I'd like to know what "objective standards" render all of Kraggh's points moot. The ones about the Death Star's inadequate starfighter defenses, its glaring weakness, some corny one-liners, the stormtroopers' inability to fire straight, a good number of lightsaber fights, how quickly Obi-Wan and Vader aged, and maybe even Leia's slave outfit all seem valid to me.This doesn't even make sense as a parody. A parody needs to still be grounded in some sort of realism or make its case through workable humour and taking points and stretching them to the extreme. You didn't make any legible points? You can't switch the order the movies were made and call your point made, because by making a parody that revolves around such a poorly and obviously flawed premise, your parody falls apart. Instead of reading as a fun or intelligent parody, it reads as a "I don't know what I'm talking about, I looked this up once maybe".
Not to mention that a good chunk of your parody is just factually false. There are actual objective standards for writing and storytelling, and in all of those ways, the OT is better than the PT.
Like I said, a parody needs to have a workable basis, this doesn't.

Kraggh, you are brilliant.

Thank goodness your dad isn't paralyzed. I hope he makes a quick recovery.

So who is this Rob person, and how can he do nothing of significance better than I can?
-
Finding Dory? What? I was not expecting that.
I hope Disney-Pixar circumvents the possibility of a lot of stale jokes and decides to utilize some solid character development. Dory's a cool character; I'd hate to see her reduced to plain comic relief.

The Shadowed One adopted his TSO moniker after he grew tired of Ancient saying, "Krakalin, what's crackalackin'?"

Now I wish I'd been around during the old days.

We haven't really talked, but from what I've seen of you, you definitely aren't an absolute moron. I'm not sure I can tell you to stop kicking yourself when I haven't stopped completely, but at least don't kick yourself so much.
Besides, considering you paid for this blog, I'm pretty sure you're allowed to do whatever you want on it within BZPower's rules and guidelines.

Good list. Sadly, I've only heard a few of the albums you included -- namely, Cold Hard Want, Vital, Babel, and Scars & Stories. I don't think Scars & Stories deserves its place, which is a bit surprising considering my overall fondness for the band, but to each his own (and, a postscript, Cold Hard Want is awesome).

Seconded.You had a problem.
The solution, clearly, was more Goldfish.

Wait, the speed of time can be measured or at least ascertained through mathematics?

I'm neither strong optimist nor strong pessimist, so I guess that means I'll get the best of both worlds...?

I vote compromise: something in between this color and your original dark green.

As long as he stays away from Pokemon.
Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very far away from Pokemon.
...Megan Fox as Misty.
Oh my goodness. I -- I don't even want to think about it.

Billykid Sangma
I'm reminded strongly of Billy Joel.

Dear Xaeraz:
You're so silly. Just because a movie is enjoyable doesn't mean it can be considered great or influential. Everyone knows that the masses pander to shallow films with little virtue rather than the true classics of our time.
Sincerely,
-A Middle-Aged Tightwad

It's fine, Geddy, your pretentiousness is justified by the awesomeness that is "2112". ("Octavarium" gives you a run for your money, though. )
-
Maybe someday, I'll read all of this entry. Right now, I'm still nursing the wound in my heart that was opened after I discovered you omitted Marion Ravenwood from your list.
-
Wait, Megan Fox has fans?
Yeah, I was shocked when I found out, too.
-
I'm not a Megan Fox hater, honestly, but nor am I a Megan Fox fan -- I was leery of the new TMNT back when I only knew Michael Bay was involved, and this news changes almost nothing.

The Black Keys. "Tighten Up".
That is all.

Kraggh's point was that the scenes with Leia in that outfit were included mainly for fanservice reasons (which is debatable, perhaps, but rather subjective in my opinion).
