  1. Calm down. We've been through this before. PRRC wont allow anything to permanently jeopardize its main source of income if it can do anything about it, that means its little feral pet will need to comply or not have any more food put in its food bowl. What do they say about biting the hand that feeds you?

    Love the reference though.

  2. To clarify, there is at least one Great Being from each tribe barring Earth, and elemental tribes are pre-shattering, not post-shattering else the Core War would've happened very differently.

Your game and lore dude, I just saw things differently that's all.

Allow me to explain my head-canon-rooted answer: the Great Beings emerged long before they divided the world into like-cultures under the Element Lords (as prescribed by the Great Beings) and the birth of the modern elemental groups comes from the ancient reign of these physical god-kings; later the core war would erupt and rage for centuries, destroying the planet bit by bit until KABLOOIE! (The Iron Tribe was a group that came from the Iron Hills of Bota Magna and were later dubbed as such (or Iron People) after rise of the element lords because the denizens of the lower Skrall River region was accustomed to dividing people into tribal affiliations. Other areas probably also use the term 'tribe' or other words for groups)

  3. Tesara twin-villages - Tesse (Tess-say) and Arrah (ahr-rah).

Great Being: Tahedin. Male. Colors being mostly gold with turquoise trimming and wears a mask with the same colors (gold and turqoise lines).

I always saw the Great Beings as being of there own group of ancient agori before their divination (which in A Rude Awakening I named them the Larfeia, the masked ones), so I am against assigning them a skrall river elemental tribal affiliation.

  4. I think the reason for the longevity is probably the remarkable quantity of people who waited for first reports to come back that it wasn't just another awful DC movie. =P

Man of Steel isn't horrible, certainly not the best either... used to be one of my favorite movies, but I saw it again earlier this year and lets just say its nowhere near the top now. But I find Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition to be magnificent (the theatrical variant does have many problems). Wonder Woman was great as well, so good job for the film! Also glad WW1 was given some attention in media.

  5. Not all anime has the same thought or mind of thinking behind them. Humans are a diverse group of peoples, and stories often carry with them both their cultural traditions as well as their interpretation and views on them, as well as their personal experiences shaping the angle; sometimes, this is not even an aim as the goal is separate from their origins. Grouping them all together feels wrong.

for the love of god, watch the original 1995 anime film. it's an absolute masterpiece, one of the greatest films of all time, and a huge influence on the genre of cyberpunk. this live-action adaption is decent but nowhere near the original and terribly shallow compared to it.

sidenote: that "FAKE NEWS!" comment on your last entry was a joke and a response to Iaredios's comment, which was more political in nature than my comment to begin with. a quote from a person involved in politics, especially when it's a dumb meme, isn't inherently political or making things about politics lmao.

I've only seen Stand Alone Complex (love it), but I plan on getting the original movie soon. Going to wait until after my birthday. I would much rather watch that then this live-action adaptation (which I thought was going to be shallow anyway).

And you are very correct, mine was much more politically focused, but I risked posting it anyway. Surprised yours got the blog locked rather than mine.

  6. It should have been done better....

...if Gendy did not purposefully leave it open so other people, if they wanted, could make their own spin-offs or continuations.

Two words show that there is a room for more:

    The Guardian

For what it is, it's not the perfect ending but it is satisfying and finally gives us closure (except the Guardian).
