I run to the library and back, grabbing some of the books that had bested me beforehand.

 

"It is important to know someone's moveset in a fight, we should discuss ours with each other, and know our enemies. This is a rahk called Exxan's special move," I throw a heavy book at The Snake-Faced Kid.

"You want me to look out?" He asked.

IC Phogen:

Phogen sighed and grimaced, putting a hand over her eyes. He felt surrounded by incompetence. Removing the hand and gesticulating sharply, he attempted to drive the idea through Omega's thick head armor. "BE A lookout. Be a lookout. Not 'look out'. I am not going to throw a brick at you or something to test your reflexes."

IC: Omega

"Thats what I meant. I'm not that dumb jeez."

IC: Glass

 

"Got it."

[Razgriz]

IC: I catch, letting it hit my chest with an oomph.

"Got it. Good idea." The Snake-Faced Kid said, opening the book and turning to the page detailing proper Squatting form.

"I punch things and kick things. Sometimes I yell at them, too. Real loud." You mention.

"I also punch and kick things. Though I am more familiar with Baji-Quan than the punching, kicking and grappling fields." I toss another book at him, this one on the art's form of fighting, revolving around extreme CQC, disarming and elbow and knee blows that have very little "tell" for the enemy to read.

 

"The rahks that ganged up on me were weak, if we can catch a small group of them we'll have little trouble overpowering them physically."

The Darkness Rahkshi had noticed the group forming over in another part of the Gym, and hadn't concerned himself with it. Word got around quickly enough, and he knew none of those talking had taken part in the assassination challenge, other than the one that had lost. With that, and knowing they already had targets in mind, the evil mastermind-in-training had found no need to interact. However, he also knew that the best of evil masterminds would have a large group of... allies? Affiliated persons whom he could trust mainly to fight for him rather than against and not much more, and that should be kept at reasonable distances to avoid any hazardous situations. Yes, that sounded specific enough. 

 

Deciding that it could be in his best interests to have opportunities open for such affiliations, Chekquars choose to walk past the group, towards another set of equipment, and offhandedly commented.

 

"So what would happen if you found a large group, instead? Run? Or find a way to set things up in your favor?"

"We would defeat them."

IC: "We'd kick their faces in."

IC: Xara.

 

"Well then, let's get going." With that, Xara began to fly across the Chirox Causeway.

 

IC: Exxan.

 

Exxan flipped the knife - still streaked with his own blood - from one hand to another as he thought Phogen's offer over. A party? Exxan wasn't really the party sort, but at the same time, he knew it would be a good chance to socialise and perhaps gain some more allies.

 

So far as he knew, he was among the first - if not the first - to eliminate both his target and his assassin. Once word about that got around, these people might come to respect him a bit more.

 

"Sure thing. A party sounds great."

Omega had found he had stored his weapons on his back. "Alright. What happens if someone attacks one of our clients?" He said, sharpening his axes on his exoskeleton again.

[Nato G]

IC: "We'd kick their faces in."

IC: The Twins.

 

"What are you kicking?" Silencer asked warily as the two "confusion" Rahkshi entered the gym. He made a hand sign to Illusive, warning him to be cautious.

Omega had found he had stored his weapons on his back. "Alright. What happens if someone attacks one of our clients?" He said, sharpening his axes on his exoskeleton again.

IC Phogen:

"If someone attacks my clients, it would be none of my concern. All are out of my care at this stage." Phogen was growing a little agitated. This presumptuous fellow was assuming he was suddenly all buddy-buddy with him. Even if he was, Phogen would never let Omega take verbal possession of a client. "Your job is to look out for staff who might want to break up the fun, and let me know if you see them. Understand I do not tolerate failure."

 

Looking to Exxan toying with the blade, she asked the obvious question. "Nice blade. Who owns the blood?"

IC: Omega

Phogen was beginning to Omega off. "Stop acting like I'm an idiot. Speak to me respectfully please." He said, still sharpening his axes.

[Nato G]

IC: Exxan.

 

"Ah... Me. I used a bunch of them on Squid. One of them missed him and hit me instead. It's hard being a level two, when you can only pull things towards yourself."

 

He whirled on Omega. "Respect is something that is earned, and you haven't done that yet."

IC Phogen:

Exxan, however, was earning some stripes. Carrying a knife stain with one's own blood and cooly dismissing a probable equal as inferior can do that. He was beginning to grow on Phogen. He let a small smirk creep onto his face before nodding slowly towards Exxan, indicating her opinion.

IC: Omega

Omega sighed. He put his weapons away. "So what now?"

IC Phogen

Ah, good. Omega would be able to be kept in line. "Well, now I must aquire information about these rumors. I can do that personally. Omega, keep yourself locatable. Gentlemen." With a nod, Phogen went to leave in search of the proper Floor.

Omega went to the gym and decided to lift some weights, unaware of the mob gathering around.

"We'll be kicking in the faces of our enemies."

Omega's head snapped round to face Caoutchoac. "Who's your enemies?" He asked, dropping the weight.

[25K Now!]

IC: Love Guurahk

 

"I'm never gonna give up on these sludge muffins," declared the Love Guurahk as he ate.

[Some Random Phrase]

IC Clockwork:

Clockwork lost his balence, what with teh Power Scream and Rahkshi decending down on him. He spun out of control as Snakey landed on him, shooting out the door and smashing into the wall. Gasping with pain, Clockwork drew his knife and stabbed at Snakey's neck area.

Squid was getting impatient. He wanted to do something, like find Exxan and hang out, or curl up in the library with a nice book.

"Excuse me Palma, I'm sorry if I'm seeming rude or impatient... but when do you think I can leave? If its not anytime soon, do you have a book to spare?"

"We're all together at this school," Silencer growled, "no one here has any enemies."

 

Illusive nodded his agreement.

Chekquars laughs aloud at that, a harsh chuckle that cuts off suddenly.

 

"As much as you may wish that, it isn't the truth. There will always be those seeking conflict, and our school is no different."

 

Chekquars glanced over the new arrivals, confirming they weren't apart of the game before deeming them not too worthy of major attention. He did, however, note their coloration and closeness, deciding that they were probably not as they seemed, or dumber than a rock. Anyone with half a brain could see the tactical advantages of having more than one power for any group, limiting variety was a limiting of preparation. 

In either case, they could be prospective minions. Dumb would mean easy to manipulate, but smart usually meant they were harder to defeat when heroes or other evil overlords came to dethrone him.

Omega approached the group. "You didn't answer my question. Who are your enemies?"

[Razgriz]

IC: Yeah, let them play off eachother for a bit.

He was about to turn to goldie and ask for his skillset when he heard an unearthly loud clang that could only mean someone dropped weights on this floor which is OVER THE LINE.

He leveled a stern, not nearly withering but still stern and unlike him gaze towards Omega.

"Dude. You didn't seriously just do that, did you?" I asked, ignoring his question completely because , there are more important issues at hand.

OOC: Just to clarify Omega didn't literally drop the weight. He just dropped it back where it was

Omega looked at the group, arms crossed.

Chekquars laughs aloud at that, a harsh chuckle that cuts off suddenly.

 

"As much as you may wish that, it isn't the truth. There will always be those seeking conflict, and our school is no different."

IC Phogen

"Those who seek conflict are idiots."

 

From out out of nowhere, Phogen had appeared. He silent movement trick was quickly becoming a bit of a trademark. And she could not resist a debate like this. "It is better to simply succeed in plans and motions and letting others go about with their tiny machinations and tiny minds thinking your losses are losses and your victories temporary. Fighting rarely accomplishes anything. Intelligence and planning is where the real work of The Brotherhood gets done. Conflict makes a good distraction, maybe a good way to put pressure on a weak prey, but a trap is the ideal way to finish any job and a true show of actual power. Therefore..."

 

Phogen grinned at this. "...I am of the opinion that those who seek conflict are both stupid and weak."

IC: Green

"Ungh..." Green had woken up again. "Where am I..." Despite Palma's healing of Green's nerves, she was still very addled. "Right... Wanted to ask Squid to go to Phantom on the Water... Something about Biuret Reagent... The slop..."

"Our enemies are the kind of people that would answer dishonestly or not at all when asked who their enemies are. Seeing as how that is a fact of this matter, I shall answer you as to who are enemies are. We are not the kind that would answer dishonestly or not at all when asked of our plans or enemies."

 

I point at Omega.

 

"You are."

 

The elasticity rahkshi is lying, but this Omega stinks of Phogen, so he is testing him.

 

Speaking of Phogen, xhe just entered, spewing xis philosophical edgy kane-ra****.

"Oh really? Well to disprove your point my enemies are Glass and more Glass." He said, his arms not leaving their crossed position.

"No. Glass and Xara attacked me whilst I was eating. I got double teamed in a similar fashion to Caoutchoac here." He said.

As more Rahkshi enter the conversation, Chekquars carefully backs away slightly, just enough to allow himself breathing room. At Phogen's words, he doesn't react, looking towards those who apparently were against this Omega fellow. Inwardly, he is smirking at the truth of Phogen's speech, and can already tell xhe is a manipulative force to be reckoned with, as well as one after his own aspirations of ruling a place. It is safer to trap and plot than outright fight, this he knows. Chekquars can already tell that he'd need to speak to Phogen privately, assess her and find out just what sort of relationship will be established. He can already tell it would be much preferred to not have to work against her/him, as it seemed she had wasted no time getting herself allies.

 

He remains silent, while allowing his cloak to once again cover the majority of his body. Chekquars would take being hidden over being able to move freely, for now.
