Corpus Rahkshi

IC: Draco

Draco turned to this new voice. "Isn't really just that. It's a multitool of sorts, as well as an energy siphon. So it isn't the worst tool in the world." He said coolly in the usual tone of a Loyalist.

IC: Malattia

"Well... I believe it's in the south wing, near the gym. Don't quote me on that, though, because I also recently arrived.

IC: Char - Infirmary

Her attention was solely on the hallway outside, and so when another Rahkshi stepped up behind her and spoke, she was surprised, to say the least. Char jumped and gave a soft squeak as she wheeled around. Her hands fumbled for her flare guns. But it was a just a large, yet unfamiliar Rahkshi. She sighed and holstered her weapons. "Hi," she replied.

IC: Tear - Library

Tear smiled sympathetically. "Just my luck. I came all this way, and you guys are just as new. But no matter. I think I'll go find it. You're welcome to join me, if you'd like."

IC Recherche / Hut

He nodded amiably, the chemist would make a decent ally. Lowering his club-sword, but keeping it ready, he let the imposing posture drop and decided on more informal language for use with the chemist.

"Not a problem, but it's obviously dangerous here. You should gather your materials and leave as quickly as possible, we can travel together for safety."

IC: Helix/Phantom-on-the-Water Hut

I finished up my schematics.

"Indeed it is. Wait up for me please."

I began putting the metal and tools in two bags.

IC: Tear - Hallways

"Come on, then," Tear called, waving an inviting hand. He quickly left the silence of the Library and the strange stuffed creature behind.

The Cafeteria didn't take as long to find as he feared. As Tear walked through the halls, some turns seemed familiar to him from his first pass through them. And then there was the smell. Tear frowned as it seemed to grow stronger and stronger with every step towards the Cafeteria. "What is that stench?" he spat.

IC: Char - Infirmary

She looked around and found that was just where she was. Now she just needed a story.

"Oh, not really. I was just visiting a friend," she lied easily. She craned her neck to look through the beds, but there were no likely candidates. "But it seems they've already been checked out."

IC: Tear - Hallways

"I thought it was common practice to keep your meat fresh," Tear muttered under his breath. "Even mother had better food than this."

IC Flabbergaster

Flabbergaster cocked an eyebrow at Char observing where she was. Unless she was brand-new, but he'd seen here somewhere before...

"Oh really? I just helped two Rahks here after they almost died. What did your friend look like?" He pretended to be genuinely interested.

IC--Sepulchral--Lucid's Cave

"Ah. Well, you have still been here longer than I. My own arrival was less than twenty minutes before you found me." He chuckled ruefully. "Not the most auspicious of beginnings, it must be said."

IC--Kaboom--Refectory/Halls

After a while, Kaboom grew bored with the uninteresting food and even more uninteresting Rahks in the refectory. He got up, tossed his half-empty bowl into the air, and caught it with his Chute Blade as it fell, shattering it and splattering slop everywhere. With that little punctuation, he left and began strolling absently down the hallway toward the gym.

IC--Nyarl--Refectory

Avoiding the freshly-splattered table, Nyarl walked through the dining hall and, feeling too withdrawn to sit at someone else's table, Sat alone to see if anyone would approach him.

OOC: Kaboom and Nyarl open for interaction.

IC: Char - Infirmary

Karz...

"It doesn't matter," Char replied, waving a dismissive hand. "She's brand new to this place, hasn't met many people, I'm afraid. She must be hiding in her room again. I probably should go find her."

IC: Tear - Hallways

"Well... that sounds... appetizing," he remarked dryly. It was tempting to turn back, but his stomach wouldn't allow him. He had to eat something, even if it smelled as if it had been rotting for weeks.

IC--Sepulchral--Lucid's Cave

"Not really," Sepulchral replied, not at all sure what a Dervaki was, but fairly certain that it did not pertain to his situation. "I was a scion of Makuta Bitil, and he thought it would be a wonderful idea to attempt to keep me secret from the rest of the Brotherhood." He winced at the memory. "It didn't turn out well for either of us."

IC: Tear - Refectory

The smell came to a head as Tear turned a corner and found himself in a large room filled with tables and chairs. It took all he had to walk up to the counter, grab a tray, and return with his disgusting bounty. He had hoped the slop would at least look edible, but was denied in that regard as well.

"So... ah... what do you guys do around here?" he asked casually.

IC: Rain - Gym

Rain's bloodlust soon took her to the Gym. She was ready to fight again, though she was doing her best to not think of the nasty defeats she had suffered recently.

OOC: Rain open for interaction.

IC: Shark / Gym

For the fifth and final time, Shark plunged his sword into the cool water, sending steam billowing out of the pool with a hiss. After a sufficient duration he withdrew it, examining the sum of all his efforts. He'd spent quite a while carefully applying the other Kanoka in much the same way as the first, smashing the molten disks with silenced hammer-strikes until they were wrapped around the sword, a thin, powerful opaque milky coating.

The final product wasn't exactly the most professional job - the Kanoka coating was far from precisely smooth and flat, marred by the inevitable minor waves and dents. But he had managed to keep the disks to the desired portion of the sword, over but one of the bladed edges, leaving the rest of the metal kept as cold, powerless, and deadly as ever, whether used for cutting or smashing. And, as repeated tests with Gym-summoned pebbles demonstrated, the teleportive portion was equally useful, sending anything that impacted it with any respectable degree of force several bio across the room. It might take a little getting used to, but that would be most easy for one of Shark's prowess in combat. And once he did, it would be a most effective weapon to add to his growing arsenal.

Gently - he didn't want his scabbard teleported away - he sheathed his sword, moving into the center of the Gym from the back, where he'd been working, allowing the forge to recede into the floor. Teleportive weapons wouldn't do much against immobile, one-piece training dummies. He needed a real opponent to test his sword upon...

OOC: Shark open for interaction in the Gym, if you dare.

IC: Tear - Refectory

He placed a spoon into the slop and tried to bring it back to his mouth only to give up halfway. He went back to talking just to delay the inevitable. "A... band you say? There are... musical Rahkshi here?"

Coming from a strict society of order and silence, the thought was far stranger than a Rahkshi with two heads.

IC: Rain - Gym

She caught a glimpse of Fins across the Gym, walking away from his forge with a new blade. She debated on walking over, but she thought he might have someone better to test his new disk powers on.

IC: Char - Infirmary

Well, this was just great. Now she had pushed herself out of her little hiding place. She nodded appreciatively and then quickly turned around to hide her grimace. She took her time walking towards the door, hoping that her quarries had moved on.

IC--Sepulchral--Lucid's Cave

"Well, I can't say it was a pleasant experience, but it really wasn't all that bad--at least not for me. I was held and interrogated for a few months, to find out whether my father was keeping any other secrets. Bitil, on the other hand, apparently received the brunt of his superiors' wrath. Given what I know of the Brotherhood, I'd not trade places with him for the universe."

IC: Malattia

"Well, yeah. That's what happens when beings have free will. They tend to do whatever they want, stand by whatever morals they may have, and fight for those beliefs. Now, some are the more intelligent breed, but honestly, they haven't evolved one bit. They swoon over Tridax or Icarax or whoever. Still... That's a small number, compared to the massive Rahkshi new-breed population. Most just hang around, and do... Well, whatever. That's my perspective on things, at least." Malattia spoke with a tone of wisdom.

IC: Tear - Refectory

"That's not what mother thought," Tear spat. "She still thought of us as her little army, but we proved a little tougher to tame. Makuta, just a bunch of lazy control freaks." He punctuated his point with a spoonful of slop, but the gesture was ruined when he gagged on it.

IC Poly:

It was time to find another. The Matoran porter had escorted Vaalku away, and provided him with a tray of slop, and now followed us as we made our way to the gym. Our newest recruit would need to be a strong one.

Indeed, there were many new faces, strong, weak, and everything in between.

We smiled. Perhaps the newest one would come willingly, as Vaalku had.

We stepped inside, taking in the room, wondering which one would be chosen next.

IC--Beat--Gym

Beat glanced back toward the sounds of the fight, but followed Ipartsa into the gym. "You sure you want to do that? I got no idea how much the shockwave would hurt you."

IC--Footwork--Feka's Dorm

"Well, to be honest, I've been here so short a time that I've hardly met anyone, and I haven't really caught any names. Let's see...there was the fat Turahk, the tie-dyed girl, the one with the cape and the pyramid-shaped spine who got his suit thrown out a window...and that's about it, really. No idea if any of them are inventors, though." Footwork held out the knife to be melted down.

OOC: Due to the terrible wifi, I cannot make any more replies until it improves or I return to Perth.

IC (As Ipartsa): "I'm a rahkshi of chain lightning, I can survive a violent jolt and my brother can receive as much pain as he can dish out. Also, do you really want to make more enemies here?" Said the rahkshi as she broke into a sprint. "Catch me if you can!"

IC (As Feka): "And rahkshi say I'm the crazy one for wanting to be a matoran." Said Feka as he took the knife and placed on the bed. "I should update my journal." He took out a pen and began scribbling on a page. 'So far, we have taken one knife, sai and sickle.' His hand flicked through the pages backwards until he paused at a particular one. "Change of plan, I can sneak out of Corpus to go melt down the weapons we took. How does that sound to you?"

IC: The marble floors and pillars of the atrium were chill and cool, almost enough to overcome the broiling heat of Malebranche. It was a peaceful place to wait but there was no comfort to it.

"Ah, my spiny friends! You should have written ahead, I would have known to expect you and put on something special!"

Now that was more like it. As Grossh entered the room, a Rau in hand, his ebullience seemed to fill the room like the glow from his armour, an aura of good cheer that bathed everything in warmth

IC Doubt

Doubt snapped his other hand onto Nightmare's leg, carrying the momentum into a quick 360 spin. Nightmare would come tumbling right into...

*wham*

Doubt suddenly let go of his grip on the leg of Nightmare, and He collapsed unceremoniously onto the floor. He snatched up his chain ball, anticipating an attack

IC: Nightmare

Nightmare tumbled across the floor, and tried to get up, but fell down again.

Karzing Big-Hands Broke my foot!

he got up, this time using his Staff as a Crutch.
