I Exist
Should they be named in tribute to the Turaga, or to honour the Inika ? Or like the original tohunga ? Or should they have totally new names ? What are your thoughts ? Quote "I feel far far away from everything I've ever known, but when I look back, I think of you"Credits to Eeko for the banner. Aanchir
If they are given names, I think I'd prefer new ones to ones honoring past BIONICLE characters. After all, they're not based on any G1 characters visually, and unless they're based on G1 characters in terms of personality, there's not much to be gained from inviting those kind of comparisons. 8 Quote Latest MOC: PAIGE (Prototype Artificial Intelligence, Gynoid Expression)

Mr. Cup of Fail
I think they should have new names, I don't see any of them reminding me of any of the G1 bionicle character but maybe Jaller Mahri, so the Protector of Fire could have Jaller name or think of what Jaller would name his kids But I another idea is to give them names of character in the G1 that wasn't any big, to give those G1 Matoran like Nixie, Azibo, Kivi, NOT GARAN and my favorite Jaa to have some light. Nidhiki of the Shadows
Well, assuming they actually have personalities to go along with them, I think we'll have to wait and see. The Masters seem very akin to the Mata in terms of design and personality, but the Protectors look unlike anything we've seen before. If they are pretty much the equivalent of the Turaga or Matoran, then I wouldn't mind them having the same names. -NotS Edited November 26, 2014 by Nidhiki of the Shadows

Flex Lord Splash
Am I the only one who sees the comparison with j and the original Turaga? The scene with The Fire Protector standing before Tahu, wearing a black cloak and holding a black flame staff just yells Vakama to me. Vakama wears a cloak in the movie version, to me they are just more hip battle ready versions of the Turaga, perhaps they were never Toa. But that doesn't mean they won't get new names, but I still feel like there is some Vakama in there somewhere, see the animated short video if you don't know what image I am referencing. 1 Quote BZP-RPG Profiles Marvel Profiles
