Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention.  Now that we are referring to Bionicle in generations, I guess the original term works just fine.  Well, I tried.

I wouldn't apply these terms across the board to people who simply prefer previous generations of whatever--I only consider them applicable when the close-minded nostalgia blinders are painfully obvious in someone's statements.  It's the extreme end of the spectrum, if you will.

As for "ohwunners" in particular, I just thought it would be neat if we had our own variant of the term and that fit the pattern.  No offense is meant to people who enjoy 01, only to those people who irrationally spew "OLD BETTER THAN NEW BECAUSE I SAID SO" and whatnot.

I've been able to find some success with the options we have.  My main priority was a particular princess from a certain video game, and her hair was really easy to recreate; aside from that, I have four different Miis from my favorite anime, three of which I'm pretty content with the hair of (the last one is a little eh).  And then a few others, most of which have easy hair.  Except for Geo Stelar, but I worked with it because I needed a Mii of my favorite Mega Man to beat up the original. It was glorious.

...At the same time, I can't bring my favorite pink and purple haired characters in to Smash.  Pros and cons.

The limitations on Miis are a little frustrating, but considering all the options we do have, Mii Fighters are still pretty awesome.  I probably wouldn't even have that complaint if they just added anime hair, tbh.

I'm pumped for this too!  I've been wanting a sky overworld with clouds that enable Pokemon battles since long ago, and now we're getting it, PLUS access to all the legendaries!  Though, I'm wondering if the Kanto legendaries will be included in ORAS since they are available in X and Y, thus already available in Gen VI.  It'll be interesting to find out.

I don't think it's necessarily treating romance as purely biological--I never took it as such.  It's just something MU beings didn't feel, part of their inner "programming" rather than a bodily thing.  Besides, like you said, people will tell the romance stories they want whether romance is canon or not; I haven't seen the decanonization do anything to change people's headcanons and fanfiction and whatnot.

I guess I'm just worried that if romance was canon it might detract from other aspects of relationships, stories, etc.

You do realize "genwunner" is a purely derogatory term, right?

And I'm not so sure the Dark Hunters could make the transition, considering Lego appears to want the reboot to be more child-friendly and the Dark Hunters are a gang of thieves who regularly talk about how many people they've killed in gruesome ways.

I'm experimenting with other Mii Fighters before I decide what I want to be, but that is the perfect tagline for when I join the smash and I cannot thank you enough.

I was hoping someone would make a Nigel Fighter and I look forward to seeing him smash.

I wasn't really trying to put down the opinion--some people like this sort of gag, some people don't, it's fine either way.  I was just saying it seemed like an overgeneralization of anime, which seems to be a current ongoing thing.

But, I guess I'm a little sensitive when it comes to the animes.

Besides, it seems like you're taking this one thing from one show and saying it's a problem in any anime ever.  Anime is just a form a media--each individual series has its own art style, and sure, some things reappear in multiple series, but I think it'd be tough to find one thing that appears in every single anime ever made.

...Except maybe Japan.  Maybe.

So far there is manga for Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, and II (which was put on hiatus for a while and is now continuing).  They're all written by the same guy, but as I'm told the CoM manga is the silliest.  I'm not sure where would be the best place to read them, but they have been/are being translated by Tokyopop or Yen Press.

Yeah, friendship is kinda overdone, but it's still interesting.  If you have a PS3, there are now HD collections of the series: 1.5 which contains Kingdom Hearts (Final Mix), Chain of Memories, and movies covering 358/2 Days; and the soon to be released 2.5, which contains Kingdom Hearts II (Final Mix), Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (Final Mix), and movies covering Re:coded (which we're told will include brand new info!).  That's everything but Kingdom Hearts 3D.  3D also features summaries of the previous games that are unlocked to read as you play, to try to get newcomers up to speed.

Though I'll be frank: the series doesn't make a whole lot of sense no matter how knowledgeable you are about it.  But that's part of the charm, I suppose...

I believe there actually is a Kingdom Hearts drinking game.  Don't have the link on me, though.
