Speaking as someone who's sat through one Doctor Who episode ever and is, admittedly, pretty ignorant on what he's done to the franchise, I'll at least say for Moffat that he has it in him to do good things - Jekyll was a fantastic one-shot of a series and there were moments in Sherlock's first series that were great to watch.

C'mon, Xae, you know you wanna participate

you knooow you waaant to

I'd rather not participate in the aping of a series helmed by a man who has deemed a group I proudly belong to as "boring to write," and has trivialized other similar groups in a disgustingly dismissive and phobic manner.

Also, that's the last of that I will say in this topic. If you want to talk about it, PM me, otherwise, no.

That's a very understandable position. I'll stop with the Sherlock now.

I'd assume that we're still waiting on people to PM for the scene to show up?... or maybe Burnmad's just writing it still.

Or maybe Lloyd was just saying that he wasn't in this game. That is what I got out of it. =P

A proxy speaking role doesn't exactly fit the theme of this game either. I expect the Secret roles to be more like Quest-Givers or something.

(Not sure how they would work, but they sound awesome. They can give a quest to a player each round, and if they don't complete it they die? If they do complete it they get something good? Not sure yet, but that sounds worth testing at some point, if they aren't in this game.)

I'll have to keep that concept in mind, Portal.

But I still think that Lloyd's post is related to the game on some level more significant than informing us cryptically of his lack of involvement in it.

Night One: The First Blows

It was Pupwa's turn to watch, when the killing was to go down. He and the rest of the bunch had slipped into the city without a hitch, and now the first of them to kill, Kranan, was working his way towards their target. That target was Unit, who was walking home after a long day's work. Kranan swiftly but carefully moved from shadow to shadow until he was directly behind his victim. Then, making noise couldn't be avoided, and as Kranan closed the last few yards between them, Unit turned, and had just enough time to let out a scream before the Shadow Lord was upon him. Luckily for him, help was near that night, and two people heard that scream. The first, and closer, rushed into the street with a warm light about him. The enraged Shadow Lord let out a high-pitched shriek as he he was set ablaze by a spell. Thanks to the power of type advantages, the moments-ago predator had been reduced to prey, a pile of ash where there had once stood a powerful and dark king. Just as Unit's unexpected savior returned from where he had come, the second voice that had heard the would-be victim's cry came to his side. It was none other than the Doctor, who quickly patched up Unit, and escorted him back to his home, where he was to finally get some rest that night. So ended the life of the Shadow Lord Cumberbatch, the Living Shadow.

Shadow Lord Kranan incinerated.

Pupwa looked on in horror as the horrible, fiery enemy emerged behind a building, but with the element of surprise, he was sure to be able to bring him down. He was just about to spring from the shadows in which he hid, when a hand grasped his shoulder, quickly followed by another sliding a knife across his throat. He hadn't even the time to shriek before he was killed, and dropped to the ground unceremoniously. The killer slipped back into the shadows, which he had proved a better user of than even the mighty Shadow Lord, the Dark Caster Saruman. The reason, of course, was that he had heavily invested in his SNEAKY attribute. Meanwhile, a figure in a black cloak looked upon all of the events mentioned from atop a house. If one could see under his hood, they would find the could see no face there at all. But no one had the chance, for he disappeared after the Doctor had left with Unit, to observe the other events of that night.

Elsewhere in the city, Portalfig found himself in quite a predicament. He had just been on his way home from a few NOGBREWS at the local pub, when he was confronted by a tall figure in white and golden armor. "Stop right there! You shall finally taste punishment for your evil deeds!" The figure shouted. Portalfig was rather confused by this, for he had committed no recent evil deeds, to his knowledge. "But I've not--" He started, but was interrupted by another ear-splitting shout from the Warrior. "Lies! You are a drunkard and a thief!" Portalfig tried once more to reason with the man. "But I've never stolen anything, and those NOGBREWS weren't even alch--" This time, he was cut off by the Warrior's drawing his sword. He gulped, and tried to back away, but he was leaped upon and torn to shreds by his attacker's shining blade.

In yet another part of the city, Rahkshi Guurahk was on a treasure-hunting expedition in an old part of town. He didn't find anything of value; just an old frying pan covered with soot. But he did find the residence of the Wizard of Villagia. The Wizard did not take kindly to visitors in the middle of the night, and as such, he sent a hail of orbs flying down from his balcony toward the intruder. Rahkshi Guurahk ran for his life out of that part of town, the blue orbs pursuing him as he went. In his hurry, he dropped the heavy frying pan (not that he had cared much to keep it in the first place), and it skidded into a sewer. He rounded a bend into an alley, and most of the orbs crashed into the wall, which they blew apart violently, but several made the turn and sped towards him, crashing into his back and propelling him out of the alley, into the street and, conveniently, right in front of his house. He crawled, barely hanging onto consciousness, into his bedroom, where he pulled what he could off the bed, which he was too weak to climb into, and passed out on the floor. He was badly battered, but thanks to his high LUCK stat, he barely survived, and learned an important lesson: Don't poke around a Wizard's home at night!
