IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Astral Medbay

Gorn entered the Medbay, pressing his hand against the deepest of his wounds to prevent further leakage. He noticed the bot he had almost killed earlier, likely in the process of having functionality restored to their legs. It seemed that even in it's most vulnerable state, the Hero Factory was as generous as ever, providing medical care to those who had slaughtered their own only hours before. Gorn didn't understand their way of thinking. He probably never would. At the very least, this attack would force them to face their own mortality. Perhaps now, they would see just how dangerous these killers really were.

Gorn leaned against a wall, deciding to wait until the Medbay was a little less crowded before seeking treatment himself. Even omitting the murderers, there were still many others here in far worse condition than he was.

IC: Riot - The Astral (Medical Bay)

Stepping back outside into the hallway after having his vision repaired and acquiring a quick core recharge, Riot honestly had no idea as to what he should do with himself.

I suppose I could just wander around the ship for a little while and try to familiarise myself with its layout. It's not like there's anything else to be concerned about at the moment.

IC: Andrea Plume

Location: Astral

With little else to do than to simply wait, Andrea decided to catch up on the last fifty years by going through any files she could find on what ever online backup there was of the factory's database. She thought for a moment about where she should start, before then deciding to check up on how Quark had been doing all this time. "What have you been up to, old friend?" She quietly muttered as the file loaded.

OOC: If you want to, this would be a fantastic opportunity for some exposition, Zippy, but if not, it's not strictly necessary.

OOC: I'm not sure what you mean by exposition but I can give you a self-indulgent summary of her career!

IC: Andrea Plume

Plume would find that Quark had continued to have a very successful career in Hero Factory. Until relatively recently, her team was comprised of herself, a bomb disposal and demolitions Hero named Ken Render, and a sub-temperature cold-themed Hero named Jack Kelvin. In addition, there were also rookies that came and went, as Quark would take them on for in-field training before passing them off to more suitable teams. They tackled many missions together.

Some time from the present day, there was a disaster on one mission, wherein a collapsing ship was caught in an energy storm and the two rookies with the team were trapped. Kelvin attempted to free the two, as Quark was too heavy to safely walk to them without running the risk of having the segment of ship break off. Quark sent Render to get something for the others to grab and hold on to.

During this, Quark was determined to keep a firm grip on Kelvin, but he insisted he couldn't reach with her acting as a safety line. She relented, and as she released him, the energy storm grew even more fierce, tearing the segment of ship containing Kelvin and the rookies into the deadly storm.

Quark would search, but find no trace of them, as the energy storm had dissolved their bodies and besides that, they would not have survived in the harshness of space. After this, she took no more rookies and spent much of her time locked away, guilt-ridden. She was eventually convinced to take two more rookies, which she selected at random out of spite- an aquatic Hero named Wilbur Flood, and a heavy-class Hero named Eloise Thumper. Her reports note that she is thoroughly improving, though she still hesitates to put her teammates in danger, and has even taken on a rookie of her own accord recently- a sharpshooter Hero named Mara Quiver.

IC: THE KESTREL [space]

The civilian workers aboard the Kestrel hesitated for as long as they realistically could before finally entering the portal.

After all, losing contact with Focus would only leave them in deeper trouble than they were already in; if Hero Factory came looking for Focus, it would undoubtedly come looking for its missing ship as well.

IC: FOCUS [Mysteries]

"Yesterday, maybe," the Hero replied. "I'm Core now. I'm leaving the factory behind."

IC: Shellshredder- Random Reflections :P

In the midst of some random pub, Shellshredder pondered what his next move should be. The though of leaving the planet, running about, causing havoc, and watching with sheer pleasure as his victims and those who attempted to save them tried to grasp how a robot could be so sick, so... demented. He grinned, in his mind, he was no mere robot, he was above them all on a level they could hardly even begin to comprehend. Then again, on reflection, he didn't quite remember why. However, he would likely get bored with that quickly and he was rather curious as to what would happen with the portal. Granted, it might eventually suck the entire planet into oblivion, but then again, he's suffered worse.

IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

"At least you know, pardner. You'd be surprised how many varmints wander in and think we can't stop 'em, for whatever reason." He shook his head. "I remember one guy- Quark cuffed him while he was tryin' to rob some charity place, really no-good hooligan he was- and he kept shoutin' that we were in th' wrong. I don't mean he was robbin' no crooked scam, either. We checked th' place because, hey, maybe he's yellin' about something important. Turns out, nah, he just didn't feel he should be in jail fer stealin' because he was more important or somethin', I dunno."

He glanced to Night Stalker lazily. "Do th' crime, do th' time. Sure, it might get more complicated if there's more to it- like, I dunno, that ol' chestnut about stealin' to feed yer family- but these things, they gotta have consequences. Galaxy'd be a mess without 'em."

IC Jet - Astral:

The rookie grimaced as the medbots made their repairs. He couldn't bring himself to watch them work, so he simply stared up at the ceiling and tried to distract himself by concentrating on the various conversations going on round him. Not that he was eavesdropping -- it was difficult to not listen when everyone was conversing at a moderate volume all in the same room.

IC Flint - Tower Ruins:

He sighed as the Astral took off, but couldn't blame its occupants for being impatient. There were other ships nearby that hadn't yet taken off, though Flint noted that he was too far away to catch any of them.

Well, except one.

LOIS still sat where he had left it, undamaged, save the singe mark of a stray laser blast on the left wing (Wolfe wasn't going to be happy about that). Flint mulled it over and decided he'd better take the ship before any villains or punk kids could snatch it. He could dock it with the Astral once the two vessels arrived at Mechna.

"Hey, Vex!" he called across the battlefield. "Need a ride?"

IC Wolfe - Quark Qruiser:

Wolfe smiled slightly as he listened to the rookies talk, but said smile soon faded. Dang it, I left LOIS behind...

"Funny how people are, ain't it?" He frowned a little, at nothing in particular. "Sometimes I wonder what goes through their heads. OOC: Time for a new profile

Unlimited Power profile:

Name: Ohm P. McPowers

Powers, Abilities and Weapons: Ohm has the power to manipulate reality itself as he sees fit. He rarely uses this, though, instead relying mostly on his gigantic mechanical body (which can be downsized to an average size humanoid form) and the billions of rocket launchers and energy cannons and miniguns built into him. He also possesses the Orb of Infinity, granting him the power to see all possible future events, which allows him to predict everyone's moves to a startlingly accurate degree.

Appearance: Ohm can either be a gigantic, dark, metallic robot standing taller than Hero Factory itself, or a humanoid form the size of a normal hero. His smaller humanoid form is very handsome and attractive, to the point that he is actually able to utilize it to seduce anyone he wants (except for Dorothy Quark).

Bio: Ohm has an unknown past, and is extremely mysterious and such.

Location: His super-star destroyer juggernaut X1000 ship which is inside the portal.

SHIP PROFILE: The Super-Star Destroyer Juggernaut X1000
Ship Size: Colossal, larger than the Hero Factory asteroid.
Pilots (these are PCs onboard): Just Ohm, because he's that awesome and powerful and handsome.
NPCs onboard (if applicable): Legions upon legions of Super Robots, with tank missiles and miniguns all over.
Communications Systems:  Can communicate with anything, anywhere.
Navigation and Drive:  The ship can jump to any place in the universe instantaneously, and has an infinity map of the entirety of it.
Weapons Systems/Armor: The ship is absolutely indestructible with its black-hole matter hull. It also has an infinite number of beam guns, each powerful enough to tear an entire galaxy apart.
Propulsion Systems: Although the ship doesn't truly need to, it can dodge anything and fly super fast and manoeuvre better than any ship in the universe.
Land vs. Dock (Atmospheric): The ship can dock with any vessel, although it mostly deals in swallowing them into its massive internal ship yard. It can also land on any planet large enough and strong enough to support it, although gravity enhancers make it so that even the weakest of grounds can support it.

IC Jet - Medbay, Astral:

He continued to stare up at the ceiling thoughtfully as he listened to Render. The older Hero sounded like the kind of guy Jet would enjoy having as a teammate. He wondered, briefly, which team Mission Control would assign him to when the time came, and whether or not it would be a good fit. Perhaps it was silly, but he worried about that kind of thing every now and then.

GM IC THE BRAIN MASTER (THE BRAIN MASTER'S EVIL LAIR)

The brain master skittered around his lab, working on three angles in light of his recent defeat: armoring the brain creatures to withstand Makuro's lasers, changing their composition, or...better yet...have the organic creatures control the robots from afar using a radio signal. The latter solution would be so much better - robots pledging their allegiance as he drove by...

GM NPC MERRICK FORTIS

Fortis glared at Striker. "Nobody's going anywhere until I get an answer to my question," he said. "Why didn't you come home when you heard we were under attack? Why were you still on Antropolis?"

GM NPC FURNO (IN SPACE, TRAVELING ALONGSIDE THE ASTRAL)

"If it's okay with you, I'd rather not stop on Mechna," said Furno. "I want to see what's beyond this portal - why those idiots opened it in the first place."

-------------------------------------------

GM IC THE ASTRAL

The Astral passed through the portal.

GM NPC STORMER (BRIDGE)

"Alright, everyone, we are approaching the planet Mechna. This planet, according to our records, has always cooperated with us, but I've always had a feeling that something shifty is going on underneath the surface. Tread carefully and trust no one."

"Our mission is to reverse the effects of the portal and shut it down."

GM IC FRAVI

In response to the ship-wide announcement, Fravi lay down on the bottom of her cell, pressed her face to the floor, and put her hands behind her head. She forced herself not to scream.

Part of her wanted to yell at the Heroes for being idiots, that Mechna was a robotic slave planet, but she was too filled with dread to even move.

GM IC 78 EAST

"Mechna is a robotic slave planet, you idiots!"

GM IC ??? & ??? & ??? (MECHNA)

A fleet of five dark ships took off from Mechna, heading deeper into the heart of...where ever they were. This would in full view of the Astral's cockpit and sensors.

GM NPC BULK

"Or maybe we should pursue those ships," Bulk suggested.

GM NPC STRINGER

"But if we close the portal while we are out pursuing those ships, we will be stuck here," Stringer said. "And so will the people flying those ships, captives or not."

GM NPC STORMER

"If that happens, we'll find another way out," Stormer said. "Because we're heroes, and heroes don't give up."

OOC: Oh hey, fishers is back. :D Did Stormer teleport out of conversation again? I mean, no problems if he did, but I still find it funny.

IC: Eloise Thumper and Mara Quiver - Villain Lockup

Quiver glanced at Thumper, confused at Stormer's sudden exit. Thumper looked up from where she was looking at a cell. "He's Alpha Team Leader, Mara. He's probably super busy."

"O-Oh," she nodded uncertainly, though she was worried about Stormer's announcement from the bridge. Both turned at the villain's shout, and Thumper approached.

"Robot slave planet?" Thumper considered this. "Well, that just makes them an evil planet. We'll stop them!"

~

IC: Dorothy Quark and Timothy Gyro - Quark Qruiser

She watched the Astral go headlong into the portal, and gritted her dental plating. She had to hope they knew what they were doing, taking three fifths of her team in there. She hung back briefly, fiddling with the ship's sensors.

"Wow! Are we going in there?" called Gyro, having looked up from Scarlet's silent condition.

"Not yet," she grumbled. "I'm going to see what we can find out from out here first."

She analysed the readings of the machine.

OOC: I don't know how much info Quark can get, since it's a portal, but hey, it's in space, and wormholes are a thing.

~

IC: Wilbur Flood - Furno's Ship

"Uh, sure," he said, though he cast a worried glance at the massive portal. "Yes, that sounds fine."
