Aanchir Posted March 24, 2012 Share Posted March 24, 2012 We could talk about the ENORMOUS spike in support for the LEGO Cuusoo MLP:FiM proposal. Two days ago it was stalled at around 875 supporters. Now it's at 1569 supporters and growing. Apparently it was shared on several unmentionable-yet-widely-used sites. Hopefully it can keep up this momentum!I read that and the first thought in my head was this guy announcing his support for the Cuusoo project. :PAs for John de Lancie appearing again, it would be really cool if it were some sort of flashback episode involving Discord. I'm not sure if he could be brought back as a villain without it feeling redundant, though.Regarding this latest episode:Ah well. I guess it was too much to hope for Fluttershy to get a song in this one. The music was still very compelling, and the episode as a whole was very emotional. But I keep hoping that someday she (among others from the Mane 6) gets a song as brilliant and character-defining as Rarity's "Becoming Popular" and "Art of the Dress" or Pinkie Pie's "Smile Song".Lots of named background ponies in this one, at least a few of whom have been depicted as toys. Wonder how long it will take them to show up in fanart/fan fiction... of course, I still haven't taken the plunge into fan fiction, and I'm not planning to any time in the immediate future. :POf course I also have to wonder why Spitfire did nothing but officiate. I was hoping that in the very least she'd give Fluttershy a pep talk, or perhaps actually help the pegasus ponies with their tornado.I'm sure a lot of people will make a big deal of the opening sequence, of course, in which Fluttershy was actually a tree (one has to wonder if the memetic line from "Over a Barrel" was considered by the writers or whether it was pure coincidence). The educational film reel was hilariously retro, and very fun to watch. I don't know why, but it really was upsetting.Also, those facial expressions are getting more detailed and more adorable by the episode. I really fell in love with them today. I knew exactly how Fluttershy felt when she was being eaten away by her doubts in herself, due to being bullied in childhood. I want to see more of Buff Pony in the future (though we may not), and Fluttershy was D'AAWful in this episode. Overall, a great episode. Also, yesterday I went to McDonald's and got Applejack. He's basically like me but with more of a mean streak in him ...I was never trying to imply that I thought Discord was evil at all. Unless he just stalked the main six and made things up on the fly.On your second point...wow, totally didn't notice that! Must be because the crusaders haven't been in any episodes lately.
