Kazi the Matoran
My first three sets were given to me on my birthday in 2002. I got Pohatu, Turaga Onewa, and Tahnok Bohrok of Fire. Forgive me for my spelling if I messed something up. I haven't kept up with everything the way I used to a few years ago. ExoBro94
My mom would use to take me to Toys 'R Us a few weeks before Christmas to browse and write down my list for "Santa". I was in first grade and saw some Bionicle sets on the store shelves. That started my obsession.
Toa TAK
Onepu from McDonalds, but my first "real" set came at Christmas and it was Kopaka. Still the best Christmas in memory. Reya
My first set was Toa Onua back in 2001. My mom took me shopping and decided to buy me a present. Needless to say, I have been hooked to Bionicle since.
Cambion
my first was Whenua Metru, as a birthday present in 2004. ironically enough, it was from a cousin who wasn't even remotely interested in Bionicle until three years later.

Afterwards, I collected bottles and cans until I had 9.99 to buy Lewa at a local hardware store. Madara: Mangekyou Master
That's alright. I still remember getting my first Toa Nuva (Onua and Kopaka). Building them together with my dad and having them battle it out was awesome. :') Gear action ftw. gunconvoy
Funny story, i wanted this big ol mega block set, my dad said, no you won't be able to build it, so the next day i saw a bionicle. I picked that up and pretty much out of spite said. i'm going to do it and i'm going to show him i can build. So thats how i got Toa Kopaka at K-mart. Kopekemaster
Some of my friends (LoTR_Nui and Vezonthebabbler) introduced me to them. Then one time while walking through Wal-Mart, I saw a palette of Vahki. The rest is history. Also- I got my first Bionicle sets at Target. They were Rahkshi Panrahk, Piraka Hakann, and Toa Inika Nuparu. How on earth is that possible? Edited June 21, 2013 by Kopekemaster Quote My Writing Blog (more writing coming soon!) Valendale
On a road with my cousin, who has since disappeared from the face of the earth. I got Kongu and Macku from McDonald's. However, these stayed up in my garage until 2006, when I bought Balta and Kazi. Somewhere during that time, Macku lost her arms. I recently sold Kongu. Not my best idea. Erebus Toa of Darkness
All six Turaga were ordered from a Lego magazine by my grandfather when I was 11 years old. This is when Lego first unveiled them in their magazine mind you. I also eventually got Onua Mata, Gali Mata, and Tahu Mata. From then on my collection expanded depending on my level of interest. Quote "There was no way that was an ordinary Toa, no Toa killed like this. No Toa fought so mercilessly. Logan Tec
I think me and my dad saw it in the Lego store and i wanted vakama cause red used to be my favorite color. Also i wonder sometimes if my dad was just getting tired of me smashing all my starwars sets then asking them to be rebuilt so we got something i could build. Art Vandelay
I was at a Toys R Us back in 2002, and I picked up Gali Nuva, naturally because blue is my favorite color. I didn't know that Gali was female back then, so I decided that "he" would be the King of Bionicles.

Jinkmeister
My first two sets were Onua Nuva and Pohatu Nuva. One day, I was at my friend's house, and they had several Bionicle sets. I built my first MOC (A Toa of lightning and energy, I believe. Keep in mind, this is 2003-ish), and I loved it. I made it clear to my parents, and for Christmas, I believe, I got those two fateful canisters. Now, several thousand dollars later, I managed to collect a ton of sets, but I passed them down to my siblings. Now I'm starting over, beginning with the Toa Mata I just won on eBay! Wish me luck!
