IC: Hakari - Ga-koro - 

Hakari perked up at the mention of Po-koro. She'd heard that Captain Lohkar was out in Ostia, which wasn't terribly far from Po-koro, or at least not out of the way.

"I need to get going to Ostia soon, if you're going that direction I can at least accompany you for a while."

I mean most people still call him The Makuta so I think that speaks for itself really.

Skyra nodded at his gesture. "Yeah exactly, come on the Inn is just over there." Skyra pointed towards the inn as she started to walk over.

The buggy beeped in response to it's passengers before taking off quickly, driving back towards it's driver. Whether or not it was the result of their question was hard to say.

I understood how Pirok felt, not so long ago I probably would have felt the same way, ready to rush into danger without really thinking too hard about the dangers or potential consequences, good or bad.

Since Ko-koro however I had promised to change. Not just for my own sake, but for the people I cared about as well. I couldn't afford to be reckless...or well, as reckless.

"I understand how you feel Pirok, really I do. But Rynekk and Krayn are right, with Makuta back we need to focus on the big picture. As much as I would love to raid a necromancer's lab." Actually, I really didn't. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of stumbling across the zombified corpse of my old body, or whatever the f### was done to it. 

"Plus, we're about to be leaving the island. Got this whole voyage planned and all." There was no way in h### I was missing it either.

"That's okay neither do I." Skyra said before jerking her thumb towards the Inn nearby. "Wanna drink?"

Meanwhile, Skyra's buggy did indeed notice the Jungle Agori waving and whistling at it, and having been programmed to look for potential customers, promptly slowed down and pulled over near the guards, giving a friendly beep.

Skyra groaned as she slowly turned to look back at Karak. "Why!? Look dude I'm not gonna marry you okay?"

"I don't think were even talking about the same thing, are we?" Skyra sighed, it was clear this guy didn't know very much Agori.

"Look, I don't want to fight. You're the one who started this in the first place." Skyra sheathed her weapons, if words didn't work that should at least. 

"I'm leaving now, bye." The Red Star Inn was nearby, she needed a drink. She'd have her car park nearby, as it was still driving around somewhere. She started to walk away.

"What?" Skyra looked confused, lowering her swords as she did. Was...she being proposed to?

"No thanks I like being single. I'm sure you're great and all but yeah."

"Huh?" Skyra was caught off guard by the question, she quickly shook her head. "No, I don't like the Skrall. They suck." They didn't tip, in fact they usually demanded she pay them a toll or some ******, even when she was nowhere near their territory! Or try to take her car.

"Ah!" Skyra manages to block the slash with her left blade, if only just barely. She doesn't like the position she is in however, and leaps away, the jets built into the bottom of her feet sending her farther back than she'd have been able to otherwise. 

"You're pretty good...that was closer than I would have liked." Skyra kept her guard up, even more so than before as she waited for him to make another move.

Mid-afternoon the next day, there was a knock at Oceanna's door. Aar, Exo pilot currently grounded due to repairs, had been delegated to bring the reward to her, and now stood at the door of her abode.

It was nice having her own place and not living on the streets, even if she was still relatively poor. She opened the door soon after Aar knocked, looking like she was half asleep still as she stared at him.

"Yeah?"

"Not much of a talker huh?"

Skyra stepped back as he charged at her, keeping the blade in her left hand positioned defensively while she swung down with the one in her right hand, hoping to catch him as he charged her.

I pouted and muttered something that wouldn't be recognizable as words as Krayn put an end to our conversation. Mostly I was mad because he was right, as usual.

Anyway, it was time to focus on the reason Pirok had sought be out in the first place. Apparently it was about Echelon, which was interesting to say the least. "Yeah the guy kicked the bucket, did one of his creations escape some lab and is running loose in the jungle or something?" 

Need a hand?

IC: -Somewhere near the Mangaia -

He groaned as his eyes struggled to open, the first thing he noticed was that it was dark. The only source of light was a small fire. As his senses returned to him he realized he was in some kind of cave, he could hear the crackling of the fire, along with quant humming nearby. 

The source of the humming was a large, armored Toa, a Toa of Stone probably, who seemed to be cooking something. "Hey, you're finally awake." Despite how friendly his voice was, the man felt himself shiver, something wasn't quite right.

"Where...am I? Who are you?" He tried to move, but found his arms and legs were very heavy. To his alarm, he found his limbs completely incased in stone. "What is this?!" 

The Toa of Stone poured the contents of his pot into a bowl before turning to look at the man. The the man's horror the Toa of stone was clearly wearing an infected Pakari. "You must be hungry, say 'ah'." The Toa attempted to feed the man. 

"I don't want your f-hrmmph!" Despite his protests the Toa forced the spoon into his mouth, to his surprise the soup actually tasted pretty good, excellent even. 

The Toa smiled before sitting back, looking at the man. "I'm sure you're wondering why you're here, Xxeth Daring. Though it shouldn't come as a surprise no? Abandoning our brothers and sisters in Ko-koro? Well that's just plain naughty." He said in a scolding tone, like a parent to a child. 

Xxeth's mind race, how could he get out of this!? All he wanted was to go live a quiet life of peace, somewhere where no one remembered him. He was done with this life! "I never promised undying loyalty, I was a mercenary, nothing more."

The man laughed. "It is fortunate it was I who found you, Xxeth. Most of my comrades would have slaughtered you where you stood! Now, to business..." He took a spoonful of his own soup. "You maybe believe you may come and go in the service of the Lord Makuta, but that is not how this works. Once you're in his service, that is where you shall remain till your dying breath. There is no choice in this."

Xxeth gritted his teeth. "Then, why am I still alive, huh? Just get it over with and kill me." Something wasn't adding up here.

He smiled a smile most unpleasant. "Now you're asking the right questions. Why would I leave a worthless traitor like you alive? Perhaps to lure a certain Skyra Daring and her friends? Who knows really?"

"You've got to be kidding." Xxeth couldn't believe what he was hearing, would he ever escape Skyra's shadow? Why couldn't he just be left alone? "Sorry to disappoint you, whatever your name is. But my brother doesn't want anything to do with me, and the feeling is mut-" The prophet of makuta suddenly tightened the stone bindings around Xxeth's limbs, causing the Toa of Air to cry out in pain. 

"You really shouldn't misgender people, it's very rude." He scolded. "Regardless, like so many you simply don't understand how 'heroes' work do you? True champions of Mata Nui will help anyone in need, even their enemies under the right circumstances."

Xxeth wasn't sure what to make of this guy, he wasn't like most members of the brotherhood that he'd met. "Who the #### are you?" 

"Why I'm Drakkar Brack, prophet of Makuta." He smiled. "You should rejoice, Xxeth. This is your chance at redemption, if all goes well you may escape with more than just your life, just maybe."

"How do you know my br-sister and her friends will come for me? They could just as easily suspect this is a trap." Xxeth refused to believe Skyra and her friends would bother on someone like him, it wasn't like he deserved their help, or even wanted it. 

"Hmmm...call it intuition, I suppose. Though there is one way to really make it convincing..." Drakkar stood up, brandishing a knife as he approached. "I'll just have to send them something that will confirm that you are indeed, in serious trouble..." One of Xxeth's hands was freed from the rock, but his arm still remained pinned down. He struggled in vain as Drakkar got closer. 

The harrowing screams that followed echoed throughout the cavern.

"No way, those golden shoulder pads would be pretty hard to miss....they kind of stand out ya know?"

"Well admittedly it was a very short lived Toa Team, but whatever, that's separate from the hospital. It's fine if you don't remember." Praggos was more stressed than I thought, his memory was slipping big time.

"Face it Praggos your memory is worse than mine." I turned to look at Pirok. "Can you believe this guy? Can't even remember being on a Toa Team." I shook my head.

"Our friendship has had it's up and downs, mostly downs, but things are looking up!"

"Well of course you don't, as a doctor you've probably been to like every hospital ever, you know the big one in Ga-koro."

"Hold on wait..." I thought real hard about the Toa of Ice that had been at the hospital at the time. "...you sure it wasn't you Praggos? I could have sworn that was you at the hospital..."

Ahah, Pirok! Now it was coming back to me, the Toa team I was briefly part of...yeah that didn't last long huh. 

"Yeah that b#####d stole it, but since he's apparently dead now it's not like I can ask him where he put it." I let out a puff of air. "Whatever, doesn't really matter. You know something about it...Pirok? Also, weren't you there at the hospital Praggos? Could have sworn you were around somewhere..." He must of been, it wasn't like I knew any other Toa of Ice, besides this Makua guy of course.

I blinked, wait he was there!? Oh f###. "Oh right! Sorry that was a...traumatic time, some of the details are fuzzy and stuff ya know?" Alright he would probably buy that excuse. "Didn't help that my old body got stolen right after..." It still bothered me that it was never accounted for, ####ing necromancers.

I waved my hand dismissively, at this point I was used to people being confused about my little body swap. I'd been confused by it myself at first, but at this point I wouldn't want to switch back even if I could. 

"Don't worry about it. I got stabbed fatally and was rushed to a Ga-koran hospital, they happened to have a soulless body and an Iden around and this was the result." I figured that summed up my insane life nicely.
