Toarobot18 Posted November 6, 2013 Share Posted November 6, 2013 For the first killing, Shadowhawk's reasoning for Ora being the culprit seems pretty good. I did have an alternate theory. It seems like Tex was killed before the expedition had gotten a chance to set out. If someone intended to kill Tex, it would probably be easier in the dark than in the light. Onarax was arguing for staying put in the dark, perhaps because he wanted to be able to carry out his crimes more easily. Once it was decided to move to a location where there was light, he would have a motive for getting things done in the dark while he still had a chance. When he tripped and acted surprised, he could have been feigning. There is one problem with that theory, however. The narrator says Onarax's "worst nightmares were coming true." Presumably, he doesn't have nightmares about his own murder plots. With this in mind, I'm inclined to think the case for Ora is greater. None of these are very strong clues, so perhaps we're missing something. I have no idea for the second killing. Someone who would have gone crazy? The genius of it is that no one will ever peg him as a Mafian if he is one. The downside is that, personally, I think it's never a bad idea to hang him.
