Looked back at some older blog entries from you, and yeah wow, you're right. Glad you seem to have come along way since then.
Maybe not many people will ever see this, but I think you chose as good of a time as any to post it. And as long you go on living as a good person, you'll be doing more than any apology you might give.

Man, I remember you from the old comedies guide that used to be pinned in that forum. You were probably long since gone by the time I became active. Hope you're doing well and enjoy looking around here, but you've come after many people have left and the last few remnants are starting to.
Yeah, premier perks were turned on for the last anniversary and have just been kinda left on since. Anything from the pre-2011 forums no longer counts for your posts, but everything since then does, including posts in every forum, status updates, and blog entries/comments.

You hate to see it. I definitely had this happen to me a time or two coming back from the sandwich shop when I lived on campus.

Hope it gets better for you. We all go through bad times and we all did weird stuff like that back in the day.

As soon as the announcements hit, I packed as much up from my apartment as I could and moved back home. While I don't like having to be alone, I'd much rather be alone out here than in the city. It's much safer, and I think it's better for my mental health too. At school, I felt lonely unless I got out and socialized every day. Here, I feel less lonely overall even though I'm actually all alone most of the time.
That said, I do miss seeing people on campus every day in person, and I've lost contact with most of the acquaintances I wasn't all that close with. And I much prefer in person classes to online.

Yeah, I can relate to these sentiments a lot. Pathfinder was also one of the better things to happen with me in 2019. Hopefully this next one is a bit better.

2019 in film for me was defined by going to see The Lego Movie 2 on my birthday and being told the showtime listed on the website wasn't an actual showtime.
I actually did see 3 movies though Endgame, Alita, and Detective Pikachu. Not huge on movies, but all three were decent enough. Endgame was probably the best.

Man, now I'm a little more confident and I stay clean faced most of the time

Thotlgard
You know, I wasn't expecting to see the term Thot used on BZP in the comments of this blog entry, and I certainly wasn't expecting it to be from you.

That's a long time to work on anything, but it certainly paid off!

Glad to hear that man.

I don't think I'd be much help with the design, but I may be able to build a section.

Glad to hear it, I'll probably take a look at the new chapter sometime in the next few days.

Yeah I'm one of the few who got boosted by this, since I joined at the tail end of the old forums, and I was very shy and hardly ever posted. It is kind of sad in a way that some people got their counts lowered and now we'll probably never see anyone reach the far upper ranks.
This whole situation makes me think back to the old days when BZP would offer post count increases as prizes in contests, or more recently, referral bonuses. Since manually upping post count is apparently impossible now, we'll probably never see anything like that again, not that we were going to have to resort to post count prizes any time soon anyway.

Always great to hear from you too! Yeah, isn't that wild? It feels so recent that we were all playing Mafia together. Thanks!
It really does. I miss playing mafia.
And I really hope you can make it back out to Brickfair sometime! I don't know if I just didn't see you last time you were there or if it happened to be one of the years I couldn't make it. Either way, I won't let that happen again.

Always great to hear from you man. Crazy to hear you're out here getting married. Congrats on that and graduation!

Awesome! What's your character like?
He's a slime who is also a retired pirate. His name is Boneless Pete. He somehow manages to be one of, if not the most, competent characters in the party.

Glad to hear everything's going well. I've been playing Pathfinder as well recently.

Man, hard to believe it's been that long. Maybe it just doesn't feel that way because I just saw you at Brickfair.

Honestly at this point I don't really remember you being cynical and curmudgeony, I just remember enjoying your photo comics back in the day. Maybe it's because I don't really think we interacted directly really, but like I said, I did enjoy reading those comics.
I hope you stick around for a while.

Yeah I feel like blogs definitely got hit the hardest.

Yep, I even miss the 2013-14 era which is when I felt most active, but was long past any sort of real heyday.

Yeah I'm kinda at the same place, living away from a home with a lack of space has really slowed my LEGO hobby, but it's definitely still a part of me, and I'd like to still be active in whatever community is left.

Yep, I got into BZP mostly by reading the comedies forum, so I definitely remember the state of things back then. In fact I'm pretty sure my first ever post was an awful attempt at a comedy that surely disregarded any of your advice.
There was another major forum update last year similar to the one in 2011. Thankfully everything was brought over in terms of actual content this time, but that was where we got those changes like the updates to counting posts and the loss of the proto bar.
