My head hurt, and not from my head injury this time. I was struggling to remember this guy, I could almost reach the memories but something was blocking it.

"Yeah come on up. How've you been?" I'd just play it cool for now.

I looked at the snowball that had been placed into my hands. I had a decision to make here...

"You the Aggressors? I'm, uh, I'm looking for Skyra – Skyra Daring?"

Instead of throwing the snowball I pressed it into Makua's face as I looked towards...whoever it was that was calling my name. Something struck me as familiar about this person, but I was having a hard time placing it. I wordless walked over to the end of the deck and peered over the side to see who it was. My eyes widened, I knew this guy! Wait...where did I know him from? I couldn't quite remember...

"Yo! You looking for me...uh...you! It's been a while since uh...last time I saw you!" I could not remember who this was at all.

I slowly turned my head to look at Praggos, unable to help the smirk growing on my face. There was no way he didn't say that on purpose.

"Sure thing babe." I snapped my fingers as a breeze started to pick up across the deck.

Skyra glared at the other Glatorian as she promptly opened the door to her buggy, stepping out as she grabbed both her katanas and thornax launcher. She slammed the door shut on her car before she gave it an affectionate pat on it's hood. "Drive around the block a few times babe, I'll take care of this."

The buggy gave two quick beeps before it's wheels spun, it quickly spun around and drove off the other way, all on it's own. The buggy whizzed past a place called the Red Star Inn before it disappeared around a corner.

Skyra sized up Karak. "Before I beat your ###, I'll introduce myself. I'm Skyra Daring, a driver. If I'm feeling nice I'll drive you to a hospital after this."

She hadn't decided if she felt like being nice yet.

"D-Dividends?" I blinked, it was one of those rare moments where I was absolutely speechless. Who even spoke like that?

Well, this guy was an absolute weirdo, he'd fit right in. I decided to ignore him for the moment and turned my attention to the distressed doctor. He looked like he was going to lose it.

"I think he said something like that yeah. Though speaking of the heat, why don't we just combine our powers and make a cool breeze, eh?" I wasn't as bothered by the heat as Praggos but it was noticeably hot.

  6. IC: Kaminari - Sanctum -

Kaminari slowly scanned the Sanctum with curiosity, Nuju's mask and other things were certainly interesting, but didn't mean much to the dragon. She ignored the stares of the passersby, completely unbothered by them.

The draconic mystix was also quite aware of the limited amount of space she had, keeping her wings folded as tightly against her body as she could. Admittedly she was somewhat vulnerable in such an enclosed area, but she trusted this 'Toa' or whatever this biped was called, despite only having just met not very long before.

"I'm what you would call a Draconic Mystix." Kaminari began to explain, though she made the dragon equivalent of a frown as she thought of something. "We're much more reasonable than our bat-kin cousins, I can assure you of that." She had heard of the trouble their bat-like brethren had caused the bipedals, and wished to make it clear that the Draconic Mystix had nothing to do with it.

"Hmm, how old we talking? Let me see that." I snatched the list from Praggos as I began to read. "Mmhmm...I see." I nodded to myself as I read what was basically a shopping list. Looked like medical supplies, books, was that alcohol discretely written in there? What a sneaky doctor...if Kale asked I'd just say it meant rubbing alcohol...or something like that. He'd totally buy that.

"You can count on me doc!" I gave him an extremely exaggerated thumbs up and a wink.

"Heyya Rynekk. No need to call me commander, I'm on...extended leave from the Gukko Force, possibly forever." I hadn't decided yet if I'd ever go back to the force, if I was honest. I was hardly ever in Le-koro these days as it was.

My attention quickly became more focused on someone I wasn't familiar with, actually two different someones. First there was some Lesterin who was trying to get into the Commander's quarters for some reason, weird but okay. Then there was this Toa of Ice who had started speaking with Krayn....

"...what's with the golden shoulder pads? Compensating for something?" Wait...did I just say that out loud? Whoops.

"I mean uh...sup, I'm Skyra Daring. You say something about Vidar? F### that guy, never liked him." I had tried to kill the guy once, felt like a lifetime ago now. I was glad there had been no sign of him in a long time, hopefully he crawled into a hole and died.

There was a sudden thud on the hood of Skyra's car, which caused her to immediately snap her head up in alarm. "Wha-HEY!" Skyra immediately sent a command to her buggy through the chip in her head, causing her vehicle to immediately start up and go into reverse, practically flooring it as it suddenly accelerated backwards, fully intending to send the attacker flying off the car.

"If you're trying to pick a fight you've ####ing got one! No one ####s with my car!" Attacking her was one thing, but threatening her car? Unforgivable.

Skyra stretched back in the seat of her buggy, looking bored as she watched Agori and Glatorian of all sorts go about there business from her parked vehicle. For the moment, business was slow, apparently people didn't want to go anywhere far, much to the driver's chagrin.

A bird landed on the hood of her car, she blared the horn at it. It turned and simply stared at her.

She stared back. "...if you put so much as a scratch on it, I will kill you."

The bird squawked before flying away. Skyra sighed, "I'm talking to birds now...neat." She debated signing up for an arena match, though of course if she got seriously injured she wouldn't be able to drive for a while, and that would just ****** her off.

"F###! Someone who wants to go somewhere, show up already!" She slammed her head into the steering wheel, setting the horn off again.

  11. Name: Skyra Daring

    Tribe: Jungle

    Species: Glatorian

    Gender: Female

Appearance: Skyra is primarily dark green in color, with black as her secondary and face color. She’s lithe in appearance and average in height for a female Glatorian. Her armor is designed to be light weight and allow quick movements while still providing decent protection.

    Equipment:

    Thornax Launcher

    Twin katanas

Vehicle: Skyra possesses a dune buggy that’s been modified for travel between the settlements. It has two seats in the front and two in the back, behind the backseats is a trunk for storing additional fuel and luggage. The buggy trades offensive capabilities for mostly defense, being heavily armored in the front and back. Twin buzzsaws can be deployed from the front bumper, perfect for cutting down obstacles such as vegetation or unwanted pedestrians.

Cybernetics: Skyra has a chip installed in right side of her head that allows her to give her dune buggy remote commands, such as drive to her current location or run over the annoying s### in front of her. It gives her a general sense of where her vehicle is as well.

Skyra also has jet boosters on the bottom of her feet that allow her to jump at greater heights than she would be able to otherwise, it can also serve as a nasty surprise if she were to plant her foot on someone and then activate them.

Personality & Traits: Skyra is a free spirit, generally doing what she wants without worrying too much about the consequences. She’s cheerful, and also very blunt. She says exactly what she’s thinking, regardless of how rude it might be.

History: Skyra makes a living mostly by driving people to wherever they wish to go, as long as they can pay up. She has no problem with throwing down in the arenas either but she prefers driving. Currently lives in Atero.

Weaknesses: Skyra’s carefree and somewhat reckless behavior often gets her into a lot of trouble. Her attention span is awful and she’s fairly easy to distract, though she often distracts the distractor in return.

  12. IC: Zanakra - Fort Garsi -

Zanakra rolled forward, narrowly evading Kirik's laser vision. Kirik had already started charging forward, without bothering to see if his laser hit his target. Zanakra admired this warrior's somewhat reckless behavior, he had guts, unlike some people she knew.

Perhaps a bit too reckless. Zanakra didn't have time to dodge Kirik's upcoming attack, but she had her hammer in her hands. She swung at Kirik, the jets on the back of the hammer activating to increase the speed of the swing. Kirik would be able to strike Zanakra with his prosthetic, no doubt, but he would in turn be struck by the full force of Zanakra's impact hammer as well.

Zanakra heard Ipsudir speak, it was hard not to with how loud she was. She would have said something in response if she wasn't already dealing with Kirik.

“Haah!” I jabbed my spear into the target dummy for, well I don’t know how many times that morning. Repetition makes perfect as they say, and while I wouldn’t dare say I was perfect by any measure, it was something I’d always push towards.

Today was spear day, I had been awake since before the sun  rose and had been above deck, stabbing at the target dummy. I only stopped briefly for water when necessary. You might ask why a swordswoman was using a spear? Simple, I wanted to master every weapon that existed, the spear was only the start.

Collecting weapons was starting to become a bit of an obsession of mine, but they were all useless if I couldn’t at least use them somewhat competently. And so this was why I now practiced with the spear everyday.

I was actually glad for the dry heat of Ta-Wahi, while it was certainly hotter than Ga-Wahi or even Le-Wahi, it was not nearly as humid, and with a subtle use of my elemental for a nice breeze I didn’t sweat as much as usual, which meant I could keep practicing my technique for longer.

While the target dummy could not fight back, it helped that its appearance was close to a certain stupid idiot younger brother, which motivated me to stab it harder.

I overheard Krayn and Rynekk speaking, it seemed Krayn was on the deck.. How long had I been practicing? Considering my arms were starting to feel slightly numb perhaps it was best I wrapped things up.

I channeled my element through the protosteel spear as I stabbed it into the dummy, a powerful burst of turbulence lifted the dummy straight up into the air above me, I quickly adjusted my spear to hold it like a javelin before chucking it right into the dummy’s chest. Mmm yeah my aim was getting better, f### you Xxeth.

I turned away, not bothering to even look at the dummy crashing back onto the deck, falling apart most likely, not that I cared to check.

I’d overheard Krayn and Rynekk say something about looking for the commander, and I was getting stir crazy on the ship. So with a grin I intruded upon their conversation.

“You boys going on shore? I’m coming too, I’m bored.”

The citizens of Ko-Koro gave the pair a wide berth as Kalyss and her guest made their way to the Sanctum. With one glance back to where Casanuva had been staking out, Kalyss led the way.

The creature was bizarre; closer to a rahi than a matoran in form, but Kaminari obviously possessed reasoning skills. Even if one might say they were lacking compared to a matoran, or at the very lease, maladjusted. A few quick words to the guards at the Sanctum cleared both of them for entry.

"The Sanctum; formerly a temple, but now the administrative, military, and spiritual center of Ko-Koro. I can get us into the Archives, unless you would like to check out the Wall of Prophecy first. Be sure to keep your voice down; in addition to some de-matoran working inside, it is still an important temple."

    IC: Kaminari - Ko-koro -

The dragon nodded, "Of course." Kaminari said, attempting to lower her voice. Of course for a being of her size her voice still came out louder than most, but it was quiet from her perspective.

"The Archives will be fine, I care not which order I see them." It was all fascinating to the dragon regardless, it didn't not matter to Kaminari which one the bipedal preferred to show her first.

  16. IC: Hakari - Ga-koro - Central Hotel-

Hakari, for better or worse, tried a piece of the cactus raw. She waited a while to see if anything happened...were her fingers tingly now? She guessed so, perhaps it was her Lesterin biology but she wasn't feeling all that much from consuming the miracle plant. "It's...alright I guess." It seemed to be affecting the others a lot more than it did for her, but that was alright she supposed. She'd be leaving soon enough, and she wouldn't want to use her mask to travel at high speeds while...encumbered.

“Aurax is back!” Hakari heard someone shout suddenly, causing her to turn around at the commotion.

"Aurax is back? That's great!" Hakari said cheerfully. "...who is Aurax?" She had no idea who this Aurax was come to think of it.

IC: ???? - Somewhere in the desert -

Life has a funny way of working out, sometimes in ways you don't expect. Two matoran brothers had lost their way in the Motara Desert, a sandstorm had caused them to lose sight of the road, and they weren't entirely sure where they were anymore. Thankfully their wagon provided them shade, pulled by two Mahi. However, they were rapidly running out of water, and forget food. The Mahi had begun to slow as well, and once they collapsed it would be over.

Luck had finally turned around for them, however. In the distance they saw a tall figure, he had a massive shield and sword, and wore impressive armor that covered his even more impressive muscles. It was a Toa! They were saved!

At least that's what they thought as they ran up to him, till the Toa turned around, revealing his infected Kanohi.

"Ah..." The Toa spoke, looking at the two, petrified Matoran. "...do not be alarmed, for a bring great tidings. The Dark Lord, Makuta...has returned!"

They ran as fast as they could back towards the cart. Lapo was always faster, and was a meter head of Lepu...till a stone spike rose from the earth and skewered him anyway.

Lepu screamed, his brother's blood splattered against his mask. Lapo was dead...just like that.

"It's rude to walk away when someone is talking to you..." Lepu spun around, he couldn't control his breathing as he fell backwards, looking at the Toa in absolute terror. "...there is no reason to be afraid. Your brother has been taken by the Great Spirit, to slumber with him till his time to awaken comes."

"Y-You're not well, that mask...Makuta controls you!" Lepu barely managed to get the words out without screaming them.

"Oh this?" The Toa reached for his mask, before he ripped it off his face. "I wear this mask, blessed by the Dark Lord, to show my absolute devotion to him. My Lord may control me anytime he wishes, but I follow him quite willingly." He placed the mask back on his face, looking almost euphoric while doing so.

Lepu couldn't understand, how could he willingly... "Why!? Why did you kill my brother!? Why do any of this!?"

The Toa started to laugh, "I killed him to send a message of course." He smiled, it wasn't a wicked smile, he seemed to be full of joy. "Much like your Stannis Maru, I am a prophet. We merely follow different Great Spirits. Though I serve the Dark Lord with all my heart, know that I have nothing but respect for his slumbering brother, the Great Spirit Mata Nui. Makuta and Mata Nui may have their quarrels, but they are brothers. They are two sides of the same coin, darkness and light, the sun and the moon...don't you see?"

This Toa was clearly mad, this much Lepu understood. "Are you going to kill me too? Like my brother?" Lepu was afraid, but he wasn't sure how he could go on without his brother either...maybe this was for the best.

The Toa shook his head. "No, death does not call for you this day." He explained. "Your purpose is to live, live on and tell everyone what happened here today. That I...Drakkar Brack, prophet of the Dark Lord, murdered your brother, so that his blood may pave the way to enlightenment! The time of darkness has come, and the champions of Mata Nui must come to stop me! It's the only way the cycle can continue, don't you understand!?"

Lepu shook his head, this Toa was utterly mad. The Toa frowned. "Well, you will understand soon enough. You all will. Now go."  The Toa pointed towards a path...Lepu recognized it, it headed towards Po-koro!

Lepu started to run, he didn't look back, not at the mad Toa, his brother, or the cart. He didn't stop, not until he reached the gates of Po-koro themselves...where he finally collapsed.

    IC: - Po-koro Gates -

News of Lapo's death had most certainly spread throughout Po-koro. Lepu had recovered and frantically told the Sentinels about the mad Toa with the infected mask that had attacked them in the desert. Of course they took him seriously, especially since his brother remained missing. Though there was no sign of the dark Toa or his victim.

Interestingly enough, Lepu had ended up recovering in a hospital with a decent view of the gates, and every morning he would gaze out towards the desert, looking through the window as he thought of that dreaded day, he'd watch merchants, adventures, and other travelers come and go through the gates, it was peaceful.

One fateful morning, a familiar wagon slowly wheeled it's way towards the koro ever so slowly. Lepu thought his mind was playing tricks on him but as it got closer his body began to shake. Tied to the wagon was the corpse of his dear brother, written on his chest were the bloody words, courtesy of Drakkar Brack, Prophet of Makuta.

    Lepu screamed.

  18. IC: Hakari - Ga-koro - Warehouse -

With the danger over, Hakari sheathed her weapons and sighed. The Lesterin they'd been chasing all this time was subdued and would be turned into the proper authorites. The group had also acquired the coveted miracle cactus, but Hakari really didn't care much about that if she was honest.

All she could think about was home, not her home on Mata Nui, but Seprilli. Her memories of her homeland had all returned now, she was sure of that. She found it strange how different she used to behave, before the amnesia. She'd honestly mellowed out on Mata Nui, she'd been far more rebellious and rash in the past. It was almost as if there were two different Hakari, and now they were merged together in some weird, messy way.

She glanced at both Kanohi and Lapu, it was going to be...hard to say goodbye. They hadn't known each other for long, but she felt liked she'd formed a bond of sorts with the both of them, one that would not easily be broken. She was tempted to ask them if they wanted to come with her to Seprilli, but she knew that was a selfish thought, their place were here on Mata Nui...

...and hers was on Seprilli. She was going to leave soon, maybe not right at that moment, but now that their mission was more or less complete it was nearly time.

Perhaps she'd try a slice of that miracle cactus first, it probably just got you high but Hakari was cool with that.

"So he knew then." I hadn't meant to interrupt the dialogue between Leah and Krayn, but the words just sorta came out. Now I wouldn't have very said me and Stannis were sure close or knew each other well, but I did consider him both a friend and colleague. He was also the leader of the Toa Maru, and I, along with so many others on the island, had trusted him.

'Had' huh? Guess trust is that easy to break... I didn't even feel angry, just...disappointed. It made me wonder what sort of color Leah's mask had for that.

"I'm gonna go, you can fill me in later Krayn...bye!" I left the hut in an awkward hurry. I just needed time to think, time to process everything I just learned. What was I suppose to even do with information like that? Tell someone? Tell everyone? What good would that do anyway? It wasn't like they could just put Makuta in a bottle, cork it and then chuck it back into nothingness or whatever the #### they'd done.

While I was stewing in my thoughts I overheard Azusai mention food to Karoru. Now that was an idea, dinning out with two babes that had no idea who Makuta or Stannis were, perfect.

With a grin I walked over to the two girls. "I heard the mention of food? Well let's go, I know a place...and I'm buying!" When it came to money I was actually very well off, I certainly didn't need to worry about it at any rate. Most people didn't know this about me because well, they didn't ask.

"Oh yeah? What did she say about me?" I couldn't resist a slight smirk, we'd only just met, and Karoru couldn't help but talk about me already eh? No worries though, I wouldn't let it get to my head.

Karoru then began to vouch further for her friend and her skills as a navigator. It all sounded good to me, but of course the decision wasn't mine, but the Captain's. I was pretty confident I knew what his answer would be though.

After a while Leah woke up, not only that but she was offering answers. Krayn of course was ready for this, he already had a piece of paper ready to take notes, guess even 'retired' he still acted like a detective.

Naturally he asked the most important question first, how Makuta had returned. I tensed up a bit as I looked at Leah, I wanted to know the answer to this question myself, we all did.

  20. IC: Zanakra - Fort Garsi -

Time seemed to slow as Zanakra watched Kirik leap at her with all abandon. Now that was a warrior she could respect, one without fear. She grinned even as she fired her impact vision right at the warrior's chest.

Zanakra didn't have time to enjoy the results however, as the large boulder she had used for cover previously began to float in the air, before being tossed right towards her. She acted on instinct and muscle memory as she quickly swung her hammer at the boulder. As her hammer made contact a shockwave coursed through the rock, causing it to shatter into many pieces and chunks. They flew in all directions, some smacking into Zanakra, and most likely hitting Kirik as well.

Zanakra barely felt the rocks hit her, though they most certainly gave her some more scrapes and bruises, injuring her further. Her adrenaline and bloodlust simply prevented her from noticing the pain. She stood her ground, still holding her hammer in both hands as she panted.

Zanakra may have been focused on the battle in front of her, but the absence of aid from her 'allies' did not go unnoticed. As crazy as the warlord was, she could not blame them. Even she knew there was a good chance she wouldn't come out of this alive. But she hadn't made it this far in life by being careful, if you wanted to put your mark in this world you had to take risks, do what no one else dared.

Whether or not she lived or died was no concern, she just wanted to win this fight. Kirik having help wouldn't discourage her, in fact it did the opposite.

"Come on then warrior..." She said between breaths. "...let's dance."

Hakari's mask activated as the Stone Ape charged, quickly dashing around the beast so that she was behind it before stopping. She then turned on the lighter as she did, she knew the parasite was attracted to light, and also weak to the flames. Perhaps the flame wasn't big enough however.

There were a lot of plants in the warehouse, and lucky enough for Hakari there were a few withered vines or branches. She picked up a flimsy looking stick and then used the lighter to set it ablaze. She then waved it at the Stone Ape.

"Oi ugly, over here!" If the parasite was truly the same as the one that had infested the guuko, it would be naturally drawn to the light of the flames.

"Kaminari, looks like we're clear. I'd race you to the Sanctum, but I'd rather you not give anybody here any more frights today, plus I'd like to dig into this jambalaya before it gets cold. Ready?"

    IC: Kaminari - Ko-koro -

The dragon mystic nodded. "I thought you'd never ask, lead the way."

  23. IC: Hakari - Ga-koro - Warehouse -

Of course, it was never that easy was it?

Hakari drew her weapon as the Ape approached, even as it stopped and stared at them she stood ready. She tensed up a bit as the voice spoke, she couldn't tell where it was coming from and that put her on edge.

"Who are you, and why are you here?"

"I'm not accustomed to conversing with someone who refuses to show themselves." Hakari retorted, then she nearly flinched when she felt a tap on her thigh. Seeing the lighter offered by Kanohi, she smiled and took the lighter in her free hand, her scimitar in the other. She expected this to turn into a fight, considering who they were most likely dealing with...still, it didn't hurt to try and get information.

"Maybe if you explain what you've done to the Ape here, we just might feel like explaining why we're here as well."

  24. IC: Taleen - The Dancing Crab, Ostia -

Taleen frowned for a moment as she thought about her home island...or at least what she remembered of it. "Where I was raised isn't worth remembering, it's the last place I'd ever want to go." Taleen rarely ever looked bothered by anything, she went ahead and grabbed the bottle of whiskey and poured herself a drink. "I woke up here on this island one day, around Po-Wahi I believe. I didn't remember much, but I did remember my...skill set." She figured she didn't need to elaborate too much on what her skills were.

The Toa of Sonics took a long sip of the whiskey. "I can't really complain about someone like Lash coming aboard. I've done many things I'm not necessary proud of, I've killed a lot of people." She took another sip. "Most of them were the lowest of scum and deserved it, but the point still stands. Also, I'll be keeping an eye on her as well, if she does anything fishy...I'll take care of it."

Taleen took her final sip of her drink as she glanced at the Po-matoran who had approached them, she didn't consider herself a well-traveled sailor by any means so she refrained from saying anything, she'd allow the boys to handle it.
