  1. A new Olmak...just gotta figure out how to separate it from Vezon's head... Tridax
  2. I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO SAVE LEWA!
  3. This sums up much of what I would like in a new generation. This would be interesting, especially if it gave us a chance to get some characters as sets that we haven't yet-the other four Hagah, Lariska, Varian, Tuyet, Artakha, Helryx...black-and-gold Karzahni with an actual Olisi as opposed to a pair of green Pridak feet is probably off the table given his demise, unless they reverse Greg's revelation about the Red Star's inability to revive beings outside the actual Matoran universe.
  4. I still have a few of the physical CDs...none of which work on my laptop.
  5. Yeah, Toys R Us has held on to a few-not even lowering the prices by all appearances. That being said, I did pick up Skull Slicer, Uniter Pohatu, and Ketar a while back myself. The only ones they had besides that were Uxar, the Lava Beast, and the Storm Beast unless I'm forgetting one. That's pretty much your only brick and mortar store location for sets, unless you buy used.
  6. Pretty nice work-reminiscent of the so-called "Overlord" design that the Journey to One team made. I must ask, what line are the wings from?
  7. A pretty sick reimagining of Tahu-love how you derived it from the concept art. It does suffer from Ikir looking better as a sword than a creature, but it's more parts limitations than anything I'd imagine.
  8. Agreed. Makes me wish there had been an Okoto Online game or something...

    Exo-Toa

Beefy sucker, ain't he? Looks like a cool piece of work-definitely recognizable as an Exo-Toa.
  10. Lovely piece of work-perfectly captures the look of Hahli Mahri while still making it feel like G2. The background is quite lovely too-great recapture of the feel of the MNOG games. As for that spear decoration: priceless. On an unrelated note, nice sig.
  11. Very nice work. It may just be the angle, but you managed to make him look kind of sad as he contemplates the mask piece, as though part of him is able to see through Makuta's control and realize that he's been reduced to a mere pawn.
  12. You certainly nailed that-I immediately thought of Sauron's helmet when I saw Ekimu. These are great pieces my friend-I think you're a shoe in for the Art category.
  13. Dude, this is great! I loved the original content of Revenge of the Skull Spiders and Escape from the Underworld, and here you've brought them both together! Axato's ability to speak Okotan was a little off-putting at first, but realizing that he's semi-possessed by Makuta ties that up nicely; it was also cool how you gave him a second chance to strut his stuff as a villain. Loved your work with the Protectors as well-best of luck to you in the contest.
  14. A nice little what if story. Vezon's dimension hopping-or even Takanuva's-has struck me as a good way to tie the two continuities together. I do find it a tad hard to believe that Vezon would be able to just yank elementally charged Pohatu out of the air, but it fits the absurdist tone of this work quite nicely.
  15. Quite an interesting piece of work. I don't think this is the first fic I've seen to suggest that G2's story actually preceded G1's rather than succeeding it-if the two are actually related at all beyond the brand name and some shared elements-but you definitely did some cool stuff with it. The storyline with the Skull Spiders was a nice recall of the whole Krana-Lewa scene, and a nice way of helping Tahu overcome his year one ego. The Velika scene was cool too, if somewhat sad because you realize he's going to go from benevolent creator to murderous sociopath. Nice work.
  16. This work definitely makes some interesting additions to the lore. However, while I know it is supposed to be a "Short Story" it feels a little too short-too abrupt and too rapid. I see a lot of potential in it though-might be something to expand upon at a later date.
  17. While as you say it does diverge from the canon a bit, it is quite the pleasant one. It is cool to imagine more of what the Toa might have thought when they had any time to themselves: the series makes it seem like they're always either on an adventure or doing something for the people of Okoto, unless they're just goofing off. I like how you zeroed in the ideas of how lonely it could potentially be for them to think that they're the only six of their kind, along with the idea of a larger world beyond Okoto.
  18. A fine piece of work; nice to see the Bara Magna lore getting some love, as most of the G1 carryovers-official or fan made-seem to turn more to the Mata or Metru periods, with one or two taking stuff from the years beyond. It does make the Skull Slicer seem a much more tragic figure-but then, when the actual story just made him a cackling skeleton it's hard to find any kind of relatability to him.
  19. Yeah, it's funny how you both zeroed in on Skull Slicer's origin story. You've taken Makuta and Kulta to a whole new level of evil with this; the idea that their necromancy would disturb not only the rest of a fallen warrior but of his loved ones in such a twisted fashion is gut-churning.
  20. Not the first story written from an Okotan's point of view, but nice nonetheless. My only complaints are that it is a rather quick read, and doesn't really bring anything new other than-as mentioned-the perspective of an "average Joe" villager. Still, that element is pretty cool, and it's nice to get a sense of Makuta not being completely unappreciated prior to his fall.
  21. Cool piece of work, and an interesting idea for how to bring a more final conclusion to G1 while also tying it into G2, even if one isn't so much a fan of big reality resets like I am. Still, you pulled it off well.
