DeLaSouth
Animorphisisi-... whatever. The most obvious would be the Mistika (mosquito, beetle, stick-insect-thing)post them here.Like Zaktan. Looks like a gator. With his feet, teeth, chin, spine, legs, colour scheme, pretty much everything about him is an alligator. Or a crocadile. I don't know the difference.Bahrag look like T-Rex.This is a stretch, but to me, Onewa & Whenua Hordika look like Sloths to me, with the drooped faces, colour schemes and big low-hanging arms. Peach 00
Obviously Spinax (guard dog), the Visorak, (spiders) Fenrakk (spider; Kardas Dragon as well, looking of course like a dragon), and the Rahkshi have an animal look about them, kind of snakelike. As well, Vezok is kind of like an animal-like beast to be honest. () Quote On the day the wall came down / They threw the locks onto the ground And with glasses high / We raised a cry / For freedom had arrived On the day the wall came down / The ship of fools had finally run aground Promises lit up the night / Like paper doves in flight I dreamed you had left my side / No warmth, not even pride remained And even though you needed me / It was clear that I could not do a thing for you Now life devalues day by day / As friends and neighbors turn away And there's a change that even with regret / Cannot be undone Now frontiers shift like desert sands / While nations wash their bloodied hands Of loyalty, of history / In shades of grey I woke to the sound of drums / The music played, the morning sun streamed in I turned and I looked at you / And all but the bitter residues slipped away slipped away... Sumiki
The Barraki looked sort-of like animals. I know their intention was to portray predators of the sea, but I didn't see "shark" in Pridak. Carapar looked like a crab, Mantax was a manta ray (fitting), and Takadox, for some inane reason, looked like a glowing preying mantis, but only three out of the six looked like the legit animals they were based upon. Kalmah didn't look much like a squid, and I really couldn't see the "eel" in Pridak.2007 was a good year in that regard, because Spinax was possibly the best animalistic set, even if he was only half a set - and he did look like kind of a chimaera of a dog and some spiny sea urchin - but I could see "animal" in Spinax so much more than I could for the Barraki. As far as the people listing the Visorak and Fenrakk as "spiders" go, I can see the resemblance, but I can't list them as "sets that look like animals". For one thing, spiders have eight legs, and the Visorak (and Fenrakk) have only four legs. The Visorak had oversized mandibles, but their carapace was solid, as a real spider. Fenrakk, though, I can barely defend that. No real "carapace", the mouth of a dragon (it always did look better on Kardas), and of course, half the legs needed. BioGio
Spinax was probably the set that looked most like a real animal at a quick glance, although my favorite animal-based sets were the Nui-Jaga. When it comes to canister sets that looked like an animal after which they were modeled, Vamprah was a very clever design, I thought, looking probably the most like a stylized bat, with his tiny feet and clawed wings. As for the Mistika, Krika being some sort of predatory mantis I also understand, and I also liked the mosquito theme of Gorast, which was even executed in the Kanohi; however, I could never really see Bitil as anything. Kalmah didn't look much like a squid, and I really couldn't see the "eel" in Pridak. The Barraki were probably my favorite canister sets with animal appearances; I'm oddly partial to Carapar (especially when slightly modified to be more symmetrical.) I agree that Pridak, Kalmah, and Ehlek did not have clear themes, but overall the nearly-animal nature of the Barraki was executed well.~ BioGio Quote dig "You're a scientist? Tech Warrior
How do you forget about Pewku and Gukko? They were obviously suppose to be a crab and a bird, respectively.Nivawk was a cleverly-designed bird as well.Kikanalo looked as if it were to be some kind of bull?Gadunka is a funny-looking fish in my opinion. And Skrimix? Is he suppose to be a dragon?Everyone above me pretty much named the rest. Tarduk, Zesk, Vorox, etc. may be considered animal-like as well. Quote I AM A TOA OF SOUND. BioGio
Oh, yeah, Pewku and the Gukko were well-designed, but I never came into possession of either. However, I don't think that Nivawk was the best in design, although it was obviously a bird; and the Kikanalo were slightly too bipedal for my tastes.~ BioGio Quote dig "You're a scientist?
