sydorack
I've always wanted her but I've heard nothing but horror stories about her lime green parts. I know keelerak has lime green parts, and is known for not being as weak as the 2007 parts. I just really love her wings/fins and proto talons. I guess I'm asking is she worth spending the money on her plus an extra keelerak or two to swap out the "bad" pieces.

Toa Smoke Monster
She definitely one of the better Toa Mahri sets IMO. I personally really like her fins and talons as well. xccj
In 2007 there was some sort of issue in the molding process, and most of the lime green pieces were rendered incredible fragile. This affected all the technic / Bionicle parts in that year, including those of Ehlek, Lesovik, and Hahli, among others. The joints on my Hahli did indeed break, as did even the lime technic connector, which is usually sturdier. The Keelerak, being from 2005, did not include parts from the bad lime batch. I know they had issues that year with a bunch of the sockets, leading to various redesigns for the next four-five years, but lime was one of the worst. They did improve upon it, I believe, so not every batch was especially fragile, but enough were that it became an issue. Granted, Hahli was one of my favorite Mahri designs, and if you swapped out any bad joints for stronger ones (either in lime or not) she makes for a decent Toa.) 2 Quote My BZPower Stories Dark Core--Kulagi's Kanoka--A Shadow's Contrivance--Mystery on Keli-Nui--BZ-Koro: To Bring Back Bionicle

I have many that were said to have broken for a lot of people but none of mine did; I only had two cracked pieces from various Bionicle characters of mine. Keep in mind plastic gets brittle with age. And a lot of the broken joint stuff depends on how you play/build with it or how the person you bought it from played with it and stored it. I'd say Mahri Hahli is definitely worth it. Petewa
She was my first BIONCILE, allow me to tell you, even if misassembled, she's worth it. And I don't know what anyone's talking about, the lime green never got worse at any faster a rate than say, system bricks. 1 Quote Mataru Nui, an Interactive Adventure
K0DIAK
I remember those lime-green parts *shivers*. However I recommend getting her, as she was one of my favorite Mahri sets. She also has good parts for M.O.C.ing (Kanohi Faxon, wings, talon, blue parts)
sydorack
I got hewkii and matoro when the mahri line was released and they never broke and still haven't broken to this day. I did get a toa ignika and one of the joints cracked. That was the only 2008 set I got when they were released. I got both toa mata nuis recently however, and both had joints that cracked. I always wanted hahli and I was always nervous about breaking her. Luckily now as an adult I can afford extra pieces and what not to fix her up if that's the case. After reading everyone telling me to get her I think I will. It's just a slight bummer that some of the coolest bionicle sets were sold with inferior parts. Oh well.
Bfahome
Hewkii and Matoro didn't have lime parts; the extreme brittleness was an issue with 2007 lime parts specifically, though any part can break (especially 2008-2010 parts). Personally I've been wanting to get Hahli for a while, too, as well as Jaller, but I've never gotten around to it. I really missed an opportunity with the Mahri line, only having bought Kongu at the time (got Matoro as a contest prize at a later date, though). But my desire for those sets is also based on some planned modifications (including possibly swapping out Hahli's socket joints), so take whatever I say with a grain of salt. Grungemeister
All of the Mahri are pretty great, but Hahli is one of the best. She has my second favorite design, just after Jaller. Her wings and talon are worth it, and the Faxon is a great mask design. When my lime joints broke, I just ordered new ones, and all was good. So basically, yes, she's worth getting. 1 Quote A RUDE AWAKENING - A Bionicle G1 continuation and video-game project(MUSIC COMPOSER) special thx to Inary the Gunhaver for my new username. Booky The Bookworm
I think Hahli Mahri is a unique set, definitely one of the better Toa Mahri! I would recommend her, yes. I've always liked her color scheme, mask, claw, and wings. And their Cordak Blasters were awesome. Toa Imrukii
From my experience of having to get 42 of this set I'd say get it if you wish to then get it, just don't take it apart. But if you are to take it apart be careful in doing so. 1 Quote Quote: "Love has no fear, and no vengeance." | :i: | Andekas ⴳ A RUDE AWAKENING - A BIONICLE G1 Continuation and Video Game Project (ARTIST AND CONCEPTUALIST) | I am an ENFP, that is my Personality. Ghidora131
Honestly, I was underwhelmed at this set and I advise you not to get it. The parts can be found on Ebay with a load of other Bionicles in several lots.
Master Inika
I'd say she's a stellar set, and one of the better Mahri. My personal experience with lime parts was bad, but not quite the horror stories we've all scene. If you don't take it apart, you probably won't have a problem. The real thing to watch out for are any joints 2008-2010. Those are what really gave me trouble. Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. Toa of Ice - 1987
It's definitely a good set. My advice is check bricklink or other sellers to check for reliable replacement parts(which might be from a keelerak or from a unaffected batch) for inmediate use when you build her. also matoro inika trans blue parts are a great alternative if keelerak sets are hard to find or expensive Edited May 20, 2015 by ---Kopaka Nuva---

Cheesy Mac n Cheese
You can always go on BrickLink and order a ton of the pieces in bulk. But to answer the brittleness question, yes. Sumiki
Every lime joint from my Hahli Inika broke; in fact, most of the lime joints I have are broken. Light blue or trans-blue is the way to go here. Just in terms of design, though ... no. I can't recommend the set unless you have a particular affinity for her color scheme, the Piraka torso, or sets from the year 2007. She was the least original of any of the Mahri; the others had more character and just a better design overall. Hahli had nothing but a flipped Piraka torso which made it look disproportionate to her limbs. The wings fins and the non-Cordak weapon are interesting parts, although I admit that I've found a great many more uses for the former than the latter. TheGreatSpirit
What you can do is swap out her line connectors with the lime ones in Keelerak. There's a very, VERY small difference in the shade of lime, but its close enough and much sturdier. 3 Quote In the time before time, the Great Spirit descended from the heavens, carrying with him the ones called the Matoran, to this island paradise. Nidhiki of the Shadows
The lime green joints are indeed awful - my Ehlek is proof of that. Regardless, I always loved the design of Hahli Mahri and consider her one of the best Toa Mahri sets. If you are one to build once and display after, go for it. If you plan on assembling/disassembling her multiple time... well, maybe not. -NotS
