Compound eyes gives you a huge advantage, though. You can see in multiple directions. I'm not sure, but that seems OP as well. 

One would think that the eye style of the Rahkshi limits their vision. I also think that you are wrong in how a compound eye works, although I'm not sure if I'm right myself. Also some insects have parts of their compound eye focused on a point.

Anyway, as much as I would love to argue back and forth about Phogen, Exxan, Omega and Fang, the bottom line is this: Exxan's his plenty of justified reasons not to trust Fang, or Omega, and until such a time as his opinions are changed, he isn't going to really believe much of what either of them say.

Even Exxan has his limits. Cold-blooded murder isn't his style. As much as he really wanted Fang out of the picture, this wasn't the way to do it.

Makes me wonder what Exxan considers "out of the picture." Killed in glorious combat? Well, that didn't work. Left for dead on Nynrah? Probably not going to happen. Or perhaps he'll go a more devious route and try to get Fang on his side, which probably won't end well either. Fang's trying to take this as civilly as his temper will allow, but he does have his limits.

 

...I just noticed your Exxan quote in your signature. I need to find a good Fang/Hoto quote for mine.

Yeah... Exxan wouldn't have a problem with killing Fang. If it was in a fight. And Fang attacked him first. He really just wants to prove he's better than Fang seems to think he is. If he stoops to underhanded tactics to get rid of him, then Fang still wins. 

 

And yes. I loved that quote so much that I couldn't just let it sink into obscurity. I needed it to live on somewhere.
