IC: Sword Matoran - Hallway.

 

The Matoran's sword strike was abruptly halted by a powerful explosion of energy that flung him through the air, slamming into the wall before skidding down onto the floor. He stared in horror at his legs - broken and mangled by the powerful concussive force of the explosion - before passing out from the shock. 

 

OOC: And before you yell at me for beating up another Matoran, I'd like to point out that Revenge's profile says this:

 

Gear: special Zamor-sphere launcher, equipped with a small, dagger-like, bayonet.  the launcher also has a special apparatus (because anything that would be useful to put in a zamor is banned on campus) designed to fill a zamor with pure energy, making it explode on contact. (This is strong enough to send a Rahkshi flying several feet, bit won't do more than a scorch mark on it's own)

 

Matoran are much smaller and weaker than Rahkshi, and since Revenge fired his Zamor close to the Matoran's feet, the explosive force of the blast is going to do significantly more damage than it would to a Rahkshi. 

 

On the plus side, at least this guy isn't dead.

Mortsia witnessed the explosion. He ran and swung to the poor creature's side. He looked at Revenge, slightly annoyed. Then, because there was little time to speak in a poem,he said, "do you want me to take him to Palma?"

"Yes please,  There is still one somewhere out there."  He handed the Matoran to (Mortsia)  "Kuma, I am sorry about that but could you help me get this last one?  I don't want them getting killed by someone."

"Back off and you don't join my ever expanding list of enemies. Kuma scribbled a quick note saying: I'm not like them. picked up the Matoran and, cradling him began walking quickly where te other Matoran had gone. "I'm taking them back to the mainland Revenge. And I'm not coming back."

Mortsia looked at Kuma, and said, "This Matoran will bleed out! Do you really want another dead? We have a skilled quick-healer, she should be able to do something." Realizing something, Mortsia took off the Matoran's mask.

OOC: If the Matoran needs to be "bleeding" Loucs, then correct me, but I interpreted mangled as bent in ways they should not be that would be quite painful.

 

IC: Kuma

 

"It's not an open wound just broken legs. And put that mask back on him, he'll die without it!". Kuma snatched and replaced the mask. "Besides Matoran don't have blood, they have some weird oil. I think only Skakdi and Rahi have blood. Matoran may be fragile compared to us but he'll recover fine. Palma can't be trusted. She's a Shadow Kraata and in league with the Makuta. Yes I said it. We are fighting each other when we should be fighting them. Come with or fight Tridax here. If the village is attacked I will see to it that they are prepared and die defending them if need be. We're not like other Rahkshi, we're not all evil. Don't let Makuta turn you into that. When the village is prepared I will return and fight for freedom, alone if need be, die for it if I must. But I will not fight merely for Matoran but for the freedom of all of us slaves." Kuma left and reached the disk Matoran, still cradling the other with sorrow in his eyes. He gave the injured Matoran to his comrade and got between them and the Rahkshi the disk Matoran had been fighting facing the Rahkshi with his staff raised and held in one hand. With the other, he scribbled a note and showed it to the conscious Matoran: Exit this way follow me. "Now back off Rahkshi, these Matoran are under my protection. He began inching towards the exit then looked to see if the Matoran were following him.

"You pathetic fool. You would rather have him live out the rest of his days in pain and agony? That's even if he survives! You are then no better than the rest of us.

And what do you think the Matoran will do when you get there? Do you think they will take you in? Oh, no. They will take it as a sign of aggression, carrying a half dead Matoran. They will think you did it. But, if Palma heals him, and he leaves of free will, then no harm done- well, not as much." Mortsia said, his temper rising.

"Because none of us are perfect. Yet everyday, I do my karzing best to be a better person- not just a monster. Also, that was a BOMB that went off under him. I would be surprised if he could take a step ever again. Nerve damage, internal bleeding, shattered bones, all that. And Palma? She is perhaps the best of us! I doubt she will tell Tridax."

IC: Sword Matoran.

 

Lying unconscious in Kuma's arms, the wounded Matoran's heartlight slowly began to fade. The shock, combined with internal bleeding in his shattered legs, meant that he would soon die without immediate treatment.

IC: Disk Launcher Matoran.

 

He heard voices in the distance, and looked towards the end of the hallway to see two Rahkshi, one of them cradling the corpse of his third friend. They hadn't seen him yet, so he quietly slunk away, then broke into a run when he was out of earshot.

Nightmare was sitting back in his chair, He realized he forgot his staff in the hall. He walked back to the hall to get his Staff.

"Thank you." Mortsia bowed. He then took the matoran, reverted to flight mode(slightly tricky with clawed feet), and flew to Palma. He looked at the poor bloke in his lap. I can make it, Mortsia thought, over and over. He saw a Rahkshi slowly heading towards Palma's office too. Move out of the way!" He shouted, flying by.

 

IC: Vitesse

What- Vitesse saw the Rahk fly by- with a matoran in his lap. She hoped to help, so she reverted to flight mode, too, and flew to Palma's. Vitesse knew that she had to make up for the mistakes she made.

"He's hiding over there. Play it cool.". He walked by the hiding sopt and pretending not to notcie the Matoran, dropped his note from earlier where the Matoran could read it if he wanted.

IC: Final Matoran - Library.

 

When Kuma dropped his note, he would find that his assumption had been incorrect, and that there was no Matoran in the wide, empty hallways outside the gym, except for the lifeless body of the one felled by Vitnesse's kick earlier.

Having being wandering the eerie, terrifying halls for what felt like eons, the Matoran finally found himself all the way over on the other side of the school, in what looked to be a library of some kind, filled with books and seemingly devoid of Rahkshi.

 

Keeping low, he crawled behind one of the shelves and finally collapsed from exhaustion, unconsciousness claiming him. 

 

OOC: Last Matoran open for interaction from anyone who was already in or near the library.

Revenge shook his head.  "He is crazed by fear and totally lost, even if he was hiding there 'playing it cool' wouldn't work."  He turned around.  "You go around that way and I'll go this way got it?"

Having left the library some time ago, I lay on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. I'd come so far, given up so much. This had to work. Otherwise, everything I'd accomplished and lost would've been for nothing.

Well, tools had cooled down enough. Now he would need some straight metal... Unless he could get some string. But finding some random string was not going to be convenient.

 

Instead, Vaalku thought about how to twist and shape metal into strings for the harp. So far it was really hard.

The two burst into Palma's office to see a white/gold Rahk (Vlad) with a matoran.

"Oh Healer of us

We have an issue

This ones legs are a bust

And we need to mend muscle, nerve, and tissue."

Vitesse frowned, the thought of the injured matoran pushed back. Why speak in poems? And... Wasn't he just speaking normally? Vitesse shook her head. Then, she saw the poor bloke, his neck at an odd angle. Vitesse ran over to his side.

[Some Random Phrase]

IC Mar'jik: 

Marjik was browsing shelves when the surge hit him like a wave. Fear, anger, despair. Shaking slightly as the wave subsided, Marjik tracked it to it's source --not a hard thing to do-- and saw the Matoran. Three questions hit him like rocks. Who was this, how did he get in, and what to do. He quickly processed the information, arriving at a conclusion. Get medical treatment for the Matoran, then figure the rest out. Gingerly picking the Matoran up, as if scared that he would shatter into a thousand shards, Marjik carefully stepped down the halls, towards the infirmary.

He woke up in a Rahkshi's (Mar'jik) arms, and struggled for release, screaming in terror.

Ic: Siren (library)

Siren was reading a book on stealth, invisible naturally while reading it, when a... Matoran of all things came in and collapsed under a nearby bookshelf. Putting the book down, Siren uncloaked and walked towards the matoran, and nudged it with her foot, then bent over to look at its face.

 

Ooc: interacting with last matoran. On mobile.

IC: Suvak looked at the unconscious form of Punch, picking him up and helping him onto a bed in the Crawler.

 

"I have no clue. Stress maybe?" 

 

He wasn't a medical specialist by any means, and this latest disaster was taking its toll. Tridax had wanted to see if a more active and threat-filled assignment would exhaust the students enough to curb the disturbing rise in deaths. Instead it had made it worse, mostly thanks to the Visorak. Yet another of the Makuta's creations with an insatiable appetite for destruction...

Alpha, Era and Kat kept their flight in relative peace. With no Rahkshi around, the Oohnorak had turned on the local wildlife, breaking into smaller teams and idly hunting the lesser game down more out of boredom than any real purpose. The Venom Flyers were following them, enjoying the easier chances for meals and, for the one or two that spotted the trio, not wanting to pick a fight with beings that had already taken out two of them. 

The Kagahrak's screen of darkness was dissipating from the skies over Farsholt, revealing that she was still there, merrily stomping the buildings into dust, as her swarming minions webbed up anything left standing in her wake

 

 

 

IC: When Vlad first came into the infirmary, Palma thought he was carrying Short. The little Rahkshi fit the stature and did have a habit of picking fights. But no. A Matoran. What the Karz was one of them doing here of all places?

Wait, scratch that, what the Karz were two of them doing here of all places?

Mortsia had come in carrying another, its legs dangling in crooked way that legs should not dangle in. But as taken aback as she was by the appearance of two critically injured Matoran, her medical training was as deeply ingrained as her distaste for bright light.

 

"Okay, I'm going to get fixing these two. It is probably going to take me a while. So in the meantime you're going to explain exactly how it happened and what is going on!"

"We need to find the last Matoran. I'll go check if its already in the infirmary, Mortsia scour the halls and Revenge check the dorms and leave your launcher here" Kuma glared with this last phrase. "Oh and then find someone we can trust to check the library and then someone else to see if either of the other two are alive. Oh wait Mortsia's in the infirmary, okay I'll scour the halls. He'd never return to the Gym and would have been seen in the Refectory. If he leaves, good for him. Let's move!"

IC: Sliver - Doublecross (Farsholt Village).

 

Waking up after being attacked by the Visorak was a slow and painful experience. But at least I could see now, even if what I was seeing wasn't exactly something I wanted to see. 

 

The Visorak had me - and a few others, it seemed - strung up in cocoons of webbing in amongst the ruined buildings of the village. "Karzing spiders...." I needed to get out of here. Taking a deep breath, I called on my powers and began to summon up a cyclone around me, hoping to tear myself free of the webbing.

IC: Exxan - Backstab (Jungle).

 

"Cao?" still no sign of him. Above me, a handful of rahks were flying in the direction of Farsholt village. The attack was already beginning. "Sorry," I sighed. Hopefully he could find his own way back to the Crawler, wherever he was.

 

Switching to flight mode, I took to the air and started off after the other rahks. It's time to submit this assignment...

IC: Illusive - Hallways.

 

I wandered the hallways, marvelling at the sight of fresh blood on the floors. It seemed the Matoran and Rahkshi had done battle. Perfect.... But these marks.... there were signs of other scuffles, too big to be Matoran.

 

The Rahkshi had been fighting each other as well? Even better....

IC: Xara - Dorm.

 

Sitting on the edge of my bed with Sand lying curled up beside me, I couldn't hide my tears. In my hands I held one of the Talons, turning it over slowly in my hand. I was reliving the night I'd gotten the weapons: the Wreck the Halls assignment. I'd danced through that village, electrocuting the Matoran, tearing through their homes and destroying everything they'd held dear....

 

....and I'd enjoyed it. 

 

Angry sparks crackled over the surface of my armour, and my hand clenched around the narrow blade so hard that it cut into my palm. We'd brought this on ourselves.... the Matoran attacking Corpus Rahkshi.... it was all my fault.... everyone's fault..... Tridax's fault. 

 

I flung the knife so hard it embedded itself in the stone wall in front of me, an arc of blood trailing from my hand as I did so. Sand meowed loudly, jumping to her feet. "Sorry girl," I managed to say, patting her with my good hand. "It's okay...."

 

But it wasn't. It hadn't been for a very long time now. And I hated myself for not seeing it sooner.

The scream coupled with the burst of strong emotion took Mar'jik by surprise, resulting in him dropping the Matoran. "I'm not going to hurt you.", he said when he had caught his breath.

Not understanding Kraata-speak, the panicked Matoran assumed Marjik's words were a threat of some kind, and reached for his weapon. But his weapons were gone, dropped when he'd fallen asleep in the library.

 

With no way to defend himself, the Matoran ran.

Mortsia was about to speak, before Vitesse cut in. "Some explosion went off under him, I think. There's other matoran out there besides these two. One is... Dead, and the other, no idea." Vitesse said, sighing.

"I think they are the causeway guards, but no idea why they came here. They seemed terrified, which begs the question- why come here?" Vitesse glanced back at the matoran. How could she have been so foolish? She sighed, and stood up.

I heard movement. Turning, I could make out that some Rahk was trying to get themselves unstuck. Then I realized that I could move too.

 

I smiled. Good thing I still had my blades....er....spikes. Karz.

 

Regardless I still tried to cut my way out.

Revenge shook his head at Kuma who had just re-stated what Revenge had said and acted like he was in charge.  But at least he was cooperating.  Revenge headed off in the opposite direction, refusing to listen to Kuma's orders to drop his weapon.

By a cruel twist of fate, Caoutchouc and Exxan had just missed each other. He landed on the soft sands near the Crawler and began to work his way there, limping but able to cover this last distance.

Vlad nodded broodingly at Vitesse's words, and adrded: "Zey showed up suddenly in zer Gym, unt started firing on us, apparently in defense. I cannot blame zem... ve proved zat zey needed to defend zemselves vhen zer fools amonk us blew zis vun's legs to bits, snapped zis vun's neck... even killed vun of zem!" His fists clenched at the memory of Nightmare being posted arriving but a moment before he did, smashing his weapon down on her defenseless body... If only he had been written ran faster, broken out of that ice block with more haste, he could have saved her life from that Rahkshi who made of for his deficit in size with a surplus of both cruelty and idiocy.

 

He should feed on him. Show him how it felt to be helpless, weak, before an enemy who would kill just because.

 

No... he mustn't. Indulge himself once, and he would feed his compulsion, allow it to grow in strength and power over him. He could generally resist attacking others as it was, but every time he broke down made him more likely to break down again.

 

But to get revenge upon that miniscule villain, it would almost be worth it.

Something still didn't add up. Why? Something clicked- what had Nightmare said about his allies? They were going to Nynrah, despite him telling them not to. She reflected back on it for a moment. Didn't she see to brightly colored shapes on the island? "Hold on... Nightmare killed the matoran, but who prompted them to head to the school? Nightmare told me that his allies were considering going to Nynrah. I don't see them near the action, so they are either deaf or not here. Perhaps they did go to Nynrah, and did something over there, which made the matoran come to Corpus? But why go over there- Ohhhh..." Vitesse said, closing her eyes. This was not good.
