If Manas could shrug, Crusty would've. He turned slowly, making sure that his treads didn't lose grip on the ice, and shot forward towards Dayeth.

IC: Dayeth - Training Sector. 

 

Why the karz is it trying to kill me? As if this tournament wasn't deadly enough, now the fighters were trying to kill her outside of the arena as well! She didn't have time to worry about that.

 

As the overpowered crustacean barreled towards her ran to meet it, flinging a Dark Fireball at its eyes before jumping to the side, aiming to distract it so that it didn't see her make the jump.

IC: Donrioda

The Toa of Electricity had walked in (mostly) silence for a few minutes, before finding another Toa. Before Donrioda could even speak, the other Toa asked a question.

"...but can you tell me where I am? Just don't tell me this is an another Bionifight tournament.."

Well then. Donrioda scratched the back of her head, and nodded. "It is a Bionifight tournament. Why? You've been in one before?"

IC: Crusty (Training Sector)

 

Crusty roared as the fireball hit his face, the flames temporarily obscuring his vision. When the Ta-Toa seemingly disappeared, he tried to turn.

Tried.

It's very hard to turn when you're a multiple-tonne crustacean going at motorway-speed on ice.

Crusty slammed into a wall, leaving a sizeable dent in the concrete. He shook himself to get rid of the dust and rubble, and once again flew at Dayeth.

IC: Dayeth - Training Sector. 

 

The time it took for Crusty to recover from hitting the wall gave Dayeth plenty of time to move around, give herself room to maneuver. As the Manas came at her, she repeated the same trick she'd used the first time: throwing fire at its face and jumping out of the way.

 

Her plan was to simply use the crab's own strengths agaisnt it. She'd let it tire itself out, pummel itself every time it hit the walls... A creature of that bulk, moving at the speeds it was going at.... it would do more damage to itself than she could ever deliver. 

 

Sooner or later, it would be too tired, too badly injured, to continue attacking her.

IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Hallways)

 

When Feli heard that it indeed was a Bionifight tournament, she sighed and mumbled "Not again.. my friends are going to be so worried.." Afterwards she responded "Yes, I've been in this tournament once before. I didn't win, but I tried. Isn't it frustrating that we are forced to join this? Ugh.." she paused and momentarily covered her own face with her hand before continuing with a lighter tone: "Well anyways, my name is Feli. Pleasure to meet you." She raised her arm, intending to shake hands.

IC: Donrioda

Donrioda paused, and nodded. "It is pretty lame we get sucked in without asking. Though I didn't actually realize we had an actual chance of returning to our universe." She didn't raise her arm to shake Fell's hand. "My name is Donrioda. Nice to meet you, Fell."

The drone behind Donrioda beeped once, placidly.

IC: Omega

Omega patted Kat on the back, glaring at the that had made her cry. "Hey, it's alright. I'm sure everything isn't dead, I know Fang. You'll win this, I know you will." He said, in a very oddly sympathetic voice. Very strange for Omega.

IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Hallways)

 

Feli assumed that shaking hands must not be a custom in Donrioda's world, although it was possible that she was just being rude. She used her raised hand to point at the strange machine floating near her and asked "What is that.. thing, by the way?"

"Hm? That?" Donrioda said, turning to look at her drone. "Oh, it's my drone. I call it Lil' Blendy."

IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Hallways)

 

She smiled and said "Adorable little creature, but I can see that it can be very dangerous as well." She was unfamiliar with robots, so she assumed that it was partially organic, just like all the living beings she knew. "By the way, has the first round started yet?"

IC: Donrioda

"Actually, the first round just ended. Thankfully I wasn't killed." Donrioda said, glancing at Lil' Blendy. She turned back to look at Fell, and asked, "So, you said you were in the tournament before. How did you get out?"

IC: Zephyr laughed once, even the single syllable managing to sound smug and condescending. Zephyr settled back into his stance, albeit with his eyes open this time, so he could accurately mock Jorth in his head. His arms resumed their motions, a slow motion version of an ancient style of combat he was taught long ago. The practiced, tight motions and fluid movement of it helped keep him calm, which was valuable when he had moments where he almost indulged his temper.

 

"Resent it? Quite the opposite. I welcome this distraction! Leading matoran can be so tiresome, with their simpleness and forgetfulness. My time here is akin to a vacation, really. I've never felt more at ease." He grinned at Jorth before his eyes fell on the coat the toa was wearing. Unconsciously, his lip curled up in disgust as he asked, "What is that thing you're wearing?"

"Huh? I just fought in every round until it ended and the winner was declared. Then I somehow appeared back home. No idea what happened to the winner. Did you think that everyone who is forced to take part in this contest is doomed to die? Don't worry, unless they've changed the rules you should be fine." She paused for a moment and thought about what to say next. "Do you have any allies yet? In the last tournament most people, including myself, formed loose alliances that didn't always last very long. Nevertheless people with trustworthy allies fared pretty well."

I watched the comedic proceeding as everyone was trying to grab a gem, one that apparently had the power to dodge. I went to the Matoran who stopped me earlier seeing as he probably has some experience here. Je was talking with another Rahkshi...Xara.

"Excuse me sir. What is that gem and why does everyone want them."

GM IC - THE HOST - CAFETERIA
 
The Host sighed, barraged by angered contestants. Before he could manage to respond, there was a cracking noise and a hole appeared in the ceiling... in fell two dragons, a Matoran, and what the Host rapidly identified as the Dodge Gem.
 
"Oh dear." We're going to have to fix that, he thought, eyeing the hole in the ceiling. But first...
 
With a whirl of his cloak, the Host teleported into the tunnel above the Cafeteria.

IC: Donrioda

"Hm. Alright then, I supposed I'll keep fighting." The second question was...puzzling. Alliances? That was unexpected. Donrioda rolled her hand, and replied, "I...kind of have an alliance with a Toa of Plantlife. I don't exactly trust him, mostly because his head seems a little big." She paused, and continued, "Head being ego. He doesn't have a literal big head."

IC Nocton:

The Maxilos's ears regrettably were not as sensitive as organic beings', but they did hear the commotion. Nocton took off down teh tunnel, yelling to Von Worten, "Come on!"

IC: Dartakh (Commercial Sector)

 

Oh for Karzahni's sake, where did he go? "Tall Cloak Guy! Heck, come back you Brakas!" He just.. disappeared. Well, he was looking at that big hole.. maybe he went to call the maintenance? I don't bloody know. Brilliant. I sigh and go looking for a really strong drink. That should help.

 

 

IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Hallways)

 

She nodded as a sign of understanding. "You can't trust everyone. I was betrayed by one of my allies last tournament.. that pretty much ruined my chances to win. And arrogant people are rather infuriating, aren't they? But I'm trustworthy. Believe me, a knight of the Order of Hope never betrays their allies, so it would be wise to ally with me. But of course, allies aren't completely necessary if you don't want to win, so if you're not interested I'm fine with that. What do you say? Should we work together or not?"

IC: Lekona - Food Court

 

"Elittra!" Lekona shouted, spotting the familiar matoran. He was about to use his Kualsi to go to her, but Artorre was already on it. With that dealt with, Lekona's eyes were drawn to the Gem. "Well, that's sure convenient."

IC: Well that was fortuitous. Almost as soon as Artorre mentioned Infinite Gems here one was, bouncing around like a rocket. Olari watched the various attempts to catch it, only for contestants to trip over themselves chasing the speedy little stone. You needed to think smart to catch something like that.

 

"Lekona, can you create a small vortex around the stone? It can bounce away from grasping hands, I think it would have trouble getting away from the vacuum suction of a cyclone."

Hearing Olari's suggestion, Lekona nodded. "Not a problem." The Le-Toa gathered his elemental energies, and drew his sword to channel his powers more easily, before forming a cyclone around the Gem as asked.

OOC: Seeing as you missed my last post Alijar, I'll just presume it's okay to bunny Tanzah along to find Dartakh.

 

IC: Miras

 

I stride into what appears to have once been a cafeteria. Now with a hole in the ceiling. Well, that's not something you see every day. Ignoring the Gem skittering around on the floor, I spot the person I was looking for: Dartakh. With Tanzah in tow, I walk over to the Vortixx, studiously ignoring the craziness going on with the Gem, and tap the warrior on the shoulder.

I had just sat down to enjoy my drink when someone touched my shoulder. I glance at them. say "Oh, it's you, Big Guy. How's it going?" and drink some Bakshi ale. Well, at least I think it's Bakshi ale. It has a similar taste, although the colour is a bit off. Bah, close enough.

"Well," I say, settling myself down next to Dartakh. "Dartakh, this is Tanzah. Tanzah, this is Dartakh. Don't kill each other."

Anna sighed slightly, as she walked into the room finally, and unfastened the clasps on her armour, as the Glatorian looked around the room, stretching in her body-suit, as she shoved the armour pieces to the side.

"Sheesh, it's been a long... I don't even know how long it's been." Anna muttered, and sighed. She laid back on the bed, and sighed again, as she closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.

IC: Virnar

 

"............Tell me about it......." Virnar mumbled, slurring her words from the dizziness. The hunter Glatorian numbly tossed aside her heavy and bulky gear, and attempted to drag her legs over to the other bed before she succumbed to sleep.

 

Before she could even take a grand total of two steps though, Virnar conked out and fell flat onto Anna's bed......... Directly on top of her fellow Glatorian.

I also glance at the other guy before turning to look at my cup again. "I can promise you nothing. And by the way, from now on you are known as Big Guy One. This new guy, Dinjiz or whatever, is now Big Guy Two. If you have a problem with that, well, it's your problem so I don't care" I drink some more. This no longer tastes like Bakshi ale, but whatever. It's close enough.

IC: Skorm-Cafeteria

 

Seeing that the gem situation was 'contained'... or at least blocked, the Twi-Toa sat back down. He then noticed that what was left of his food had dust all over it. Eh, he was pretty much done anyway. He left the food on the table (somebody would clean it up... eventually) and started heading out.

IC: Von Worten (Tunnel)

 

Urged on by Nocton, I set off at a run, careful to keep my person behind his. I stretched my mind forward in an attempt to discover the reason for the commotion. I felt fear and panic.

 

Projecting a thought forward, I yelled, Help is coming!

 

IC: Daedalus Drachoren

 

Daedalus turned his attention back to the area behind him when he heard a crack, rumble, and crash. A couple dragons and someone else had fallen from the cei...ling? What? And now a gem was skipping all over the place, avoiding the grasp of any who tried to claim it.

 

Apparently, Ismekne thought it was hilarious. Daedalus just smiled and watched with some amusement.

Tahnok was quick to realize that whatever air he had been heating up was now being dispersed and made useless.

What?! Can this accursed gem really steal the air around it?

Growling, Tahnok stood to his full height and brought his hammer to bear. He raised it above his head, prepare to strike the crystal with the full force of the hammer's weight.

Lekona's eyes widened noticing the approach of the...Bohrok? "Artorre! Olari! Zakaro!" The Toa shouted to his companions, "One of you wanna stop that Bohrok before he tries to smash this thing?"

The female Glatorian was in such a deep sleep, that she didn't notice the other Glatorian for a good while. However, after a good nap, Anna slowly opened her eyes in confusion at the seemingly sudden weight.

"What the, agh!" Anna bolted up, as she accidentally knocked Virnar to the floor, staring at the fellow Glatorian in incredulousness and just utterly confused what happened. "... What... just happened...?" Anna asked, as she was still trying to process what occurred.

He brought down the full weight of the hammer, while the gem, trapped in the mini cyclone, had nowhere to go, the winds around it keeping it in place for the final strike.

GM IC: DODGE GEM (CAFETERIA)

 

The Infinite Gem was pulled in by Lekona's powers; however, when Tahnok Nuva tried to smash it with his hammer, the Infinite Gem spun out of the way, spinning right into the Bohrok's face before spinning to a stop at the claws of A.D.

 

 

GM IC: KOPEN'S GROUP - TUNNEL

 

As Nocton drew in the shadows, allowing them to see, both he and Von Worten suddenly found themselves unable to hear anything - and then Lytrel and Kopen were revealed to them, struggling in the grip of tentacles that were extending from the walls up ahead. As the two other fighters drew near, more of the appendages turned towards them, twitching and pulsating as they began to extend in their direction.

IC Nocton:

Nocton quickly released his shadows in the form of razor-sharp spinning disks aimed at the appendages holding Lytrel, as he fired off three Fragmentation blasts at the tentacles approaching him.

IC: Tahnok Nuva

 

Tahnok loudly grunted in pain from the gem's impact with his face. The impact was enough to stir the Krana Xa into motion, and it began to heat the area, reciting its mantra as it did so.

 

"CLEAN IT ALL IT MUST BE CLEAN."

 

Tahnok barely was able to smack himself out of it, but not before the Xa directed a lance of fire at the gem.

An exasperated sigh, like steam escaping from a kettle, struggled its way out of Artorre's constricting vocal cords, as Lekona's cyclone pulled the Infinite Gem away before he could reach it with the trash can.

 

"Olari!" He called, "Your power was Magnetism, right? Could you hold that Karzed hunk of metal in place?" He pointed towards Tahnok Nuva.

 

Meanwhile, he sprinted towards the Gem once more, still trying to cover it with the trash can.

Was I really being purposely ignored because of my pacifing abilities? I wasn't angered though, because it would ruin the clear mind I was maintaining. I decided to just observe the chase for the gem.

She was completely blind in the silence, oblivious to the new arrivals. All she could do was struggle as the... things released their grip for a moment, only to come back with renewed force. She frantically stabbed at them with her spear, scraping her own legs in the process. She didn't care about the pain. All she felt was panic.

IC: Lekona - Food Court

 

Lekona saw the blast of fire flying through the air towards the Gem...but based on what he'd seen so far, this thing would swerve out of the way no problem. When it inevitably moved, and once it was out of range of the dragon it was currently near, Lekona formed a cyclone around it once more. "Artorre! In that cyclone it should only be able to get out by going up! You should be able to trap it in the can this time!"

The Toa of Fire activated his Calix, closing the remaining distance between him and the Gem in a single bound. As he contacted the ground several feet away from it, he pushed off with his legs once more, slamming the trash can over his head, downwards, towards the gem and the cyclone.
