I'm just echoing the common sentiment here, but I too advise starting with the 9th Doctor (1st season of the 2005 reboot) and just going in order from there. I think it's fair to say that the old series is not actually required watching, though it's definitely worth going back and watching the show's classic roots later on if you get some time. For people who are debating whether to start watching Doctor Who in the first place, I actually recommend that they try out Series 3, Episode 10, "Blink" first. Due to the nature of this episode (without going into details), it doesn't actually require much prior knowledge of the Doctor or other story arcs, and gives you a fairly good idea of what you're in for (as well as the fact that it's just such a brilliant episode).

This Saturday is best for me, since I'll be completely busy the evening of May 4th. Although Friday nights work pretty well for me too, if I may concur with Bambi. Just one day of preparation isn't much if you're doing anything more than just a standard BZPc, do you need more time to plan something special? Especially since it's the officially recognized anniversary shindig, I mean.

(Or if you're Pinkie Pie, my 24th Monthiversary) On the night of March 29th, 2011, I started watching MLP:FiM at the behest of Takuma Nuva, and I was pretty much immediately hooked. Two years worth of regular brony meetups, brony voice acting projects, and one brony convention later, it's interesting to see how simply being a part of the brony community for these two years has impacted my life in significant (and largely positive) ways. You guys might remember my 1st Brony Anniversary entry here last year, where I posted a vocal cover of Season 2's "The Flim Flam Brothers" song. Not to disappoint (I hope), I've recorded another cover for this year! "Which song?", you may ask. Well, sadly, the half-length Season 3 didn't really have any decent lengthy songs worth a cover version like last year. But then, while browsing around, I happened upon an interesting track. Pretty fascinating stuff. I always figured there were probably a few more I-types and INTJs in the fandom than in the general population, but 28% is literally an order of magnitude higher than this type is represented elsewhere. I'm an INTJ too, by the way.

I haven't been hitting Minecraft much at all lately, mostly due to boredom (I don't really have any set goal for myself in Minecraft anymore, and no creative ideas for an awesome base in the server), and partly due to a lack of free time (between work, pony projects, and a TF2 tournament). I haven't really left the server though.

Yeah, strong reactions are being seen fandom-wide right now. That said, despite being a Twi fan, I'm iffy on this. It's clearly a change pushed by Hasbro corporate to sell toys, and it's gonna be really difficult to fit in with the established mythos (let alone the repercussions on the mane six relations); but if any team can do pull this off, it's the people over at DHX Media. I'm interested to see how they handle this for the finale and season 4.

So kind of a "Choose Your Own Adventure" story, only with another, deeper, RPG-like layer of decisions and possible paths based on your character and personality choice? Judging by your example categories, this sounds incredibly complicated and potentially really difficult to make, but if you could actually pull it off, I'd definitely be interested.
