Nato - Xara (7), Dayeth (7) XARA: 3 KO, KNOCKED OUT BY TENJOU; DAYETH: 1 KO

Not that it really matters, since she got herself knocked out of the round, but I'm pretty sure Xara got four KO's, not three.

Would Nocton's blade have it's Black Fire abilities here?

IC: Exsequor

Black fire detected. Exsequor quickly dodged, straight of the way of the unnatural fire. He scraped the ice off of his other weapon and fired a kanoka of weakening at the Dark Toa.

Ah.... Black Fire is a custom power I made up for Dayeth's character. How could Exsequor instantly know what it is if he's never seen it before?

Could you please edit this to something that isn't metagaming?

I figured it was like Maxilos Black fire?

Maxilos had what?    *rushes to BS01*

Maxilos robots are capable of channeling their internal energies of black fire through their swords.

Hm.... was not aware of that. I guess I need to change the name of Dayeth's power to something else, then.

Yeah, Exsequor is a more intelligent Vahki, thus he knows about Maxilos robots.

I didn't realise I'd unintentionally copied the name of an existing power. Dayeth's power and its effects are unique to her.

This is the character I'm planning on replacing Green with (Akhark is currently on back-burner).

Name: Sudrec "The Heretic"

Species: Mutated Great Being

Power/Weapon 1: Exsidian armor: a suit of armor crafted from Exsidian (Bara Magnan Protosteel) that while based off of the general design of Glatorian armor, is much more robustly built, essentially turning the wearer into a walking tank. The only real weak spots on the armor besides the inside of the gauntlets, which are made of leather, are the joints (knees, elbows, shoulders, waist, groin, etc), but even those spots are protected with Exsidian chainmail. Due to both the armor's design and the inherent resilience of its material, blades and arrows are all but useless against it. Thrusting poleweapons might be able to get through the joints of the armor if the user is strong enough, bullets would be able to do a number on Sudrec through the force of the blow despite not penetrating the armor, and percussion weapons like warhammers and maces will give him a very bad day. The armor is capable of self-maintenance, meaning that there is no need to take it off except when Sudrec needs to relieve himself.

Power/Weapon 2: "Nanotech" Containment Spheres: four floating spheres that, when in a square around an object, create an energy field that not only cancels out the target's ability to use their powers, but also causes them great pain if they attempt to do so. The spheres are linked to Sudrec's consciousness via a mental implant, kallowing him to direct their movements at will; if no commands are given; the spheres will simply stay stationary, allowing the target to simply walk out of the field. Sudrec must consciously move the field with his target in order to maintain its effects. Due to being designed as a specific countermeasure to the beings of the Matoran Universe or their alternate universe counterparts, it will have no effect aside from a mild buzzing feeling on any non-Protodermic/Antidermic creatures (ie: any species native to Spherus Magna), as it works by disabling the programming necessary to access those powers. As well, the spheres can only spread so far apart before maintaining their field becomes impossible (maximum size is 25 square feet/2.322 square meters); however, there does not appear to be a limit as to how many beings the field can affect at one time. The spheres fly extremely quickly when off, but when the field is up, they can only move as fast as a Toa's walking pace.

Power/Weapon 3: Elemental Lava: by exposing himself to the Cavern of the Elements, Sudrec was able to partially repeat the Element Lord experiment on himself. Fusing the energies of Fire and Rock, he was able to imbue himself with the power of lava. He is capable of creating lava and controlling it much like the elements the Great Beings created: he can create it, move it around, and manipulate its viscosity and temperature. He also has limited heat resistance in order to not get cooked by the heat of his own lava, but even then, can only fire off lava sparingly to avoid being killed by convection. Due to not undergoing the process completely, Sudrec's stamina with his elemental abilities is quite low compared to that of a Toa, and focusing elemental energy puts tremendous strain on his muscles for some reason.

Appearance: Sudrec's overall build is similar to that of a Glatorian (justification here); however, his true appearance has to be left to the imagination, as he is not only encased in the signature cloaks of the Great Beings but also in an all-encompassing suit of armor. If one can coerce him to remove his helmet, they would see that the left side of his previously organic face has taken a cracked, stony appearance; as well, his left eye permanently glows bright red. The cracks in his face glow the same color as his eye when using his powers.

Bio: while the Great Beings as a whole were known for their love of creation, there existed one individual who loved nothing more than to destroy. Sudrec was originally one of the scientists that worked on the Prototype Robot, but when the project failed and the robot blew itself up, it was not disappointment he felt but a sick love for the beauty of its final moments. Before long, he had obsessively devoted himself to perpetuating the beauty of destruction, hiding his forbidden love from the rest of the Great Beings. And so, he lived this double life for many years, working alongside the Great Beings as they created the Element Lords, the Baterra, the Matoran, and Mata Nui himself; but when his brethren were not looking, he'd conduct his own experiments with the purposes of destruction, while secretly supplying Great Being technology to all sides of the Core War and even participating in some of the fighting himself, disguised as a simple Glatorian. But the chickens would eventually come home to roost: his work was discovered and he was confronted in the Caverns of the Elements, even as he was attempting to empower himself and become an Element Lord himself. Using his new powers, he was able to escape his brothers and go into hiding, but was killed during the Shattering when the cave he was taking shelter in collapsed on him.

... Or he would have been, had not the Host selected him for the Bionifight tournament.

Personality: Sudrec is an oddity among the Great Beings; while most of the Great Beings have an obsessive love for creating, Sudrec enjoys nothing more than destruction. While he can get off from simply smashing stuff, he prefers to take a much more subtle approach and slowly facilitate much larger and "more tragic" expressions of destruction. However, he also possess the typical Great Bring drive to create, something he finds paradoxical. Aside from his "destruction-philia", he is very polite and respectful, if somewhat distant, when dealing with Agori, Glatorian, or other sapient species from his homeworld. However, he is quite dismissive of Matoran and other species from the MU due to having had a hand in creating them; as he is aware of their original purpose, he is unable to see them beyond as having any potential beyond being "nanotechnology". At worse, he refuses to even recognize that they are sapient, and when forced to admit it, he will invariably be baffled by how they developed such intelligence.

Other: due to participating in the creation of the Matoran, Sudrec knows the ins and outs of the sixteen standard elements very well; however, if confronted with a Toa that can control a power not of the sixteen known to him, he will be at a total loss as to what to do. He has a similar knowledge of common Kanohi masks, but to a lesser degree.

Even so, Exsequor already analyzed Dayeth. He knows her element.

So he would think she's an ordinary Ta-Toa, then.

As in, detected her element.

But, she's still a Ta-Toa. Her element is fire. It's just been.... twisted.

Nah, because he ANALYZED her.

So, what? He can detect someone's exact powers just by looking at them? That isn't listed in any of Exsequor's power slots.

OOC: Dayeth was not next to Exsequor a second ago, Nato.

Let's see. She was right next to him, then....

IC: Dayeth - Arena.

Nodding a quick thanks to Kotak, Dayeth backed off a few steps, then unleashed a withering blast of Dark Fire at the Vahki.

And then....

IC: Exsequor

Exsequor began to freeze over, and he froze in place, shut down, but not dead. He was saving power.

So I don't see what's unrealistic about her doing this:

IC: Dayeth - Arena.

The Vahki hadn't vanished; it wasn't dead yet. Frozen solid, it couldn't flee, so even when the shadows enveloped her, she could still step forward and swing her jagged axe right down towards here the Vahki's head was.

That's a KO, mate. And to be honest, if your guy shut himself down, I think that means he's unconscious, which still makes it a KO.

How can Kotak summon a massive avalanche? I don't think even a Toa can do that.

Well, the mountainside is mostly loose, powdery snow packed over rock and ice. Literally all he has to do is dislodge a very small amount of that loose snow, and gravity and momentum will do the rest.

I think "summoned" was a poor choice of words, though. "Triggered" or "caused" would have made more sense.

I'm personally not entirely sure how I feel about suiciding just to have a new character. I get that we've said that your characters dying will re-open a character slot for you, but... I feel like it's in poor taste to have your character suicide specifically so that you can insert a new one into the RPG.

He shut himself down.... which is the robot equivalent of being unconscious.

You can't knock yourself out and wake up at will.

But even disregarding that... he rolled away while Dayeth's weapon was stuck in the ice around his head (never mind the fact that he wouldn't have been able to move at all with a thick layer of ice covering his body).

Right first of all, you'd have to get past the ice first, which is probably thick, and getting harder in the cold. Secondly, he's not unconcious, he shut himself down to save power. I specfically said he wasn't dead, but whatever.

If a character goes to sleep in the middle of the arena, they're gonna get KO'd

You had your Vahki do the equivalent of sleeping

Also Dallior. But back on topic. Three Toa and a Vortixx versus a Makuta and a sentient Vahki. Should be interesting.

When did our group get a Vortixx?

I guess right now it's one normal Toa, two unusual Toa and a Tarsus versus one Makuta.

Boom, new character:

Name: Krantax

Species: Energy Hound

Power/Weapon 1: Energy tracking - Energy Hounds can track down even a speck of dust.

Power/Weapon 2: Gaping maw that can siphon energy from the target to itself.

Power/Weapon 3: Sharp claws.

Appearance: Like an energy hound.

Bio: Krantax was one of 7 guard dogs for a group of seven Toa, fighting along-side the Toa. He was brought to Bionifight for no real apparent reason, most probably because his Toa was meant to be brought to Bionifight instead of him.

Personality/Other: Highly defensive, highly aggressive.

It was a decision made for creative purposes. After the first fight, I realized Green was essentially a one trick pony: acting arrogantly when in a good mood, flipping out when losing or otherwise insulted. Due to her narcissism, she would have essentially remained a static character; character development outside of the realm of slowly falling into insanity would have been nigh-impossible. I felt that introducing a new character would work better than trying to develop Green, as she wasn't giving me too much to work with.

Name: Navuru

Species: Toa of Sonics

Power/Weapon 1: Elemental control over Sonics.

Power/Weapon 2: A Great Kanohi Arthron, Mask of Sonar.

Power/Weapon 3: A scythe that Navuru uses to fire blasts of Sonic energy. And to stab people.

Appearance: Looks more of a hellish unholy demonic monster than anything.

Bio: Navuru appears to exist in many universes, but usually he's an odd yet innocent Matoran turned into a sociopathic yet methodical Toa, bent on the destruction of the Matoran way of life. This one was murdering the last of the Matoran responsible for this change when he was transported to Bionifight.

Personality: Navuru at first may seem like a nice and polite guy, if odd and sometimes inappropriate. But make no mistake. Go up and shake him by the hand and already he's thought of ten different ways to kill you. And he will be laughing after each one...

Other: This version of Navuru was an Onu-Metru archivist. He knows a Rahi when he sees one, and knows what it is.

The feasibility of a scythe as a weapon can be determined through the equation x2 - y, where x is the scythe's reach and y is the number of degrees of the blade's arc.

The coolness of a scythe is x2 + y.
