Mine would have to be either Time Trap for reveling a lot of info on how the Toa Metru were chosen and Legacy of Evil for giving us a bunch of info and history of our favorite character!

So what are yours? ^_^

From what I have (Which are... Five books, Chronicles 1, Adventures 1 and 2 and Legends 1 and 2), my favorite is Dark Destiny by far. It was the best book I've ever read.

Makes me wonder, where the hay did I left it ?

Also known as Vinyl Scratch, ~(Natalie Breez)~ or Creep Of The Deep.

My favorite book would have to be Raid On Vulcanus. I liked that there were no Toa to use elemental powers. It was just raw fighting skills used.

Time Trap and The Final Battle. Both were great, but I haven't read any Bionicle recently, I've just flipped through the comics... Might read the books again, if I ever manage to have enough free time...

*sigh* I'm going to have to with the cliche and say Time Trap (though it's a cliche with good reason). I would also say Island of Doom and Dark Destiny are high up on the list.

Keep in mind that if Star Trek fans had, as a group, said, "No point in talking about this anymore, it's never going to come back," it never WOULD have come back.
-- Greg Farshtey

Once Star Trek ended - pfft! - the network didn't care about it anymore, nobody cared about it anymore and it was the fans that kept it alive until finally someone turned around and said "You know what? There's a whole mess of people out there who like this. Let's do something with it again. It was a lot of years - a lot of years went by - before that happened. But if the fans shrug their shoulders and are like "Pfft! I don't care about this anymore and I'll just forget about it," then everybody else is going to forget about it, too. So the only people who - the Lego company can't do it - the only people who can keep the flame alive is the fans ... It's something only fans can do.

-- Greg Farshtey

We're 30 months closer to Bionicle's return than we were when it ended!

Definitely Time Trap, I think the fact that it had fewer characters compared to the rest helped a lot. And plus it was Makuta at his very best. I liked Legacy of Evil's backstory, but Downfall played out beautifully. I'll throw in The Final Battle too, for the ending. The rest seemed kind of run-of-the-mill Toa vs. Bad Guys that had been going on for a while, but once the energy storms started and Greg offed half the characters at once, it really became awesome.

Tale of the Toa, Power Play, Shadows in the Sky, Raid on Vulcanus. And Journey's End if it counts.

Heck, they're all good.

My favorites would have to be Voyage Of Fear, Maze Of Shadows, and Time Trap. The first few books of "BIONICLE Legends" were pretty good too.

*Incoming Transmission*

It's a three-way tie: Voyage of Fear, Maze of Shadows, and Tales of the Toa. But out of those three, I think Maze of Shadows wins.

I'll do it by series:

Chronicles: Tale of the Toa (Heavy Kopaka focus, took a definite interest in the emotions and character of the Toa).

Adventures: Time Trap (Very dramatic, rather philosophical; involved screwing with time).

Legends: Dark Destiny (I really liked the darker tone the book took; it made Power Play rather disappointing, actually).

My two favorites are Time Trap and Web of Shadows. Time Trap because it had only a single protagonist and so it allowed Greg to develope that one character more, as opposed to having to develope six and one time. Web of Shadows mainly due to Vakama's treachery. For the first time, the good guys weren't always good, and that enhanced the story.

Very hard to choose. Maze of Shadows (so much back story for the island of Mata Nui), Time Trap (Makuta, Dark Hunters and Order of Mata Nui reference. Genius. Also Vakama's best character development), Downfall (Matoro dies and doesn't come back ;-;) or Swamp of Secrets (Toa Mata history is just win). Also the books where Greg had more freedom were the best.

Inferno is probably my favorite, although I haven't read many Bionicle books. Nonetheless, it's the most enjoyable one for me.

All the rowboats, in the paintings

They keep trying to row away

And the captains' worried faces

Stay contorted and staring at the waves

They keep hanging in their golden frames

For forever, forever and a day

All the rowboats, in oil paintings

They keep trying to row away, row away

I never got too into the books, but one of my brothers read them to me a couple of times (because I was too lazy too, and I needed them to pronounce things and explain other stuff early-on). I don't remember specific books, but I enjoyed the first four of the first series a lot!

I liked Time Trap because it showed us what Greg could REALLY do when he wans't too constrained, and also Tales of the Masks because it had a bunch of pretty cool stories, but most of all, I enjoyed LLegends #11: The Final Battle. It was just so...epic.

The graphic novels weren't bad either :)

Time trap for sure. My favorite series was all of the legends but, time trap was so unique and introduced concepts that were quite awesome in my opinion, and finally gave us a book with a story not based off of sets released at the time, it gave us a story based on Dark Hunters and makuta and all of those such things.

Time Trap was simply pure, pure genius; an undisputed home run for Greg F. It was practicaly a Bionicle Twilight Zone episode, and I can't think of any other Bionicle book that can receive that distinction. Then I would probably put Tales of the Masks in second, and then maybe that story about Nidhiki that was in the first Bionicle Encyclopedia.

Because resistance is futile; Time Trap. It made up for the rest of 2005. Aside from that, maybe the 2006 novels. The Matoran finally get fed up with the Turaga, and then Jaller leads five other Matoran on a rescue plan to save the Toa Nuva. I know that Matoran were useful in prior years, 2001-2003 were major examples of heroic Matoran, but this made me think that becoming a Toa might actually be a step down from Matoran.
