IC: Scriva - Cafeteria. 

 

The opportunity was lost. Halmos was back and his guards were blocking the exit. "You idiot," she spat at 135, before whirling to face Halmos and Sal, "the monster wasn't in the Siphon room, was it? I know where it really is, and it probably has officer Kazak, too."

IC: Lana

 

Well this sucks. 

 

"I wouldn't call this fun no. Something that looked like the monster appeared and we were busy panicking." That was the best cover up I could come up with on the spot. They couldn't prove it was our doing.

Halmos..

 

His ugly visage had been a plague upon his sight for far too long, but now he had the strength, the power, it had returned. In an instant he raised Seven Nights and elongated it's blade, sending it lancing towards Halmos' smug face.

 

Kill him. Then he could prepare the others.

"Excuse me," she said, moving over to Scriva. "You said you knew were the monster was. Is it close?"

[Nato G]

IC: Scriva - Cafeteria. 

 

"That depends on your definition of close," Scriva said carefully, stretching out with her psychic energies once more. The creature was still where it had been last time. "It's in some kind of room on the other side of the Asylum, for now...."

Ic: Iyanu (cafeteria)

It wasn't all of them... But it was enough.

Iyanu snapped his fingers and the lights above him disappeared with a satisfying pop. He then walked forward with his hand open, lights popping behind him, moving towards the group at the table.

"1000 years since all this happened, 1000 years it took to rise", he said loudly his voice robotic and other-wordly

"Blood on the floor an in their eyes, they took the gas and left them to die.

1000 years and now you're here, the only ones left to scream in fear, your lives mean nothing when I've got you running away with blood in your tears!" He stopped and spread his arms, the lights now almost fully gone, only a few remained, including the ones above him, and the ones at the table.

"Take a look at me, can you see the death in my eyes? All this time you're waiting I get stronger with power and force.

It's not as if you're lives mean much".

Ooc: interacting with everyone in the cafeteria.

Akada may have been a selfish jerk, but he was not a dunce when it came to combat. In an instant he had punched Seven Knights out of the air, sending it sprawling to the floor. Pushing Halmos aside, he quietly strode over to Iyanu and, as he finished his dramatic pome, had brought his heavy-weighted hand down on the back of his neck. Iyanu gracefully hit the ground with a thud.

 

"Sometimes this gets too much." He whispered to himself as he dragged the unconscious character away, while Halmos immediately went to work waking the Chief of Security.

 

 

 

 

"I copy that, i'll get right to it sir, yes sir."

 

The young Toa of sonics hung the wall communicator on the outside hook. He stood over the silvery sea, wondering when the Vahki would arrive and do something about this mess. Then, in the distance, the timid guard saw the massive transport carrying the dreaded Vahki. Unlike the ones that had guarded Metru Nui, these were more powerful and had stronger frames. And no single criminal could outrun one, not even a Toa.

 

With a nervous gulp, the timid Toa prepared his authorization papers to present and accept the new guardians over the Asylum.

 

 

OOC: Chief of Security has become much more powerful.

IC: Fade/Scriva - Cafeteria. 

 

"Ugh...." Fade sat up slowly, rubbing his head, "....which one of you prisoners did that?" he spat.

 

Scriva strode over to Halmos. "Are you even listening to me? I know where the karzing monster is!"

IC: Lana

 

I looked completely innocent. 

[Kovika: Visorak Lord]

IC: Kovika

After waiting a while for Kuraz to reply, Kovika walked off, adding "Watch your back, this thing could be anywhere."

Kovika walked through the halls and heard something going on in the Cafeteria. He walked over to it, and as he walked in, he noticed frost on his fingers. "Frost? But that means.." He whispered to himself as he walked in. He heard some commotion about that thing, that monster that attacked earlier. So he spoke up in his usual cold and analytical voice. "Would someone tell me what the Karzahni is going on?"

"Then maybe you also know what happens when you harass an official." Halmos said, knowing that she and Lana had been sitting together for some time and Lana was putting on an act in an attempt to avoid suspicion. "I have had enough of this pointless nonsense. This is your last warning."

 

He stood up, helping Fade to his feet. "Now, if you are so knowledgeable, where is it?"

 

 

 

The Vahki marched into the area in rows of four, assigning themselves in the main entrance. Akada rounded the corner with Iyanu, then stopped at the sight of the Vahki.

 

"Urgh... Cannon fodder." He whispered to himself, and ignored the fact that one of them had heard him and rotated its head to watch. Akada proceeded to drag Iyanu to a vacant, unguarded cell, placing two Vahki over it. "That'l take care of him for now." He said, in an attempt to reassure himself.

 

Then again, he was probably already awake.

IC: Iyanu

Uuuurgh

Went the mind of Iyanu as he woke up, and then stood up.

Then his mind woke up.

He looked around and saw the two Vahki. They wouldn't notice. Perhaps.

Iyanu flipped the gravity on Akada in an attempt to drag him into the cell. Perhaps through the bars.

IC: "Five-Knuckled" Sal - Cafeteria

Seeing as how things had gone from brazenly homicidal to calmfully idiotic in the blink of an eye, Sal casually tossed the table aside and began mumbling incoherently, accidentally forgetting to deactivate her mask before it left her hands and sending it crashing towards the other side of the room.

IC: Lana

 

We needed to get away from here and deal with the monster, but Halmos was in the way. With the Vahki here as well there wasn't much we could do. 

 

Scriva, got any ideas?

[Nato G]

IC: Scriva - Cafeteria.

 

Maybe I can talk some sense into him? Scriva hoped she could. She had to try. "I'm a telepath, Halmos. And since the monster is also a telepath, I can figure out where it is at any given time. Right now it's in some room on the other side of the Asylum."

IC: Kovika - Cafeteria

Kovika received no reply, but instead overheard someone speaking to one of the doctors about the monster's location. He spoke up, looking at Scriva and Hamlos. "If we have its location, what shall we do? You've seen what it can do right? Even if we have our skills and powers, do we have enough sane Toa to even try and begin to fight or contain it?"

IC: Fade - Cafeteria.

 

"You're not doing anything," Fade snapped at the patient, "you're all here to be treated, not to pretend to be heroes."

IC: Lana

 

"Righttttt....treated. Because they've been doing a great job of treating us so far. I mean with solitary destroyed, and...how many patients have died so far? I'm surprised this place hasn't been shut down yet. Pretty sure it ain't up to fire code either." 

 

I didn't need to hear how we were here for 'treatment', there was no treatment, and even if there had been, I certainly didn't need it. Bunch of ######. 

 

"The truth is if we don't do something about that monster, we're all going to ###### die. These Vahki don't have a chance against it."

"Have you even seen the monster?" Fade challenged, "Because I fought it. You really think you - an Toa of questionable sanity who has only just recovered their powers - can do what I couldn't?"

"I'm no less sane then you are, ###### half the patients in here are just normal Toa who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I haven't had a single doctor diagnose me with a mental illness, I guess they haven't made up one for me yet." I snapped. 

 

"And no, of course I couldn't take the monster, not alone. But crazy or not all of us in here could stand a chance against it. That monster has been stealing our powers from the siphon, and now that it's been shut off we have the advantage. We could eliminate it right now if those of you in charge didn't have your heads in your ######."

"If you weren't crazy you wouldn't be here," Fade said dismissively, "this discussion is over." 

[Kovika: Visorak Lord]

IC: Kovika

Kovika looked at Fade with his cold gaze.

"Are you calling me of questionable sanity? This is no time for arguments. We need to do something, round up the sane Toa who are willing to assist, for example, and try containing this creature, lest it take any more lives." He motioned towards Lana. "My friend here is right. Vahki will not be suitable for dealing with such a beast. We need Toa, and considering you've got Mata Nui knows how many sane or mostly sane Toa here, why not let those who are willing work on dealing with this thing? You claim to know about the creature: Let myself and any who will help know what it is capable of. If we do nothing, then what does that make us? Cowards? Not to mention what havoc that thing might cause if it escapes. Innocents have already died, how many more would you risk? You claimed that you fought it earlier, my question is did you fight alone? If there are enough willing to fight this monster for at least survival, then we have a chance. I say form a plan and calculate what chance those willing have in containing this creature at the least."

IC: Fade - Cafeteria.

 

Kovika had barely opened his mouth before he was suddenly cut off, as he found gravity increased tenfold around his body, threatening to crush him to the floor. "Listen up, all of you!"

 

The Head of Security activated his mask, rising to tower over the room. "I know you all have your delusions of heroism, but let me be clear! That ends right here! The Vahki have arrived, and they will ensure that both you patients, and the monster, are dealt with."

"If you had any sense the first thing you'd do is lock up Halmos!" The head of security wasn't going to be any help, we had to find a way to get out of the cafeteria.

[Some Random Phrase]

IC Kodrix:

When Kodrix's powers returned, he knew instantly. Thinking a moment, he figured his Ice would need a while to recharge. Fortunatly, his Kanohi would now transport him much farther then under the Siphon's influence. He began making his way, in teleporting hops, to the cafe.

IC: Kovika

Kovika felt his weight increase heavily, he slammed against the floor. It hurt, but that would not stop him from speaking. "Only a fool denies the truth that stares them in the face. The obvious reality is that you are limiting the power of Toa who can do something and leaving the safety and security of these Toa, and possibly those outside of this prison, in the place of Vahki. If you would let those willing to do something help, then your suicidal planning might be revised into something sensible. Know this brother: If any die by this creature, the blame can only be placed upon those who run this madhouse and are assigned with protecting it and the inhabitants in it. Are you wise or are you a blind and stupid fool?"

IC: Fade - Cafeteria. 

 

Kovika's words were drowned out by Fade's order to one of the nearby guards. "Will somebody gag him?"

IC Kodrix:

Arriving, Kodrix cautiously peeked inside, looking to see if anyone was there, and if so, if they were looking at him.

[Kovika: Visorak Lord]

IC: Kovika

Kovika muttered. "What an idiot."

IC Kotak:

 

"You might listen to him, Fade. Together, we nearly contained that thing."

 

Kotak stepped into the room, a light smile on his face, flanked by two Vahki who'd clearly escorted him in.

 

"If we work together, we can end this sooner, and you can get back to doing what you love best."

[Nato G]

IC: Fade - Cafeteria.

 

"The prodigal son returns," Fade grinned, recognising the prisoner who'd escaped only a few hours earlier. He snapped an order to the two Vakhi. "Take him to a cell, ensure he doesn't leave it. He'll be dealt with later."

GM IC Nyhe:

A beeping sound came from Fade's communicator.

 

"This is Dr. Nyhe to Fade. Bring Toa Kotak to my office. Now."

IC Kodrix:

Kodrix quickly activated his Kaulsi, appearing silently near one of the food tables.

Akada suddenly felt himself flying backwards. Oh Karz, he's awake. He turned and braced his foot against the bars of the cell, finding gravity getting stronger and stronger. That shotgun... Where had he left it?

 

Whatever. He unhitched another pistol and aimed at the general location of Iyanu's head. The one-shot pistol fired, before slipping out of his hands and flying into the cell.

 

 

 

Two Vahki standing in the hall moved into position. They were about to grab hold of him when Halmos raised his hand. A sly grin formed on his face.

 

"No need, Fade. No need." He stepped up to the Toa and looked at the scar on his head.

 

"Toa Kotak. For your safety..." The two Vahki behind him unsheathed two blades in their arms. "...I suggest you comply. Besides, why would you disobey me?"

 

Halmos said in a manner as if he expected every single person in the whole universe to bow before him, but he knew what Nyhe did to him. He couldn't disobey.

[Nato G]

IC: Fade - Cafeteria. 

 

"Change of plans," he called out to the Vahki, "take him to Doctor Nyhe's office. Down the hall to the left." 

 

Hopefully these Vahki were smart enough to follow directions...

GM IC Nyhe:

Unbeknownst to Halmos, Nyhe had placed her own security network around the Asylum. It's only camera was implanted in Kotak's mask. Very tiny, microscopic, even.

 

Nyhe pushed a button on her computer and began to speak, broadcasting directly into Kotak's ear.

 

"You heard him. Come to my office, please."

Ic Kotak:

 

He grimaced.

 

"Yes, Doctor Nyhe. I'll be right in."

 

Turning, he led the Vahki to Nyhe's office.

 

"You....called?"

GM IC Nyhe:

Turning off her monitor, she turned to Kotak.

 

"Come in. Sit."

 

The Vahki came inside, too, until...

"No... You stand guard outside."

 

The Vahki left, and Nyhe turned to Kotak again. "Why did you run?"

Ic Kotak:

 

He sat in the proffered chair.

 

"Well, frankly, it had been my plan from the start. However, more importantly, I needed to speak with someone I had considered an old friend. Someone I thought could help. I was wrong, so I came back to fix things myself."

 

 

"I'd wager you already knew that, though. The Vahki are a nice touch."

GM IC Nyhe:

"I guess your implant went hooey. Just... Don't do that again." 

 

Nyhe walked over to a cabinet, pulled out a small cup and a bottle, and poured herself a drink. A strong drink.

 

"I got called by Nuju, who told me that he was confused that just after I installed safety protocols, he was asked to install safety protocols. See, he was under the impression we were already aware things here sucked. Your trip was... redundant, to say the least."
