I gasped underneath Karboa's weight. "Lose some weight, jeez." I said, gasping for breath. *Fatty* Yup.

IC Kotak:

 

Thrown through the air by a buffet of wind, Kotak landed awkwardly onto his feet. Unfortunately, momentum carried him into the wall, and he smacked his head pretty solidly.

 

 

"To Karz with this place," he growled.

 

He noticed what looked to be another person in charge striding through the crowd, and approached quickly, trying to grab her shoulder to get her attention.

 

"I need to have a chat with you." He spoke, eyes piercing as ever.

I screamed in surprise as I felt a sudden gust of wind ripped through the room, sending me flying off my chair. What was happening? Had the guards intervened? There was sharp pain in my head as I collided with another chair before falling to the floor. I groaned, somehow still clutching my doll as I lay on the ground, a few chairs laying upturned around me.

IC:Kuraz

 

Kuraz saw the noticed the guard summoning the gust and by the time she understood what he was doing it was too late. She fell off her chair and grunted. without saying anything else she stood up as fast as possible and headed back to her room. Her attempt at socializing had failed miserably.

 

How could he do that? Toa can't use their powers here.

Nyhe activated her Komau. Against a siphoned Toa's mental resistance... well... What resistance?

 

"Go away, now."

 

Nyhe continued searching for Scriva.

IC: Scriva - Recreation Area. 

 

Scriva slunk quietly into a corner, wiping the blood off her pencil before sitting down and resuming her writing. She didn't know the name of the brute who'd tried to grab her, so she drew a sketch of him so that Nhye could identify them.

GM IC Nyhe:

 

"Scriva!" Nyhe hurried along towards Scriva.

 

"Are you alright? I didn't hurt you, did I?"

IC: Scriva - Recreation Area.

 

"I'm fine," she said slowly, doing her best not to draw attention to the spots of Karboa's blood on her sleeve.

GM IC Nyhe:

 

"Tell me, did anyone try to hurt you?"

IC: Scriva - Recreation Area.

 

Wordlessly, she opened her notebook and indicated the sketch she'd made of Karboa.

My head really hurt, after a few moments of lying on the floor I slowly brought myself to my knees. Touching the side of my head, I found I was bleeding a little. I started to shake as I looked at my hand. 

 

I don't belong here oh god why am I here this place is a madhouse even the guards are crazy... I couldn't stay here, I needed to get out. I stood up, stumbling a bit as I headed for the exit. I knew what I had to do, I'd head to the main office and tell them I couldn't stay here, they could take me anywhere they wanted, as long as it wasn't here. I held a hand to my aching forehead as I tried to get as far away from where the fighting had been as possible.

He stepped back once. Only once.

 

Then stepped forward again, waiting til she'd finished her conversation with the burned Toa. Idly, he wondered what had happened to her.

 

Apparently he'd caught her at a bad time, this doctor.

 

He could wait a little longer.

The Toa of Lightning stood, dusting herself off after the gust. At least they cleared that altercation up quickly. Mhm. After all... if you actually went crazy getting your head hit or something, where would I be? I don't know, considering I still don't know what you are.

IC: "Five-Knuckled" Sal - Transport

The transport pulled up to the asylum, coming to a complete stop near the entrance.

All was silent for a few moments, save for the sounds of distant wildlife, painting a picture of serenity for anyone who had decided to glance out the nearest window to watch the advent of the incoming patients.

That is, until the doors were forcefully flung open due to a well-timed kick.

Sal hopped down out of the vehicle as the two guards behind her prodded her forward, turning her head back long enough to flash the one remaining guard by the doors a wink and a smile as a look of shock formed on his face, dumbfounded that his hand was nearly crushed by her foot.

"So sorry, love, but in all honesty, you could've been doing your job at a slightly quicker pace," she explained as the guards followed her outside. "Preferably one more to my liking."

As the duo escorted her inside, she surveyed her surroundings, blowing a bubble with the wad of chewing gum that she had crammed into her mouth before setting off on the ride over. The goon squad behind her, having been informed of her file beforehand, hadn't dared an attempt to take it from her out of fear of possibly losing their fingers.

Needless to say, she wasn't all that impressed.

"This is where you lot plan on locking me up? Got to say, you guys really know how to make a girl feel welcome," she said sarcastically. "And I'm not even going to mention the lack of streamers..."

She craned her head towards the hallway at the sound of a fight between patients as her lips once again formed a smile.

"Now that's more like it."

OOC: Sal is open to interaction and eventual processing.

Halmos stepped out of the Psych ward, very furious at Nyhe for her unexplainable actions. Then he heard a complaining voice down the halls, one he had not heard before.

 

He walked up to the new prisoner patient and said "Hello. Welcome to the Metru Nui sanitarium." He took the paper sheet and clipboard from one of the guards. "Let's see... Sal. You will be staying in general, and will be allowed to see all the patients in general, but the solitary is locked off. Your room shall be unlocked unless you choose to lock it. Have a nice stay."

 

"Oh," he said as he walked away, "and don't kill anyone with those." He motioned to her hands, which held knuckle dusters.

The air Toa/guard gave a sigh and, using his air power, shoved the larger Toa off of the smaller one. He and several other guards began to rearrange the chairs.

I gasped for air. "CAN SOMEONE GET THIS FATASS MOTHER######ER OFF OF ME!" I yelled.

OOC: Please remember, no swearing.

 

GM IC Nyhe:

"Shut up over there!"

 

Nyhe looked carefully at the picture, until she realized who it was.

 

"Guards, get me Toa Karboa."

 

"Yes, doctor."

I found myself at the entrance to the main office, I wasn't sure if I was even allowed in there, but I didn't care. I was gonna talk to them and convince them that I couldn't stay here. 

 

So I barged in, my hand still clutching the gash on my forehead. "I want to speak with someone in charge." I announced. This Asylum wasn't a safe place, the idiotic guards did a terrible job of keeping everyone safe and were actually the cause of my injury. They couldn't keep me here, the conditions were ridiculous, if you weren't insane when you got here you would be if you stayed. 

 

OOC: Assuming some sort of staff is in the main office, cause that would make sense.

A couple of guards stopped their conversation and looked at her. One of them, after a second, walked over to the communicator hung on the wall.

 

"Halmos sir, there's a patient in your office sir."

 

"Very well," he said as he hung it back up, "He'll be here shortly."

I sighed with relief. "Thank you." I was sure when he arrived we could straighten this out.

In a matter of minutes, Halmos was in the main office, grumbling a little. He took a seat at the desk.

 

"Well, what seems to be the matter?"

[Snelly]

IC: Lana

 

I took my hand off my forehead, the wound had stopped bleeding but it was obvious I had collided into something. I sat down. "Thank you for seeing me...I...I can't stay here. I don't even belong here, I got sent here just because I'm a Toa, there's no other reason. I'm not crazy, I don't have any mental illness! I haven't even been here for more than few hours and already I've been injured. All I was doing was sitting in a chair..." My hands shook a little from nervousness. 

 

"Please, there has to be somewhere I can be sent, I don't care if it's a prison I just...don't want to be here."

She stood there calmly and watched the guards going after Karboa. Perhaps my stay here won't be so bad after all....

Or perhaps it would. One-Thirty-Five skulked his way to Scriva.

 

"Good move with the pencil. Did you aim for a point or a line?"

IC: Scriva - Recreation Area.

 

She looked up, giving the strange Toa a confused glance.

GM IC Nyhe:

 

"Guards, when you find Karboa, drag him to Solitary. He'll stay there for the night."

 

"Toa... um... Patient 135... Toa, I don't think Scriva sees "points" or "lines." That's just you."

IC: Scriva - Recreation Area.

 

She quickly added some notes to her sketch of 135. Now she knew what he was called, and that he apparently saw "points and lines", whatever the heck that actually meant. The more she knew about her fellow inmates, the more confident she felt.

 

Knowledge was power, after all....

She nodded, putting her notebook and pencil away.

Sal gave the doctor a mock salute before proceeding to skip her way down the hall, passing by a frantic-looking Toa of Stone in the process.

"No promises," she mumbled to herself as she rounded a corner, looking for the room in which the fight took place.

Nyhe led Scriva to Patient Counseling and shut the door behind them.

 

"Please, sit down. I want to talk to you about something."

Confused but not worried, the Toa sat down in the chair, waiting to hear what Nhye had to say.

Halmos shifted his position to lead on his hand as he thought this over. With a sigh, he reached into a drawer and pulled out a few sheets of paper and handed them to her momentarily. "Unfortunately, the law of Metru Nui dictates that no patient may leave unless they have been given the duration time while sane, have been cured of all insanity, or have commited a violation along the lines of assault or murder, in which they are sent to be terminated." he placed the papers back in his drawer.

 

"Unfortunately, there's not much I can do besides what you already have." He said. "Then again... This may be unrelated, but how would you like to make your living space a little more comfier?"

 

 

OOC: Aw, Halmos is so cute when he acts innocent!

IC Kotak: He scowled. Brushed off again like so much trash.

 

He thought he'd left that far behind on MataNui. Apparently this was not the case. He stalked up to the Warden's office, overhearing a bit of the converstaion inside.

Second: If we are certifiably sane to begin with, why the Karz are we here? Third, and I do stress this one...." He set his hands on the desk, glaring with an icy stare.

My heart sank even as he Halmos continued talking, once I realized I wasn't going to be leaving what he was saying didn't seem to matter anymore. He wasn't going to let me leave, and there was no way I could force my way out. 

 

 

"Couple problems with that theory you've got there, doc. First: I wasn't even in Metru Nui when I was attacked by a mob of Matoran and Toa. Second: If we are certifiably sane to begin with, why the Karz are we here? Third, and I do stress this one...." He set his hands on the desk, glaring with an icy stare.

 

"What the karz have you got locked in here with all of us?"

 

 

Then this guy interrupted my thoughts, I looked at him with a bit of surprise of how boldly he had come in here and started talking like that to the doctor.

Halmos gave an artificial look of surprise. "For your information you now are in Metru nui. All of the other Toa who were sent here were checked to be sure they  were sane, then stayed the waiting period and were given the chance to go free or work here - and most of them stayed. Probably out of cowering fear, not being the heroes they are supposed to be."

 

"And the reason the sane are here in the first place is because the city and the Matoran believe in superstitions of reincarnation, and that sort of nonsense. And finally..." He left a very small gap in his wording. "We don't know."

 

"So," he said to the other patient "are you interested?"

IC: Lana

 

"I...guess." Comfort was always good, right? "How long is this waiting period?"

Halmos shook his head sadly. "I don't know. It's all depending upon decisions made by the leaders of Metru Nui. Unforunately I'm over here all the time, so no way to negotiate with them. Half of them forget about this place's existence entirely."

 

He wrote something lengthy down on a piece of paper, signed it, and stamped it as approval. "Take this to one of the guards by the front, it's the first assignment for everyone. We'll have one of these now and then, and the winners get to have more additions added to their rooms. But for you, return here after delivering that and i'll provide you with your private assignment."

 

 

The note read as follows:

 

Send a squad of guards to the shipping port and have them bring back the preparation grid installments I asked for; we'll install them overnight.
