SmoothJazz is led through the crowd. They all fall silent. --- Taka wipes her brow. SmoothJazz ascends the gallows. Voltex sighs, relieved. --- The hangman beckons. Smoothjazz says his final words. "Wasn't me, this time." --- The lever is thrown. SmoothJazz falls through open air. The rope is pulled taut. --- The Acrobat dies. Innocent, and yet guilty. Hanged on the first day. --- --- The crowd mobs Kaiser. They push him after SmoothJazz. He climbs up the stairs. --- Kaiser is hanged, next. The Clown, the true killer, dies. Hanged on the first day. --- What was with this scene? Does Burn emulate Zer0? Storming out of the house, with the intention ofKilling the pest, he found the streets utterly empty. As heLooked around for the source of the noise, he saw the monkeyMarching along about 100 yards down the street. A scufflingNoise above him went unheard as he followed the beast.On his reaching it, it repeated, much louder this time. A second monkey, which hadProbably been following him on the rooftops, had now jumped off, and landed on MT.Quickly, the two Brakas, joined shortly by several others, pummeled the Matoran,Reducing him to a mass of bone fractures and contusions. He was a Villager, killed on theSecond night by the Rahi Tamer.The animals returned to the oneUnder whose command the crime had been carried out. Elsewhere, aVery suspicious giftWas being opened by a nervous Matoran, the Detective was investigating his man,X was being X, and an unfortunate soul was being interrogated by the Guard.Yours truly was eagerly awaiting the release of Destiny, and all the others were catchingZ's in their beds.
