It's called checking the Ko-Wahi topic.

Just a public notice that I will be beginning my annual absence shortly, as usually happens right after New Year for me. This absence for certain includes January and February's first half- it may be as long as May if need be. It may be a period of decreased activity or a period of complete inactivity.

 

Because of this Shadowhawk will have the Akiru, my only active characters, for at least two weeks, possibly longer depending on how long he takes to build his ship.

 

If there's time, and some of the backend work with Lorax is complete soon, then I also plan to introduce my Daikura characters soon. So keep in mind that my activity in Kentoku may be limited if I start posting there.

 

The Inferno and Toa Phantoka characters will remain just as inactive as they have been for the past few months. Some Inferno profiles might disappear soon to make room for new Dasaka, as those profiles run multiple pages.

 

I do hope to find a way to post more often. My new tablet might help, but I think my schoolwork is priority. Being on a FIRST Robotics team eats a lot of time. For the long term, you should know that my activity may be highly variable for quite some time, if there's any at all.

Although do you actually need approval to join a guard force, or is that just courtesy so the guys in charge can keep track of everyone more easily?

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's considered a-okay to make a character an established member from the get-go.

But if you take an already existing character, and want them to join the Guard, do you need to go to Snipe and say: "HEY MAN I WANNA JOIN THE GUARD", or can you just find some NPC recruiter and join without any approval?

Well, it's probably a different case for each character. If you're simply creating a character in a guard, the situation is different than if you had a character already made who may need IC approval due to his/her status.

No no no, what I meant was it's best to PM him with your question (do you need an NPC or PC recruiter)as you will likely get his response there than here in GD.

THE MATA NUI WEEKLY FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 18^th-31^st, 2013

The Mata Nui Weekly crew apologizes for the late return, we have been going through a bit of a transitional phase. Expect more regular and streamlined entries in the future

Player/Character of the week:

This week saw an insignificant voter turnout.

KENTOKU ARCHIPELAGO

· Akone continues to converse with Aki, then they go find a place to eat.

· Sato still looks for a place to eat with her cousin.

· The two datsue Sakrayo and Ankora continue their discussion

· We hear about Yumiwa from Hanako, the Chujo’s handmaiden.

· Noshima and Kamari make plans to take a break in the city.

· First Son Kuno of the Fursics meets with Nihi. He entreats Nihi into helping him eradicate the Chaotic Six, aka the Piraka, by pushing the populace of Kentoku into an armed return to Mata-Nui.

· Reiko dines with herself.

· Ichi and Ni open for interaction in their restaurant.

· Yumiwa is dumped into the marketplace by her battlemaster Inokio for a lesson in focus. After Amaki finished her taiko street performance the two menti begin a conversation, and Yumiwa commanded Amaki to take her to the best sushi shop in the market. On the way we learn Yumiwa is engaged to Kuno, Amaki is trying to improve her taiko to join the Fursic Drum Corps., and Yumiwa can order anything.

· Desdemona decides to try to find the killer of the would-be assassin.

· Koga and Soraph begin their mental flight through his janu bird.

LE-WAHI

· Utu is revived by Cael. He is immobile, but alive.

· A toa of fire arrives in Le-Koro as exchange for Joske being sent into The Legend, and after meeting with Kongu seeks out Antrim at The Massif.

· Stannis reveals to Cael Joske is alive. To Agni he explains how his kanohi works and then the toa of fire collects Valria before going to find Cael in the morgue. With Tuara, Stannis talks about Dorian getting away with murder, and that is was justified despite Tuara’s mixed feelings.

· Merror arrives in Le-Koro. Skyra, who had fallen asleep, wakes up in time to greet him.

· The Rama Rider Corps. visits the Bright-Star inn.

· Kidona is met by Colx, and Kidona inquires about the Gukko Force. Kidona open for interaction.

· Beosach and Komae return in the open ocean!

· Tillian awakes and Skyra leaves with a girlfriend tingle to be with him.

· Tuara and Dorian talk about freedom and death, Utu attempts to piece together his life, and Kongu flies off into the jungle for time to mourn Matoro’s passing alone.

· Agni and Valria are stopped short of romance with the arrival of Merror at the hospital.

· Alfon and Colx meet at the gym. Glorious man-jam. Go read.

· Brykon Shaddix and Kehua Aitua meet in the swamps of Le-Wahi while traveling in the direction of The Massif.

KO-WAHI

· Zadron attempts to escort a fellow vortixx out of Ko-Koro through the icy passageways beneath the city, but is caught by Veneras of the Sanctum Guard. Shock troopers are called in to bring the two vortixx to heel.

· Ishi Polzin cracks the cypher on Ahkmou’s journal. The next morning he visits The Mata-Nui Daily’s regional office to search for more clues.

· The stranger from legend arrives at The Massif, and is instantly recognized by Antrim. Antrim reveals his secret weapon: Brykon Shaddix.

· Greisk Orilva wakes up on a beach unsure of who or where he is. The Anxilla Cyrena reminds him of his past. He walks to the gates of Ko-Koro, where he faints. A matoran of fire brings him to the Nuju-Marion Research Hospital, where Riaril begins to treat him after performing an autopsy on a second corpse from Ko-Koro.

· The Stranger gains access to Ambages’ home with the helpful distractions of Taleen.

· After briefly visiting Captain Korzaa in the morning, the four assembled Maru and one matoran make their way to the prisons at Ambages summons. Ambages talks to Jaa, offering him a test to proof the truth of his plea.

· The Chinivix are unleashed.

· Veirath, a stranded vortixx, is open for interaction in the drifts.

· Kriigata jumps into the fray with Jorruk, Adron, and Kecand.

GA-WAHI

· Voulge has a mental snap and experiences lots of anger. He is later joined by Vail, who revealse his secret of blood drinking. Despite the macabre subject, Voulge brushes it off.

· Lohkar is back in the Great Takea. Helios and Lohkar’s crew get captured by the pirate’s charms.

· Fear the skakdi who can’t cook.

· Ferre, a blind Ta-matoran meets with Nei in Ga-Koro. They interact. Later the two go to set an appointment with Akiri Hahli to search for Nei’s father, Embok.

· Miraul and the Akiri begin building Rhea’s steam ship at the dry docks.

· Helios locks himself in a Marine office with a bookshelf. He escapes and is caught in conversation with Malak’et. Xerrand joins them.

· Ensis and Edubard begin to spar with Marine training gear.

· Liano returns.

· Crasaro fights a tarakava?

· The Sarsi keep moving.

KINI-NUI

· Echelon is ripped a new one by the Abettor

· Veral and Ceni attempt conversation with Transiz and Tul. Syvra sends Venixa with an all-clear message.

TA-WAHI

· Brykon Shaddix attempts suicide, and leaves for the Massif and Lord Antrim after failing that

· Kino Iho and Angelus make plans for a date

· Ril, Roshinua and Svero attempt to save Wanderer and Forerunner from the Piraka

· Toa Tharros recruits an unwilling Grochi to his cause

· Ophaim and Mekana discuss water and cakes

ONU-WAHI

· Surina’s escape attempt is foiled by Rhea & Co. Tivanu attempts to negotiate with Rhea

· Kirgan, Shadd and Sulkua prepare for their dive

· Hile and Feran arrive at Onu-Kini

· Xaron and Azhtran encounter and befriend the spherical robot on their key hunt

· Raxa returns home with a gift for Mirehu

· Torvoth and Ardoku go exploring the tunnels

· Anyanka goes on an eventful fishing trip

· Tarnok greets the recently awakened Uyism

PO-WAHI

· Qyntar, Vrina and Athiel remain in custody. Qyntar passes the time by reciting old verses

· Akura is questioned by the Sentinels

· Lux finally awakens

· Ferron and Zuria share personal stories

· Prei and Korru bond over doughnuts

Jus saying, but having one's arm cut off does not denote friendship. Then again, one of the little robots from the big robot did decide to tag along...and I have no idea if that one is spherical or not.

The big one? No, it wasn't a very nice individual.

still this is really helpful and there's so much stuff that mistakes can easily be made, especially when robots-inside-robots are involved.

Hey people, Suriol here.

 

As the Mata Nui Weekly Branch Manager for Onu-Wahi, I'd just like to pop by and say that I'm really excited to get to join, although I suppose I could ask for a better writer. Oh well, I'll manage.

 

I hereby pledge to not overstep the boundaries of Friar Tuck's Guide to Common Sense, or any of the other rules or restrictions imposed upon me. Any ulterior knowledge or insight I have will purely be used for commentary, so I can ably do my job as a reporter for the Mata Nui Weekly.

Also, to correct you, in the Ko Wabi review, the Anxilia didn't remind Greisk of his past. She has no inkliing of their origin either. Greisk figured out his name himself. Thannks.
