IC: Kitala: Great Library:"Oh, my name is Kitala," She said, sounding slightly like she had thought Quorvex had known who she was. Not that she was egotistical, it was simply because she hadn't thought the Matoran was asking strangers to come along on his expedition.

IC: Su'un Kanad - Takea TankardsSu'un gave the Prime a sad smile, "It was a wonderful place to live. Before the war."He took another drink, "Years ago, there was a massive civil war on that island, between the Trytan government and a rebel group. I was drafted into the military early in the war.""We didn't win. Everyone on our side was either executed, enslaved, or exiled. I was one of the lucky ones, who only got banished over to here."-Void

IC: SalvinnNow it was Salvinn who was insulted. "Complete lack of remorse for another being's death you say. Death is never something any one should have to bear witness to." Memories flashed through Salvinn's head of his time on Moroni, quite a few were of the gruesome deaths he had witnessed being perpetrated by the criminals. "However if you expect us to leap to the aid of beings who kidnap us, and then coerce us to help them. You are sorely mistaken. A true warrior needs a cause to rally behind. You can not force that cause on anyone, and for the time being my cause is to protect this crew." "So, that fight, was never a battle between 2 parties. No, there was a third party involved, us, and yes we were trying to escape, but who wouldn't." Salvinn finished.

IC (Great Library): "Very well Toa Kitala," Quorvex said. While it might have appeared that he was a bit too quick to trust Kitala, he actually had his reasons, even after his little incident in front of the library. If she had actually been rogue, it would have been unlikely for her to hide her identity in a place that frequented by other Toa and Turaga. Whether she was with the Council or the Order, Quorvex didn't particularly care; neither group would seek to bring harm to a matoran if he wasn't doing anything wrong, so he would be safe.*"So I now have an explosives expert, at least one bodyguard, and a scholar," Quorvex muttered, "Unless there is something else you need to discuss; would you happen to know that Toa of... Psionics I think, in the corner over there?"He pointed towards Lalar, who now appeared to be drifting off to sleep.OOC: *And this is totally not because Quorvex's player is trying to get through the recruitment process as quickly as possible because the GM asked for a time-skip. :P

IC: Takea TankardsXerxes frowned slightly. He had lost people he loved to war. The only reason he hadn't been in actual combat was the fact he had such skill with woodwork. The military on his home island would use him, along with the other carpenters and lumberjacks of the island to build weapons of war. "Sorry to hear that." He said in sympathy. "War is a terrible thing, a waste of lives and talent."Yasoth, her drink in hand, smiled at Dralack once more. "I'm Senlisa," She said in a friendly, if somewhat dignified tone that most Vortixx used. "I'm sorry if this is rude, I just couldn't help that you seemed deep in thought. I've always been a curious person, so I couldn't help but ask what you were thinking of." She said, her smile and demeanor making her intrusion seem trivial.

IC: Dralack Illu - Takea TankardsDralack glanced over, automatically sizing up the newcomer. She was a Vortixx, much like him, in an elegant dress, whose very dignified voice fit in with the stereotypical demeanour of the species."Nothing of great importance, Senlisa," he lied effortlessly, concealing his true thoughts with a broad, if slightly cold smile, "What about you? What brings a being such as you, to a place like this?"IC: Su'un Kanad - Takea TankardsThe Trytan shrugged, trying to appear non-chalant, despite the still-raw feelings of sorrow which boiled inside of him."I just miss Tryta," he said, staring into his drink, "This island is nice, but... it isn't the same."IC: Doriana Calam - Azure ThunderThe Toa of Magnetism dropped the last of the boxes into the ship's store, before turning to face the rest of the crew."Way to say it, Arkrak," she said brightly, "Let's get a move one, already!"-Void

IC: Takea Tankards"Salted grounds and ruined cities." Xerxes murmured. "I've seen the like. Gives one a hollow feeling, seeing the beauty of one civilization destroyed by another." "If you're refering to this city, boredom." Yasoth said, her face contorting into a smile equally, if not colder than Dralack's. "This tavern, casual interest. I enjoy exploring the dark corners of this city, seeing the unseen or forgotten."

IC-Netinalev:Slowly, as though he could barely walk, a young Toa of Stone walked out into the bustling crowd of the early-morning at Sakrinil. He had two escorts behind him to help him if he needed it, calling themselves the "Xankah Order." Slowly he exerted control over himself, keeping his heartbeat and his breathing low and calm, in order that he might better grok with his environment. And from that grokking, he would be able to cherish and admire that which he saw. With a small smile, he took another few stumbling steps, constantly looking about himself.

OOC: I've been running into writer's block. This should not be happening...IC (Great Library): "That's all," Quorvex said, "Thank you, again." As he walked towards the other Toa, his thoughts wandered to Sarillia. She was going to flip when she saw his list of recruits; at this rate he would have enough elemental power to level five cities, in theory. Although, since there was the possibility of fighting a 'toa' just one step below the Great Beings, he felt necessity for the number of Toa.As he walked closer to the Toa, he realized that if Tanika didn't know her, then she was probably a member of the opposite faction. Not that he cared, but the pair of them were just going to have to deal with it if any of them were uncomfortable with the situation."Excuse me ma'am," Quorvex said to Lalar, "But may I ask you as to what you're currently doing?"

OOC: I'm feeling like posting as Alfon is a chore now...not good. IC: Alfon (Misty Island)Alfon stared at Lesvera as if she was joking, making a bunch of this mumbo jumbo up but strange flapping noises getting louder by the second was enough incentive for the Prime to turn tail and get ready to make a run for it."Ladies. Gentlemen. Run."And with that, the 'captain' turned tail and broke into a sprint but not fast enough to completely lose his group. He was headed back in the direction they came from while keeping a lookout for any natural shelter which could shield them from their possibly flying doom.

IC: Flying Creatures / Misty IslandOne of the flying horrors swooped past Alfon, narrowly missing his head as it swooped past and rapidly turned, landing in front of the group and advancing on them. Four were beginning to follow suit, swooping in from every direction to form a five-pointed shell around the group.OOC: Don't worry, they're a lot weaker than the guys on the other island. If the writing is feeling like a chore, than I'm obviously doing something wrong, so what is it Wade?-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

OOC: It's not you Lev, it's me. Definitely not you, you're doing a fantastic job. Just been really busy and tired lately...I should have said writing in general was feeling like a chore. Sorry.IC: Alfon (Misty Island)But Alfon didn't stop running. In fact, he bolstered his speed to the natural capabilities of his species on the spot right before disappearing into thin air soundlessly, confusing the creature. However faster than it could register what just occurred, a fist impacted into its face in an attempt to stun it in the least. His sword wasn't drawn as he began to ran so it would have to do.

IC: (Misty Island) -Kaladin took Afon's advice. The Ga-Matoran doctor charged back towards the ship, turning his head only a brief second to watch as Alfon. . .punched one of the flying monsters in the face? Well, that's efficient, he thought, a acerbic tone creeping across his mind. And now we're all going to die. Great. Just great.

IC: Keran | Misty IslandIf there was one thing Keran knew how to do, it was run. Granted, he preferred less flat terrain, but that didn't have to stop him darting out after the others. What did slow him down was the arrival of even more flying beasts. He stopped on the spot, looked up and frowned. This had the makings of more bloodshed. Maybe he could scare them away if he made the skies too unfriendly, avoid all that trouble. With that in mind he drew his bow off his back and, with a flick of the wrist, snapped it into shape as a double-bladed staff, which he stabbed into the ground. He began working it around - moving it in circles, like stirring a pot, and focusing on the air above their heads. The winds picked up immediately, following his motions, faster and faster. If the winged things were smart they'd extricate themselves before it became impossible to escape the current. And if not, well, the winds didn't touch the ground at his insistence so at least the group could still get away.^^H-D^^

OOC: Summer rains suck. Summer lightning is pretty though.IC: Flying Creatures / Misty IslandThe few other creatures hovering above the mist began to disperse as Keran generated the wind, but the five that had landed were quite content on the ground and not so easily swayed. One of the beasts lunged forward, attempting to tackle Keran and deliver a nasty - and fatally poisonous - bite. If that didn't work, the rending claws would have to do.OOC: If one of these things bites your character, they will die without poison immunity or some way to cure it. Perhaps using Toa Power, but that's about it. So avoid letting your character get bit. The claws are safe, though. Relatively.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

IC (Misty Island): "Wait, Alfon!" Lesvera tried to yell before the Prime ran, "Leading them to the ship could be..!"Of course the 'fearless' leader was already gone before she had a chance to finish."...bad. Well great."With little choice, she followed behind everyone else, hanging back slightly to make sure that the matoran were okay. Kaladin seemed to be making good progress, but she wasn't sure about Nivigate. As she tried to guide the matoran, she noticed that Keran had stopped and was now trying to scare the other rahi away, for lack of a better term. As squeamish as he might have been, the air Toa didn't lack skill or power. However, while he was maintaining his cyclone, she noticed one of the rahi was charging at him with its mouth wide open. She didn't have enough speed to close the distance in time and she couldn't guarantee that one of her crossbow bolts could stop the creature. Concentrating, she stretched out her arm and sent a blast of water at the monster, hoping to deflect it away from Keran. This was the first time were she had shown her control over water so obviously. During the fight with the sea rahi when they first arrived, she had simply written off her abilities to the others by saying that she had "a really good eye."

OOC: Hey, someone want to join up with Sollin?IC: Kitala: Sakrinil:Kitala stepped out of the Great Library. She, of course, lived only a minute or two away from the building, and was at her house in no time. Grabbing a bag, she set a few spare throwing knives into it, then several of her favorite books. She was about to go to sleep, when she remembered that she should notify someone from the Council that she was leaving. She walked back out the door, and headed toward the Council Chambers.

IC: TanikaAs Tanika walked back to the library he saw another toa head into the council building ‘That reminds me’ Tanika thought. ‘I should probably tell the council where I’m going.’ Tanika didn’t know if he was supposed to tell the council when he went on a mission so he decided to ask the toa who was already going there. “Excuse me, but do you know if I’m supposed to tell the council before I go on a mission?” Tanika asked Kitala. “I’m new here”IC: NivigateNivigate rode his crab along with the group, keeping far enough ahead of Lesvera to be out of the way, but close enough to still be directed by her. When the rahi attacked Nivigate thought of a plan; he had his crab start its drills spinning, (like the ones the crabs in the mines had in MNOG1) spinning faster and faster, creating a sound too high pitched for the others too hear but it would drive the rahi insane, and hopefully drive it away.

IC: DiomiThe creature attack Keran would also find itself being telekentically grabbed, and almost crushed from force coming in on every side. It wouldn't be fatal, but it would, without doubt, hurt. As Diomi did this, she ran with the others, her Nagimaki in hand.

IC: Alfon (Misty Island)Swiftly, Alfon pulled out his dagger within the few seconds of the beast's daze from his punch. Unfortunately, it didn't last long enough for him to assault the Rahi from the front without getting clawed up and chewed out. From what the Prime could see, his foe couldn't smell him or just didn't pick up on his scent yet, sparing him a few seconds before it begun snooping around for anything. Slowly and carefully, he raised his arm and switched his hold on the knife, handling it by the end of the blade. When it was high enough, he threw the dagger with a quick flick of his forearm and wrist, the weapon suddenly bursting into existence as it left his hand, flipping through the air towards the Rahi.

IC: Keran | Misty IslandFor a moment Keran honestly thought he was going to get a first-hand lesson in toxicology, but just as he let up his cyclone and moved to interpose his staff between himself and the rahi, a jet of water hit it seemingly out of nowhere. Just as it was recovering from that, the beast seized up right in front of him. Taking the opportunity to back off, Keran looked around for the source and found it in Diomi - a Toa of Psionics, of course! An idea began to form in his head. The Toa of Air planted his staff back in the ground and focused again, but this time not on his elemental powers. He reached out through his mask and, in his mind's eye, found all the rahi on the ground, including the one being held. Using the Kanohi Garai he quickly shifted the gravitic pull on all of them, made easier by the fact that this time he honestly wasn't too concerned for their wellbeing, unlike with Lesvera before. Before long they weighed less than the air itself.Keran called out aloud, "Diomi! Toss'em up!" It should be easy to move them without any real weight, and once all the birds were back in the air they could work together on sending them all packing.^^H-D^^

OOC: @ Takanuvainika; Your crabs do not have drills and will never have drills until they invent crab drills.IC: Flying Creatures / Misty IslandThe blast of water Lesvera released nailed the creature assaulting Keran, sending it reeling back. It didn't seem injured, but it wasn't happy about the situation in the least. It lunged forward before suddenly stopping, standing completely still as it was telekinetically held (Diomi see Pargraph 2).One of the creatures, quite upset watching its fellow being taken out so easily, lunged quickly before Diomi and raised itself to full height, towering over her as it attempted to swipe her sword away with one arm and tear her to shreds with the other. Or, at least, that was the original intention (See Paragraph 4). As it came towards her, she could feel the psychic signatures given and realized something quite disturbing - it was intelligent, at least as intelligent as them. That could only mean trouble.Alfon watched as the creatures tail suddenly flipped into use, knocking the dagger out of the air and sending it hurtling into the ground with great force. The beast then lunged quickly, moving to tackle him to the ground before gravitational intervention (See Paragraph 4).The use of the Garai by Keran did not go unnoticed. One of the beasts moved to attack him, but was caught up by his use of the mask and released from gravities hold with the others. The fifth creature, which had been sneaking up on Nivigate, grabbed onto the back end of his crab as a way to hold itself while trying to get at and rend the Matoran.Of course, a mask does require some focus to use. One of the creatures, not ready to give up, shot a blast of spittle towards Keran's face. It would only be fatal if it got into his mouth (unlikely) or eyes (also unlikely), but the shock would prove enough for him to lose concentration.OOC: I'd have posted earlier today, but there was a power outage at about 8 AM. OOC: Lev- Considering that one lightning strike killed my brother's Xbox and shortened the lives of several of our appliances; yeah I can attest to the devastating part. :PIC (Misty Island): Lesvera quickly loaded a bolt into her hand crossbow. Focusing on one of the rahi with some many powers was somewhat overkill, but she and her party weren't exactly the best at coordinating their attacks. She was about charge forward and send one of the floating monsters flying with a good kick. However she was distracted by an odd scream close behind her.She discovered that the scream had come from Nivigate's crab as one of the rahi had grabbed a hold of it. That same rahi was about to turn its matoran rider into a snack. This was the reason why Lesvera had hung back from the rest of the fleeing group. With one hand, she grabbed Nivigate and pulled him away from the creature and with her other arm, aimed her crossbow at the rahi's head, specifically one of its eyes. At more or less point blank range, she fired, preparing for one partially blinded but very angry monster.

OOC: Lightning is my favorite element for a reason. So... much... power.IC: Flying Rahi / Misty IslandThe crossbow bolt pierced the Rahi's eye, unleashing a large shriek. Apparently it hadn't been enough to reach the brain, or the creatures brain was in another place entirely, but a half blinded creature is still far easier to finish than a living one.The knife came flying, but the creature sent out its whip like tail to deflect it before reaching down and grabbing the rahi with the other hand and twisting itself down so it had a hold with both feet. From that somewhat awkward position, it urged the crab forwards - Nivigate noted that the beast was using its toes on the harnesses and the like much as he would use his hands. The Rahi, confused and with no choice but to obey, rushed forward at full speed, not effect by its riders crushing weight by the beast not having any.The creature released a spittle blast at Lesvera as it came close, attempting to grab her and lift her up.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

IC: Diomi Diomi ducked as the creature grabbed for her sword, causing it to miss by several inches. She parried the other arm, and was about to attack when she realized it was intelligent. Shocked slightly, she stepped back, unleashing a small mental blast as she thought about what to do and how to do it. This new revelation was a rather shocking one.

IC (Misty Island): Lesvera created a swath of water directly in the path of the spittle and twisted out of the way, hoping to stop it and dilute whatever nasty things were supposed to be in the stuff. She then activated her mask and disappeared, while she pushed Nivigate to the ground and covered him with some of the mist. Her intent was to keep him out of the rahi's sight while she was invisible. With the crab racing ahead, all she had to do was what for the confused creatures to pass her. When they were parallel, Lesvera dropped her invisibility, unfolded one of her punching daggers, and attempted to slam it into the poisonous rahi's other eye. She could have aimed for another part of its body, but she didn't want it to move any closer to Nivigate than necessary.

IC: Flying Creatures / Misty IslandThat was what Lesvera planned for. As she was about to close in, the tail whipped out at her invisible form, attempting to deliver a stunning blow far greater than what its claws could do.The creature with Diomi reeled from the mental blast, but inevitably it only served to anger it further. IC: Alfon (Misty Island)Alfon cursed, loud and clear had his Volitak not been activated, the moment the flying Rahi swatted away the dagger so easily, his opportunity now wasted and putting him in danger. Speedy as a Prime could be, he wasn't in any position to sidestep from a powerful lunge, tackled to the ground, swivelling his head to each side as he dodged the bites that came, using his invisibility to his advantage. A pair of unseen hands gripped the beast's wrists, fending them off as best as he could but scratches and cuts were inevitable. From a distance, people would see an animal defying physics as it floated off the ground, snapping its jaws at nothing while a bit of blood trickled out of nowhere. Now was one of the real swell times Alfon wished he had some fancy superpowers like Toa, apart from his Kanohi. He brought up his knee in a quick succession towards the Rahi's stomach, digging and pounding into its abdomen. It reared its head back in pain and surprise, feeling the brunt of Alfon's forehead smashing into the bottom of its face. The Prime pushed it off of him and rolled away, leaving behind a small trail of blood as he pulled out his sword. The creature was nowhere near finished. My head...
