. I'm no god, not the pinnacle of human evolution, nothing like that. In fact, I do have an inferiority complex and self-esteem issues. Whenever they pop up, I react angrily, riling people and causing them to dislike me. It's a problem I've had for as long as I can remember, and I admit I've fallen into the wrong to a degree. Do I deserve this? I can't speak for your opinions, make of me what you will.

 

And you were, maybe not intentionally, but you were. I jokingly noted I understood Pulse's logic, but didn't agree with the dying part that could follow. You took that and used my words as a weapon to slander me further.

Emotion is good, though. It means you're not just a robot. But we're trying to explain that we don't hate you.We don't dislike you; and we're not trying to find fault in you. But you have to actually realize that, or that will not help anything.

 

I keep wondering if I'm worth things, because all I tend to do ends up having something happen. But every time, I'm proven wrong. So I realized after a while, that what I really need to do, is have some faith in myself. If you have faith in yourself, and can shrug yourself off, you'll enjoy things a lot more. =) But don't just shrug off everyone, as that'll backfire against you a lot.

 

/EDIT: No-one deserves bad things to happen to them. No-one deserves to feel like they're useless, and I know that from personal experience. But they also don't deserve to let that rule their life in any way, and if a lot of people hated momentary attitudes, then a lot of people would have a lot less friends.
