How do you imagine other bzp members? I usually imagine them as their avatars, which can be akward for those who change their avatars often.

I usually imagine other BZP members that have been on this site for a long time as staff for some reason.

I mean, usually I associate someone's name with their avatar, but other than that... I don't really see a sense in imagining what they look like. :shrugs:

For me, it usually has something to do with their proto points gauge.

Ka%27tru.pngBehold, Toa Ka'tru! Sprite made by Strack. Click picture to go to his sprite shop.  Avatar by CeeCee.

It was then that everything fit together in my head. The two clawed beast. The Two Claws. The dual-claw marks. That all was easy. Then I realized something harder to grasp -  because the beast was inter-phasal, it could also travel through time, to an extent. The Two Claws wasn’t fiction, it was true. There was someone else like me, in the past. I continued blinking rapidly and turned back to the beast.

“What do you want?” I demanded.

The beast stood up a bit straighter and looked directly at me. A terrifying voice came from it as it answered.

“You and the girl. Both. You are abnormalities and must be dealt with.”

Words. Their words are how they appear to me, and I see the words as them. It's kind of strange.

Apart from the staff, who I imagine as the pictures in the staff bios.

The avatar sometimes comes into play when imagining a member, as does their signoff tag, and their sig. Between those three, I can typically get a rough idea of their interests and then match a general face to those sorts of interests. I guess I'm playing upon stereotypes a bit with that, but it's harmless, I assure you.

I would like to point out that in some cases the interests/about me section on the profile page holds more information than the signoff tag or signature. ;)

I rarely imagine someone basing on something which isn't really reality-based. However, avatars sometimes make me think about a member's overall interests and behavior.

Y'know what? Fair enough. The next time I feel like I'm stereotyping a member by the stuff I see in a single post, I'll click their profile for more info. You inspired some change today. :)

I use their avatars and sigs.

Example: B6 I see as a cloaked mastermind with flaming hands.

Which I'm sure he is.

If I've seen a picture of them, I imagine them as looking like that.
Unfortunately, this can have unintended side effects. For instance:
In my mind, Smeag is always playing guitar. Even while typing.
Rayg is always making a rage face.
Nuju Metru parkours everywhere.

So yeah, my imagination tends to screw with my perception a little bit. :P

I can sweat through my mouth? :P

But as for me, I find it hard to imagine DeeVee, or B6, or Makaru, or anyone else for that matter, hunched over a laptop typing furiously. It just doesn't work. So typically I resort to seeing them as their avatar.

I imagine them all as Lovecraftian horrors, tap-tapping away at the keyboard with horrific tendrils and tentacles, or claws or pincers. Whatever seems appropriate.

I usually picture BZPower members by the image they set through there posts, so their attitude reflects my idea of who they are. I've also met a good deal of BZPower members at LEGO stores, conventions and one at my own school.

I don't really imagine other BZPers - if I see pictures of them, I know what they look like, sure, but I just don't see a reason why, I guess. However, Aderia's saying of imagining them as storm-troopers is a humorous outlook. :P

All the rowboats, in the paintings

They keep trying to row away

And the captains' worried faces

Stay contorted and staring at the waves

They keep hanging in their golden frames

For forever, forever and a day

All the rowboats, in oil paintings

They keep trying to row away, row away
